Was wondering what weight oil you recommend for a guy about 200lbs and also is it necessary to get a lowering kit for the front or can you just lower the factory forks by letting them slide up more towards the tanks by unloosening the 3 bolts on each of the forks ?
I'd still go with the 20 weight to slow down the rebound and compression. You can only move the forks up through the triple tree a couple of MM because after that the stock fork legs taper.
💡This one really improves handling, went bellray 30wt and it's firm does drop off after a few months, 230mill is just right, 235 pushed the forks seals a bit to much
It was also nice to see somebody that knows to pull a crescent wrench handle in the direction of the movable jaw.
Thank you! Was nice to see someone run through it before attempting it myself.
Thank you! i searched the whole internet to know what the stock grom fork oil was
Thanks for the video. Is 230mill also for stock suspension? Hai from the Netherlands.
When you see the steady logo you know its quality info.
Thanks
2:04 yikes... I don't want to be that guy, but never use adjustable wrenches. Love your vids

Is 230ml how much fluid should go in stock front forks also ?
Great video, do you know if the stock suspension also needs 230 ml of oil?
Cool informational video, now i plan on changing my fork oil out too. I like your torque wrench👍🏼
where did you get that dubble exhoust ???
Yoshimura, they did a 100 unit production run. Email them though, they said they’d do another run if they got enough interest.
would this affect winter riding?
Buddy needs to learn how to use a torque wrench

7:31 nice watch buddy
Excellent video
Woop!
Great video! What year is your bike? Curious to see if it's similar to 2023. Thanks!
2022, same as 2023.
@@eastcoastishhow do you know how far to put the shock back up in when putting them back on? Trying to psych myself out to do it. Lol
@@toddboden972 you mean how far to put them in the triple tree? It’s pretty much flush with the top but take a pic before you take it apart 😉
Ok great idea. Thanks again!
10:02 you put front axel in wrong way
Does axle bolt direction matter?
Stock is not 5W oil
What is it then?
Alright then, keep your secrets.
