Had one of these in the 90's but black and the bird was just starting to peel. WISH I still had it :( Was all original as well skirts and all. My dad had a 77 with t tops. 70's Trans Ams were beautiful. Best of the 70's.
Beautiful car, Mr. Tony! Thanks for making people's Dreams come true.
Man, if I were in his garage looking at all those American beauties, I would feel like a kidin a candy shop, You Americans sure made some really awesome cars back in the late60's thru to late 70's.
I LOVE this car, I think its one of the best Trans-Ams that I have seen. I just hope it
went to a good home, and is being kept in the condition seen in this video.
Gary Dunn
Gary Dunn the buy did a video on this car, I noticed that it also had the custom trans am text on the hood scoop. Seemed like the car is getting the love it deserves.
Gotta love those rims!!
That's one bad ass TA !!!
oh my gawd that's like my favorite car ever.. only in gold
looks great. THe 17" wheels/tires look awseome. Way better then the swamper tires they had
Just beautiful. Would love to own it!

I had a 455 bored to a 468. H. O. heads H.O. Intake In a 79 4 Speed Tire smoker. 373 gear rear end. Top end was almost unlimited.
I just put a tremik 5 speed in my 76 can't wait to take it out!
Keyword had,,
My dream car!!!
The '70-'76 shaker scoop is also incorrect.
There's a lot about this particular vehicle that looks like it was pieced together by some mook at the pick a part junkyard.
Damn u wanna trade! Looks and sound great man
CHULADA DE CARRO # 1 POR SIEMPRE SALUDOS 9.999.LIKES...
Hopefully mines will look like that someday
Very nice car...but I got to have t- tops..
Great looking car!
@Flemingsclassics thanks for answer
OMG! he sounds like that devil guy from the anime movie "Hercules."
Havn't seen that movie in years, but he reminds me of him.
pro touring=artistic liberties
I LOVE IT :-)
@peteq1972 Pontiac actualy registered the name of the phoenix/firebird symbol as The Screaming Chicken Design. So people are right to call these cars that. Its an oddbally piece of trivia.
ATTENTION:
This car was sold, long ago.
~ Benjamin Freeb
i gotta get that
Coil overs and leaf suspension?
How much did you sell it for? I had a dark blue metallic one. Wish I still had mine.
Tony, This Trans Am is basically what I am wanting to do with mine
I saw on you web site you do restoration and was wondering how much
this transformation would cost
Just a shot in the dark I'm sure but do u still have the red transam for sale that would make my day! And how much if possible? I think I just saw it's been sold along time ago I'm soooooo sad! Is there any way of having or getting the new owners info maybe they are willing to sake lol ya new era k ow if ya do t ask thanks a bunch!
Its not a factory restoration. The even says Pro Touring right in the title.
Yes we ship worldwide, give us a call at 1-301-816-1000!
That G.T.O in the background is scary
Who cares the car is beautiful
I don't like the oversized wheels , I do like the fact they went with the 400 Pony vs. the 403 Olds motor.
The Olds engine was under cammed in the TA

I may be wrong but it looks like those grille inserts are red, aren't they all supposed to be black irregardless of car color? I have a fiero bronze 1980 T/A and my grille inserts are black stock
Not that year, all color of the car
its a custom car..dont be geniuses guys
Correction. Rear end was a .323
That's what mine is on a 76
All smiles at 7:53
Still available?
good cer
I see the tail lights are the true 1979 with 3 divisions per side + reverse clear light. I see so many so called 1979's with 4 divisions per side and the semi smoked reverse light. I think they were made after June 1979 (same styling as the 1980) and the true 1979's were made prior to June. Any comments?
Your correct. I had a 79 T/A, other T/A's I would see like 79-81 or hell even earlier models always seemed to have a tail light out. I miss mine. Wish I still had it. Seeing this one brings back all those memories of it. One thing I applaud these people that updated it. They kept a Poncho motor in it. Instead of dropping a Chevy crate motor in it. I'm from a different era. Ya just don't do that, it's like dropping a Mustang engine in a Camaro. I did notice it does not have the factory exhaust tips. I think that makes the T/A stand out on the back end view..
Neo Geo you're absolutely right, I almoat made the same mistake of trying to put a chevy 454 in it, my pops stopped all that nonsense
tail lights are not stock and I don't like how the exhausts look
Agree, skimmed on the T/A tips, but allot of nice add ons, kind of like how I'm doing mine!
Not bad, I just don't like the exposed speakers on older cars like this. I am all for having a stereo that you can actually hear, just don't like to see it, haha.
For starters, the builder of this car didn't bring it back to "original" condition, that is a the hood bird emblem is from a 77-78. Also, those are tail lights from a 77. EPIC fail!! Looks good though with Mayan Red. With a good glaze coat during the detail process., any car will look bad ass.
Not taillights from a 77, they have just 2 dividers in the middle
anyone know where i could get carpet for a 1979 pontiac firebird formula, im in canada?
eBay
classic Industry
Yea they supposed to be black,,,,,,,and yea it's the wrong hood decal,,,,,,,,,but still a great car.
how much are you guys in the us paying for a galon o gas? in the uk its now just under £7(sterling-dunno what that is in dolla`s), fuel prices in the uk are whats stopping us gettin these beasts, wich is a crying shame, every 1 should have the chance to sample some american "muscle" like this, and live out our smokey and the bandit fantasies!!!!!! ;) lol
its Fire chicken!! i have a 1978 im restoring
I'm doing a 76, good luck on yours!
hi im tony fleming and ive reviewed every car made
jared p - Didn't understand your comment at first, but watched a few more of his video's, and now I get it. Nice one. This Tony guys comes off to me as a late night tv commercial. Trying to talk up every single aspect of the car. While not seeming to know much about it. The kind of used cars salesman you stay away from. He only needs a 70's era plaid jacket, and straw hat, to fit the bill.
Its got 73 hood bird on it .
All that money invested and they couldnt get rid of the v-belts???
Hey Tony, can i buy one of your car from france ?
car allrite but only thing i. wont old as me is big face.pay some bills.
Where can I get electric cut outs for my firebird
I got mine on eBay, mine are remote controlled!
Quick Time Performance .
Lord have mercy.....
Hi Tony tu parli italiano ? ? ? ?
You should say a price on the video
Giannis Grammatikos we can’t. If the price changes, we would have to remake the video. Visiting the website ensures that you have the correct info including price changes and upgrades to the vehicle, should either change.
Omg
ahem... Machine turned dash ;)
fleming is my last name.. if i buy def. come to you
It's an automatic. Aw damn.
It would take very little work to make this origional looking. Keep the wheels, and shaker, but the grills need to be black, window trim should be black. Stickers are not correct but ok. Like what you did to the cooling system.
google it!!!
Exhaust way to low... And should have went with a lsx motor, my opinion....
I‘M QUITE AFRAID TO ASK HOW MUCH IT IS.....OK HOW MUCH & IF IT‘S OUT OF MY LEAGUE, DO YOU SELL ANY T-As FOR THE RANGE OF $25,000.00 TO $35,000.00???????!!👁
Car looks good overall but too much orange on the trim/door handles and underhood parts (m/c etc...) Where's the factory tach? You take a risk when you pro-tour a muscle car and some look really good but sometimes it goes too far....
it burns oil
Wrong hood decal the 1 on that was used from 73 to 78
That is FIREBIRD not a chicken please stop I think you have Issues? I had 2 of those and no one ever said chicken?
The bird is for 1978 not 79
+Nazar Alroumi The side and rear Trans Am decals are from the 76-77 model year.
+Nazar Alroumi Hood bird is 77-78, tail lights are from 77. The nose is from a 79.
@@warhawk40 They also used that "swirl" style for part of the 1978 model year and then GM switched to the "block" style letters.

@BugattiVeyron56 give us a call, we ship int'l all the time. 301.816.1000
Does it have a condom dispenser?!
Ok, here is the first dislike.
Wheels are nice but don't belong in that model
