- 15 years after the original series debuted, Netflix’s update of Queer Eye, has taken reality TV by storm again, with a brand-new “Fab Five” and an all-new setting: Atlanta, Georgia.
To help celebrate Pride join Bobby Berk (interior design), Karamo Brown (culture), Tan France (fashion), Antoni Porowski (food and wine) and Jonathan Van Ness (grooming) with them & Teen Vogue’s Phillip Picardi for an inside look at a smart, funny, surprisingly moving second season that finds the cast forging relationships with people from a wide array of backgrounds and beliefs. From social commentary to the best recipe for farm-to-table guacamole, Queer Eye simply has it all.

Antoni is so underrated and talented. Like a degree in psychology, speaks 3 languages, acts, cooks, has an understanding of the service industry, handsome. i could go on, but seriously people should start throwing more respect on his name.

As a straight white guy that struggle with the idea of masculinity and what makes me happy is a debate that comes up often in my life. These five men have been a major influence for accepting my interests that I used to worry were too effeminate and feared the judgement of others. They reaffirmed the fact that I need to be myself to be happy.

Don't over think it. It's not that serious. Practice mindfulness and that really helps get over the hurdles you talk about.
I definitely 100% agree with Tan that everybodys fight is different. Everyone fights differently. Tan's progression and struggle is his. Pressure from his community is an enormous weight that hes still figuring out how hes gonna carry. But that doesnt mean hes not fighting. Love you, Tan.

I love Antoni. He is so eloquent, has worked hard and paid his dues! And seeing him tear up about Anthony Bourdain...I was right there with him. All of these men are amazing, but Antoni is my favourite.

One of the best interviews I've ever watched. The interviewer did a great job with the questions for the most part. After watching every episode of the show and every interview I can get my hands on, I just fall more and more in love with the Fab 5. Watching these five compassionate souls connect with each other, with their audience and with everyday people gives me a little bit of hope in this bleak world. Ahh I love them!

I'm in a very similar place to what Bobby went through. I'm a closeted lesbian in a super conservative christian home and environment. I'm going to church and hearing people clap when the pastor says that he'll never preform a gay wedding. Hearing Bobby talk about how hard it was for him, but being able to see where he is now is so incredibly inspiring. I feel such a connection with him. Good on you, Bobby.
Devyn - I'm a straight Christian woman but can no longer be a part of the evangelical church community because IMO they do not reflect the love of Jesus to me anymore. I cried watching the episode featuring Bobby and know that homophobia especially in the church is not what pleases God. Love you sister.
do you have a close friend or an ally you can trust to talk to about how this makes you feel? i can only imagine how terrible it must make you feel to be surrounded by those that do not accept your way of life .. I am so sorry, and please keep it close to your heart that one day you will find the chosen family you need like Bobby has!! 💛

I also have a fantastically supportive girlfriend who I can't appreciate enough. It is hard to deal with this in my home/church life, but my friends make it a little more bearable. Hang in there! I have so much respect for all you are going through. I have experienced homophobia and hatred before, but talking about it with the people who understood me and loved me helped me. I know you can make it through this!

I really do see them as more than 5 experts fixing peoples lives. I see there big hearts and bright minds. With K and J bringing up culturally relevant stuff outside of the lbtq+ community and outside of the show. I see the change they want to make from their struggles and thats what i think is the most beautiful thing ever. I cried and laughed soo much during this, it was really quite beautiful.💖

How anyone could hear that Getting Curious episode, hear the tears in Tan's voice and how hard it is for him to choke the words out and then attack him for not talking about it enough is just unbelievable to me. It's clear that there's a lot of pain there and he has every right to talk about as much or as little as is comfortable for him. Just because someone is marginalized does not mean they owe you their life story.
1:00:50 Not gay enough? "You have no idea how much pressure I'm under." Tan is so fucking brave. In his culture they put gays to death. He 's probably received death threats from so many people. But holy shit, he's literally changing the world from coming out. And saving so many lives too.

I agree, I get that feeling too!
But at the same time, based on my personal observations, I think it's likely that, how to say, unlike Karamo and JVN being more involved in political topics and have more strong opinions about many things, Antoni seems to be afraid he might say the wrong things or get emotional, making him appear as if he's relatively ignorant or clueless, so he tries to listen more and use more time to gather up his words carefully before he speaks (unless it's about food that he's passionate about), and in turn making him less involved in the interactions and other Fab 5 members trying to cover for him so his burden of pressure can be lessen. You know what I mean? You can see one example from the The Wendy Williams Show interview with them...
Honestly I relate to him in that regards if that's the case, I got told I'm clueless or not gay enough when I'm not as aware or knowledgeable in certain topics as other gay people so I decided to keep quiet and just listen sometimes, topics like Drag race, celebrity news, etc. As you can see, Antoni actually doesn't really watch Rupaul's Drag Race, Tan too.

i have to disagree. as he said, he's in a public solitude. so i feel like that's just how it is. it looks uncomfortable for others point of view but i think antoni really is just comfortable like that. and everybody is respecting that. and i think the moderator does a good job of including everyone in the conversation.

We adored the original Fab 5 but these guys......omg I absolutely love love love them & all they do both on the show & in their lives. Wow, what Karamo says about not being able to beat hate with more hate is so perfect. I feel like that is really the reason millennial men have a higher distrust of LGBT+ people than they used to. There is a large group of people ready to call out and ostracize anyone who displays anything less than full wokeness. People like Tom from the first episode who harbor no ill will towards homosexuals but who lack understanding and say things like "who's the husband, and who's the wife?" are being attacked for their ignorance rather than educated. That alienates them and pushes them towards actual hardline homophobia.
