Lol Very cool! Always great to have people tuning in who share my tastes in movies. Yeah this really was a banger year for 4K! Thanks for watching and commenting! Really appreciate it.
I completely agree! I know some people couldn't hang with the Cameron restorations, but I loved them! True Lies was the only one that had a few wonky moments/shots, but even then, most of that film still looked better than it ever had before on physical. Thanks for watching and for the feedback!
@@TheOriginalFuzz I think True Lies had a bit too much grain scrubbed away, but all three transfers look light years ahead as compared to what we had before. Aliens was just amazing.
Twister is my release of the year on 4k. I liked the movie itself but didn't love it. Fuzz, you are on the money. The film looked outstanding and it SOUNDED outstanding. If you want to put your sound system through its paces this is one of the best non-Christopher Nolan films for that purpose. (I still get audio-induced goosebumps when I watch Interstellar.) Great video Fuzz, happy new year to you! Looking forward to the releases that 2025 brings us.
Thanks Chad! Great to hear from you. Yes Twister was a pretty big one for me, and I really think it was a stellar release on 4k. I'm really looking forward to 2025 releases... in fact I'm working on a new video for my most anticipated 4K movies of 2025. Coming probably within the next week. Sounds like we've got some great titles coming. Thanks for watching and chiming in... Happy new year!
Thanks my friend! Appreciate you watching. Yeah I can't wait to dig into that new documentary on Chronicles... I love it when they do stuff like that! The special features alone on that release look incredible.
Great list Fuzz! You threw me a curveball though. When you announced you were putting a Sam Raimi movie on the list I thought for sure you were going to say A Simple Plan. I haven't seen Dark Man in decades. I might have to revisit it? Have a happy and safe New Year!
Hi Paul! Interestingly enough, I did actually buy A Simply Plan on 4K and watched it a couple weeks ago. Great film. I think I'm probably going to save A Simple Plan for an upcoming video I'm working on for my Top 10 Neo-Noir movies on physical media. I really got a kick out of Darkman though... I had never seen the film prior to picking up the 4K, but it's a perfect little blend of action, horror and superhero-type film all rolled into one. Awesome old-school practical effects and cool camera angles, etc. from Raimi. Had a lot of fun with the 4K release, so I'd definitely recommend it if you dig Raimi. Thanks for watching and dropping a comment, Paul! I hope you have a great new year.
My favourite catalogue films that received a fantastic 4K release would be Lone Star, The Silence of The Lambs (Arrow), Withnail & I, Double Indemnity, Raging Bull, Blow Out, Mildred Pierce, and North by Northwest. Happy New Year to you and your family.
You know, I think you mentioned previously how good Silence of the Lambs is, and I ended up buying it for my wife (it's one of her favorite films). But we still have not had the chance to sit down and watch it together yet. I was hoping to get to it before finalizing this list, but just ran out of time. But I'm very much looking forward to checking it out. I hear the Arrow restoration blows away the Kino release we got here on our side of the pond a few years back. I just love Arrow... they do such great work. BTW, I'm curious... which label released Blow Out over there? We got a very solid Criterion release over here. That's one of my favorite De Palma films. Thanks for watching and commenting, and Happy New Year to you and yours as well!
All were absolute favorites of mine this year as well, I’m glad to see you enjoyed the abyss, I was so stoked to get that this year. 2025 is looking like it’s gonna be a great year for sure, couple I’d add are Blazzing Saddles, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and Congo just cuz it’s my guilty pleasure movie that has a lot of nostalgia for me haha, great video as always fuzz
Thanks Jorden! I just got Congo as well, but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Looking forward to it. I was trying to cram in as many last-minute 4K viewings as I could before i made this video, and i just couldn't quite fit Congo in. But I do love the VSU box set for it and cant' wait to dig in (probably sometime this week). Also, I still need to pick up Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes for my collection... I haven't seen it yet, but I'm a big fan of the other movies. Anyway, great to hear from you! Happy new year!
That's cool. All three of the Cameron films on my list were very close for me, in terms of restoration quality. Like for me, Aliens was a 9/10, whereas Terminator and The Abyss were like 9.5/10. But yes, Aliens looks absolutely stunning on 4K! Glad to see others out there agree. Thank you for watching and weighing in!
Thanks for the video Fuzz. I got most of the titles you listed, not all but you’ve peaked my interest in a couple, particularly Darkman. I love Demolition man and I am so glad I held out on Twister because I got the box set with the better disc. I believe it is also in a limited number and from the UK, maybe you can correct me if I’m wrong. I got all the James Cameron titles you mentioned and I am also very pleased with them. I have to say, I highly recommend to anyone Riddick by Shout Studios. It is absolutely stellar in my opinion and I think it even rivals Arrow’s chronicles of Riddick. The extras of course aren’t as extensive. Have a great new year! 👍🏻
Oh yeah great point about the Twister box set... I actually intended to say more about it, but kind of lost my train of thought and forgot to mention more specifically about the UK Collector's edition we have...But you're right, these box sets are limited to 6,000 units and are numbered. I wish I had remembered to mention that at the time. In fact, if you look on the bottom of your Twister box, you'll see the sticker with the edition number (mine is like # 1,002 of 6,000). I did pick up the Shout 4K of Riddick, but I haven't had the chance to watch it yet. But I'm not surprised that it would be a stellar 4K... Shout always puts out good transfers. I'll have to dig into my copy here soon. Thanks for watching, and I hope you ave a great new year as well!
Well apparently they are working on a new restoration for T2, so hopefully we'll get a new 4K release in the near future. And hopefully it will include the extended cuts in 4K as well. Thanks for watching!
Oh yeah, I can't wait for the Tarantino 4Ks! I've got my pre-orders in. I'm especially excited about Jackie Brown (my personal favorite of his films). Happy new year!
Oh cool!... So you ordered the same Collector's edition box I have? You'll love it... it's really nice for what it is. And I forgot to mention it in the video, but these editions are numbered as well (on the bottom of the box). Only 6,000 copies total (mine is like #1,002 of 6K). Anyway yeah, I love it when we get editions where the steelbooks are housed inside a rigid slipcase... especially when the steels have the original artwork. Oh BTW, just a heads up: that collector's edition chunky box originally came with UK ratings stickers directly on the box... but don't worry, the adhesive is not too strong and they peel off very easily without leaving any residue or remnants, damage, etc. I was relieved to find this out lol!
@@TheOriginalFuzz Yes I love mine too. Twister and even Twisters are some of my favorite movies. I have both in Steelbook versions. I think 🤔 I might rent The Keep tonight for New Year's. Everyone is always talking about it so I am hoping it is good. 🙏😁
Well I'd advise to try and keep your expectations reasonable -- if not low -- for The Keep, just because the film IS a bit of a jumbled mess. It looks fantastic... that killer Michael Mann style (aside from the primitive visual effects). Very cool atmosphere and a cool story... I just wish we had more back story and context. You can definitely tell that there are scenes missing that would've explained things a little better. So just keep all that in mind if you watch The Keep. It's a fun and intriguing part of film history, but it's most definitely not a perfect film. There are lots of issues with it as it stands, just in terms of the substance of the movie/production itself. But I still found it to be entertaining, and it helps that I'm already a fan of Michael Mann's work. Happy New Year!
Hi. Awesome list. I saw a video of another physical media reviewer where, (Chase from AVA Pop Culture) he mentions that the 4K of Riddick has been censored by the director himself. Apparently he removed a scene from both the director's cut and theatrical cut from towards the end of the movie. I have all three Riddick movies on Blu-Ray Discs and to be honest, I don't remember the scene he refers to, but I just wanted to share that with you, as you did mention it was a first time watching the movie, even though you have owned it on Blu-Ray Disc. Great work, keep the videos coming. BTW my top 3 would be exactly the same as your top 3, but maybe not in the same order. I'm also a huge Cameron fan, but and I'm an even bigger Schwarzenegger fan. I would've loved to have put True Lies in my own top 5 too, but I do believe that movie on 4K was a bit inconsistent with its transfer, maybe it was the best they could've gotten it, (Chase has a great video on why it possibly the way it ended up looking). I know the movie is nowhere as bad as some people made it out to be. Thanks
Thank you so much for watching and for chiming in. I really appreciate it. Yes Chase and I are RUclips buddies... he's got a great channel, and I love watching his stuff. With Chronicles, I'm not too concerned about the deleted scene... it sounds pretty minor and inconsequential, from what I've read. In most cases, I don't really have a problem when a director revises their own work (although there have been some exceptions). Kinda like Michael Mann did with Heat... he removed a couple lines that I always thought didn't necessarily need to be there. So in that case, I more or less agreed with the decision. As for True Lies, I think there were a couple things going on with that 4K restoration. For one thing, my understanding is that the original source elements (camera negatives, etc.) were in really bad shape with True Lies, and they apparently had to make some very difficult decisions about what looked best when restoring it. So yeah, it's a little heavy-handed on the technological processing (particularly noticeable on Jamie Lee Curtis' face in some shots), but apparently, it was determined that that looked better than the less-processed approach, for whatever reason. The other thing with True Lies is, that was the first restoration they did of all the Cameron films, and I think they were new to using this deep learning technology that they used to restore the film. So I think they basically they got better and more skilled at using/applying this technology as they progressed through Cameron's catalog -- which is part of why The Abyss and Terminator -- which were the last titles to be restored for 4K -- look much better than True Lies. But I still think the True Lies 4k is the best we've ever seen on home media for that movie, despite its flaws. I did full reviews of all the Cameron 4Ks when they first came out, so feel free to check out the "4K Takeaways" series on my channel homepage... there's an entire episode dedicated to the Cameron 4Ks of Aliens, True Lies and The Abyss. You might get a kick out of my take on not only these releases, but also my take on the controversy surrounding Cameron's approach to these restorations. Actually, here's the link to the original Cameron video I did on True Lies, if you're interested in checking it out: ruclips.net/video/-Ye8bvzqOM4/видео.html Anyway, thanks again for watching! And great to hear your thoughts on this stuff.
@@TheOriginalFuzz Thanks a bunch for the info! I’m actually really curious to know which lines were cut from Heat. I have it on 4K, bought it earlier this year, have the Blu-Ray set, and had the DVD, but I never realized that about Heat. Thanks again! By the way, I also absolutely love a good feature-length making-of or behind-the-scenes documentary. In some cases, I’d even prefer the documentaries over the movie itself, like for instance King Kong: Ultimate Edition. Once again thanks for your time.
@@AshleySouthgate Yeah so your old DVD of Heat will still have the removed lines. But it really was just a couple small changes/removals from the dialog. Here's an AI response to my search engine question re: the changes Mann made: For the Blu-ray release of the film “Heat” in 2009, director Michael Mann made two minor changes: (1) Diane Venora’s Line: In the scene where Vincent Hanna (Al Pacino) returns to the restaurant to pick up Justine (Diane Venora), Justine’s line “You sift through the detritus, you read the terrain, you search for signs of passing, for the scent of your prey, and then you hunt them down” was removed. The camera cut to Hanna rather than staying on Justine for the entirety of her monologue to cover this edit. (2) Al Pacino’s Line: When Hanna is speaking to Alan Marciano (Hank Azaria), the line “Ferocious, aren’t I?” has been removed from the audio track. The rest of the dialogue remains the same. These changes were made to the film for all subsequent home video releases. I was never really a fan of the Justine character, and believe it or not, that specific line had always kind of bugged me about Justine (even going back to seeing Heat in the theater when it first came out). So I had no problem with Mann removing that particular line for Justine. As for making-of documentaries, yeah I find I usually gain a much greater appreciation for a film after seeing such a documentary. I wish we would get more docs like that in our 4K releases. I especially love it when they are new documentaries with recent interview clips (as opposed to archival docs). Thanks again for watching!
The Terminator and Aliens are also my two favorite movies. I'm new to 4K, but I did pick up The Terminator. It's fantastic. I'll check out Aliens. The Abyss is also severely underrated.
Oh very cool -- well welcome to the world of 4K! And be careful... it can get very addictive LMAO!😆😉 But yes, Aliens is amazing in 4K as well. Just keep in mind it's a little bit of a different viewing experience than Terminator in that the film grain has been greatly reduced, so the Aliens 4K has a very clean appearance that gives the film almost a more modern look. It's not as gritty-looking as the blu-ray editions. So some people had a problem with that kind of "revisionism." But, I do think it looks amazing, and I was pretty blown away by the 4K. And if you haven't picked up The Abyss yet, I would definitely recommend that one too... I think it looks the best out of all the Cameron 4Ks to date (although all three films look fantastic, and they're very close). But like Aliens, The Abyss 4K has that same cleaner look that Aliens does. Reduced grain. Thanks for watching and commenting! Always love to hear from others who share the same all-time favorite films lol.
Nice to see Arrow video not forgetting their home market with the Demolition Man release - got the same exact edition (only difference is the BBFC certification logo on the slipcase.😊 As for the Abyss it's one of my favourite films of all time (unfortunately we didn't get it here in the UK - thanks to the rat) had to import it from the US ,but well worth the extra cost - funny as I had to import the DVD too all those years ago.
Yeah the reason things get a little weird with Arrow releases sometimes is entirely due to their licensing agreements. Because they operate in both the UK and US now, the licensing can get a little complex. Some titles they are only legally allowed to release in the US (but not the UK), whereas other titles they can only release in the UK (but not the US). And then sometimes they will have certain titles like Demolition Man where Arrow has the rights to release it in both the US and UK. So it really just depends on the film and what kind of rights they have for distributing the film. I often find myself importing Arrow titles that are UK-only releases, because often times, I can only get the cool "chunky box" edition I want if I import the UK version. Anyway, yeah it's too bad the UK censors had a conniption over the rat scene in the Abyss LMAO! You would think they would'nt be a problem anymore in 2024. I mean, it's not like we're talking about video nasties from the 80s here LMAO! Thanks for watching, and I hope you have a great new year!
Yes it was indeed! These Cameron films were among the 4K releases I wanted the most, and we finally got them! And I thought they looked fantastic! So I was very pleased that Cameron finally got these releases together. Which Cameron 4K do you like the most? (I'm assuming it's probably between the Abyss and Terminator, no?) Thanks for watching and chiming in! Happy New Year!
Very cool! Yeah I added quite a few new movies to my collection this year. I'm starting to run out of storage space! I've got probably about another year or two of collecting before I completely run out of space. And yes, I really enjoyed The Keep. I'm so pleased that the movie finally received a 4K release. Thanks for watching! Great to hear from you, and I hope you have a wonderful new year!
@@agapitotorres7763 Which edition of Road House are you looking for? Are you looking for that beautiful 4K box set that I have from Vinegar Syndrome? Or are you only looking for the standard edition 4K? The limited edition box set is out of print now, but you might still be able to find it on eBay -- but it will be more expensive now because it is a collector's item now. But if you only need the movie on 4K and if you don't need the fancy box set, then you have more options for the standard 4K, which is widely available (even Amazon still has the standard 4K of Road House -- but I think you can also buy the standard 4K directly from Vinegar Syndrome's website after tomorrow). But I think the only way to get the fancy limited edition VSU box set is through the third-party seller market (like eBay -- and the box set edition is usually priced around $100-$150). Here is a link for all the different eBay sellers who have Road House on 4K: www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=Road+House+4K+VSU+limited+edition&_sacat=0&_sop=15

Well I think maybe subconsciously, I figured since you guys hadn't seen any new videos from me in about a week and a half, I'd just give you an extra large dose of my signature ramblings this time around.😆😉
The green sky in Twister wasn't so much a matter of taste or artistic vision but a matter of Jan de Bont trying to recreate actual documented sky changes during incoming tornadoes (his words). The movie making technology to make it work in 1996 wasn't there.
The Chronicles of Riddick was a disappointment because of the stuff they censored out of both versions. I can see editing certain scene out of the director's cut but the same scene missing out of the unrated cut?
I think these were choices made by the director, if I'm not mistaken? So I view it a little differently when it's a director revising his own work, swapping out scenes for alternates, etc. Not quite the same to me as when a label or some company/entity is censoring the work of a director or artist. But I'll have to watch the documentary and other bonus features to learn more about the director's choices/intentions with this film/release, because admittedly the film is still very new to me, so I wouldn't even really know what was missing (although from what little I've heard/read, it doesn't sound like I'm missing much). Thanks for watching and weighing in!
@@TheOriginalFuzz Yes it was. But that's why I stated that should have been taken out in the "director's cut" and left in for the "unrated" cut. So I guess the unrated cut was actually rated.
Regardless of what a person thinks of The Keep as a film, and even though I know they tried, not including the director's cut in the boxset was a major misstep, and makes the whole project a waste in my opinion. Everyone knows what the original cut is. So an HD/4K upgrade alone just doesn't cut it for me.
I don't think it was a waste at all, for a couple reasons: First off, this 4K restoration from Vinegar Syndrome is absolutely gorgeous, and being a big Michael Mann fan, I'd certainly rather have this release than not have it in my collection at all. Secondly, the extraordinary -- if not unexpected -- popularity of this release may have an added effect of catching Michael Mann's attention, potentially causing him to re-think the prospect of revisiting this film for a future release in a more expanded and "definitive" form, given that so many people clearly want to see his true vision for the film (and assuming the source materials even still exist for everything filmed in Mann's original 210-minute cut). He could even pull a Robert Wise and do what that director did with Star Trek The Motion Picture: the Definitive Director's edition... using contemporary CGI to re-do or augment the visual effects in The Keep to be able to execute the ending originally wanted. We know Mann likes to tinker with and revisit his films from time to time, and he loves technology. So I could see this prospect being very appealing him. If we were to eventually get that definitive edition, I wouldn't consider this VS releases a waste of time. I'd think of it as the release that helped get the ball rolling and made the definitive future release possible. Thanks for watching and weighing in!
The only thing I got on this list this year was the 4K Alien film. These are all great picks, I just don't currently have enough in my budget to snag all the 4K's, so I gotta be a bit selective for myself. Hopefully in the future I'll be able to get some more. I definitely want the 4K Terminator, Nightmare on Elm Street, Demolition Man, and I do want The Abyss, especially since I haven't seen it before. Here's to the films coming out in 2025!
Hi Shuxy, Happy New Year! I totally understand... It doesn't help that this stuff can get a little pricey either. On the flip side, with major studio releases, usually if you wait a little while on buying them (as opposed to the day of release), they're more likely go on sale at a reduced price later on down the road (for non-boutique titles)... Like during Black Friday or Amazon Prime Day sales, or other major sales throughout the year. I'm sure Terminator will be one of those titles at some point... albeit maybe without a slipcover. But that's the positive to waiting on certain titles... you end up saving a little money later on down the road. In the meantime, if you would like to see Terminator in 4K on streaming to hold you over, I do happen to have an extra digital code I'd be happy to give you. If you're interested, feel free to reach out to me on X via direct message: x.com/OriginalFuzz70 Anyway, I hope you have a great new year.... I'm definitely also looking forward to seeing what physical media treasures the new year holds for us LMAO! Great to hear from you!
@@TheOriginalFuzz Thanks so much for the offer! I don't have an X account, but it's all right. I already got so many movies on my back log I need to watch from the end of year physical media sales, so I'll be pretty occupied for a while 😆. I'm sure I'll end up snagging the Terminator 4K release before the end of the year.
I wanted to buy Chronicles of Riddick. Big fan But I can't support censorship. Even if it's a bull crap scene. It's still part of the movie! I understand the director didn't like it. But then just change the directors cut. No reason to change the theatrical version. Very disappointed in censorship.
Interesting hill to die on...a 2 second butt grab. And to say you can't support censorship and a big fan of the 04 theatrical counters the point a tad because that version was censored quite a bit, changing the rating from R to PG13. So what's the true version, does it exist? 2024 censorship bad but 2004 censorship ok?
Well from what I've heard about that shot/scene, it doesn't sound like I'm really missing much. In this case, it doesn't really bother me. I view it a little differently when a director is making a revision to his own film vs. when some other company is censoring a director's or artist's work. I tend to cut directors a bit more slack when they're revising their own films... although I totally get what you're saying in principle, and I'm usually inclined to agree on principle. But this 4K from Arrow is a pretty badass release! You're missing out on a lot of cool stuff. It's loaded! Even the brand new feature-length documentary alone would be enough for me to overlook an inconsequential cut shot. Plus the transfer looks killer, and it goes nice with my Pitch Black 4K (and, for that matter, with my Riddick 4K from Scream Factory). Thanks for watching!
@@MrMice... Oh weird... yeah it wasn't deleted by me. I wonder if it was some glitch or something (which does happen on YT from time to time), because I remember seeing your comment yesterday. Unless the OP really did delete it (in which case I would have to agree on the irony factor lol).
@@TheOriginalFuzz but why change the Theatrical? i agree with what youre saying, but the director could have achieved all that by simply changing the Directors cut. Thats like no longer wanting to watch the original star wars, because Lucas himself changed it. Zero issues with director changing it in Directors cut But this is not the theatrical cut. But thank you for replying. big fan of channel
Some great picks here: Demolition Man, The Keep, Aliens, Terminator. Still need to see the Hitcher. Abyss , mea culpa, never did anything for me. I’m so pissed I learned about the Keep special release a few days after it sold out 😡⚡️🔥💣🪓🔪🤬🗡️. That slip cover design is amazing . I saw this film when I was about 10 or so on TV. The atmosphere and vibes are something else… somehow despite some bad special fx and horrible editing the movie continues to live rent free in my mind.
The Keep was so much fun... I was totally into it the whole time. The atmosphere is killer! I only wished there had been "more" to the film lol (i.e. missing scenes). But keep an eye on Imprint's website (which I just learned is the same company as Via Vision - an Australian company), because they apparently will also have some kind 4K coming soon of The Keep, and they may have a very slick collectible edition as well. I'm definitely going to be keeping my eye on them as well to see what they produce. This is their site: viavision.com.au Thanks for watching, and Happy New Year!

@ happy new year my friend
I thought ALIENS!!! on 4K was better looking than ARBY'S!!!
& The DOLBY ATMOS SOUNDTRACK made it come to LIFE big time...
I agree with you Fuzz I think the 4K transfer of Terminator is awesome. Now if they could only get T2 to look like that.
Well apparently they are working on a new restoration for T2, so hopefully we'll get a new 4K release in the near future. And hopefully it will include the extended cuts in 4K as well. Thanks for watching!
Happy new year 🎉 looking forward to next year it's starting off with a bang kill bill 1&2 jackie brown, surprised you didn't get searchers 4k
Oh yeah, I can't wait for the Tarantino 4Ks! I've got my pre-orders in. I'm especially excited about Jackie Brown (my personal favorite of his films). Happy new year!
I got lucky I guess with Twister as I wanted a Steelbook and missed out here so I ordered the overseas version.
Actually, here's the link to the original Cameron video I did on True Lies, if you're interested in checking it out: ruclips.net/video/-Ye8bvzqOM4/видео.html
Anyway, thanks again for watching!
I noticed Alien Romulus got a VHS release from 20th Century Studios. Also on ebay it's expensive.
@TheOriginalFuzz I'll try to pick them up. Thanks.
Nice to see Arrow video not forgetting their home market with the Demolition Man release - got the same exact edition (only difference is the BBFC certification logo on the slipcase.😊
As for the Abyss it's one of my favourite films of all time (unfortunately we didn't get it here in the UK - thanks to the rat) had to import it from the US ,but well worth the extra cost - funny as I had to import the DVD too all those years ago.
I loved your picks!!!
2024 was a great year for fans of James Cameron.
Happy 2025!!
🎉🎊
Yes it was indeed! These Cameron films were among the 4K releases I wanted the most, and we finally got them! And I thought they looked fantastic! So I was very pleased that Cameron finally got these releases together. Which Cameron 4K do you like the most? (I'm assuming it's probably between the Abyss and Terminator, no?)
Thanks for watching and chiming in! Happy New Year!
@TheOriginalFuzz The Abyss in 4K was mesmerising but I also loved Aliens and The Terminator. I was so glad to see that these were also your picks 🤗🤗
Darkman was the first movie of liam Neeson that i ever watch. Fuzz ended the year 38.500. Adquire 3.277 movies this year. The keep is a great movies.
@TheOriginalFuzz from what seller can i get road house on 4k.
@@TheOriginalFuzz the one with Patrick Swayze. Standard edition. No box sets for me. I usually dont duy beautique labels the few that i have i throw out those thick boxes. Also i dont care adout special discs. Books or box sets. I make my own covers. I like to keep everything uniform. Having over 38k movies on a studio apartment i am press for space. I am great at organizing. My organization skill are bar to none.
@@agapitotorres7763 Oh ok sounds good. Well, Vinegar Syndrome is the company that put out the 4K for Road House, and they have the standard edition available right now. Here's the link to Road House on their website: vinegarsyndrome.com/products/road-house?s=rec&w=p
Or, you can also buy the standard edition from Amazon here: www.amazon.com/Road-House-Patrick-Swayze/dp/B0BP5868SX
I hope this helps a bit!
Twister WAS the very first DVD.
Good trivia
Yeah I read this somewhere at one point... but was just covering my ass with imprecision in case I had misremembered lol! 😆😉
Long video fuzz!!!
Or, another way to put it might be to say that Jan de Bont's vision was to recreate actual documented sky changes during incoming storms. 😉
@TheOriginalFuzz I agree with you. All I'm saying is I feel this should have been the Definitive Edition.
If you're interested, feel free to reach out to me on X via direct message: x.com/OriginalFuzz70
Anyway, I hope you have a great new year....
Big fan
But I can't support censorship.
Ironic (and disappointing as well) that my original response to OP was censored/deleted.
@@MrMice... Oh weird... yeah it wasn't deleted by me.
Zero issues with director changing it in Directors cut
But this is not the theatrical cut.
This is their site: viavision.com.au
Thanks for watching, and Happy New Year!
@ Agree with your assessment of the film - there’s a kind of vibe or atmosphere that more recent films totally lack. Thanks for the insider tip (and accompanying link)! I will keep an eye out for sure. Happy New Year to you! 🥂
I like your list. I still haven't seen The KEEP. Maybe I'll rent it for New Year's. I liked The Hitcher, but would have either had it lower on the list or not at all. I think 🤔 what ruined it for me was watching the newer version on streaming. When I finally saw the original it didn't surprise me. In fact I think 🤔 I liked the newer one better. 🫨
