There's a video in which they are making a quiz. Tan sits on Jonathan's lap, and they chat and giggle while Antoni is talking. Antoni shouts: "SHUSH!", and Tan hides his face behind Jonathan, who has a jawdrop like a 17-year-old girl. It is so fun!

despicablyawesome right?! it’s so fucking validating to see them be goofy and funny and “flamboyant” on screen but then have these serious talks about life and politics in interviews because it shows that the lgbt community aren’t just 2 dimensional things and that we’re just people who are all unique and have all different types of personalities that it makes no sense to stereotype us all together. This is really long but i just love them and your comment so much!!
That shift in levels of education feels validating, in a way. Bigots used to be the only ones who had access to education (because they set it up that way), so naturally they were more knowledgeable and well-spoken. It was a tool for them, proof that POC, women, etc were too stupid to be worth listening to.
Now their descendants are screaming anything and everything, and would be an utter embarrassment to the bigots of yesteryear. Now *we* have the subtle, well-spoken, well-educated men, women and non-binary folk. The visionaries who are shaping our future.
It's exhausting to always have to rise above. But at least we're capable of doing it, whereas someone like Trump lacks the tools and the humility to even attempt it.
Bigots have grown so brash, being at the top, and if nothing else, it's nice to watch their long and hard fall from grace.

After watching this, Tan is definitely my fave. As a Muslim myself, I completely understand why he struggles with talking about his issues with the community regarding gays. He’s so brave for coming out and so strong in fighting off those who want to hurt him all because of his identity. Ugh I love him so much.

I, too, agree wholeheartedly with this original post. Are we not commanded to love one another? That command does not exclude LGBT individuals, or any other group of people. When will the conservative Christians acknowledge that we are ALL sinners in the sight of God, and no one sin is worse than others? I love these guys, they’ve taught me so much and opened my eyes to the shared struggles that we all have!

It's so interesting re-watching this because I cannot tell you how many times I watched the cast's 92nd Street Y interview and I *just* noticed at like 18:51 when Karamo is talking about them being 5 men that JVN deflated a bit, opened their mouth as if they were going to say something, then decided against it. I don't quite remember if they had come out as non-binary at that point yet, but it's so interesting to see.
I noticed that too and it made me so sad as a nonbinary person who is often misgendered and knows what it feels like. Obviously it’s different for everyone and idk if that’s what Jonathan was thinking in that moment or they could have been thinking something completely different but I felt for them
I couldn’t love these guys any more. They are truly intelligent, kind, caring and funny human beings. I want them all as my friends.

This is why I love all five of these men so, so much. They are beautiful, fun, and hilarious, but they aren't afraid to get real. They are passionate and genuine and talk about things from the heart! They aren't afraid to show affection to one another and break down barriers, like our society encourages us not to do. For so many reasons, I have so much endless respect for all of them!

I love these guys so much. They’re not afraid to show their true selves, they’re not afraid to show their love for each other. They’re so diverse, not only in races and cultures but in opinions. Hearing them speak about whether we should have conversations with close minded people really gets you thinking. Personally, I agree with JVN because I’m so tired of trying to make my voice heard by bigots who just won’t even listen. But then, when you hear the other guys’ point of views, you realise that they’re all right.

Been watching QA since i was little! Now an adult, I still feel something is wrong with me and I can't even be who i really am at home, let alone in front of millions (i'm working on it with my therapist now, though)! I wish EVERYONE had a support system that included people like the QA cast; Everyone deserves to feel good about themselves. These guys are Heros for showing us that loving each other and celebrating our differences makes life so much better! Kinda profound, really! Our nation needs this soooo badly. I hope this show goes on at least another 20 years!!
