Thanks for sharing Not sure about this piece . I dont see it being in anyone's collection for long. I can see it in a consignment shop on a mannequin. Not for sale.
It's unusual for sure; I think it's also a collector's piece being that it's really the first of its kind at Louis Vuitton and with the new creative director.
When I saw it on you IG posts, I thought it looked so stunning on you! If I didn't know you and saw you from the party, I knew right away it's Virgil Abloh.
🧐Interesting piece, i really like the embossed leather with the monogram, great craftsmanship!!👍🏻, as for wearing it, i think its a cool statement piece for the right fashionista..🕺🏻. I liked the look inside the blazer, looks discreet but really distinctive with the white monogram popping up... 🧐🧐.. when you buckle up at the back the two straps hanging down look kindda silly, maybe a sticky velcro will keep them up tight to your body, it would look better in my opinion, otherwise from the back you could look like you are carrying a baby at the front🤗.. my 2 cents of advice.👨🏻💻
Feels to me like a statement piece from a new designer, intended to make a splash and point to future direction, rather than being a piece people will actually buy. Can't say it works for me.
If they made those soft trunks (looked like cottevilles -same show) in white that would be great with this piece and a suit as per your styling. I think there is in this material though idk. D/worry about pocket practicalities, this is a luxury, it will more than pay u back as an iconic collectible by 2030.
There are special detergents you can use with leather and clothes/wipes. There's not necessarily unique about LV leathers; you would treat it like any leather good
These luxury brands can sell ANYTHING if they put their logo on it. LOL A shitty piece of leather for 2.5 k. I stop wanting to make sense of this world.
To me fashion should be practical as well as stylish. In my humble opinion, this leather vest is not one of such. Who would wear such a vest and on what occasions ? Another thing about the one piece material used in making the Speedy. It was not never like that in the past. The original design has a cut at the bottom so that both front and back has the LV monogram display upright. When MJ took over, he overhauled the bag - removing the leather lining that made LV a luxury brand (in the past) and replacing it with raw canvas lining. And with that the one piece LV monogram as well. Its definitely cheaper and faster to make a bag and yet able to sell it at escalating price... why not ? Sometimes I still miss the way things are made and made-well; justifying the costs. Nowadays, its become something showy.... so meaningless mostly....
Practicality is too limiting in "Fashion"; we'd never explore new concepts. There are plenty of other brands that value function over form...but you don't typically see them walk the runway. If I valued practicality, I would not buy LV or Hermès, Gucci, etc.
Hi, thanks for taking time to reply. Appreciate it. Can I assume that you are more arty farty kinda guy ? :- ) As long as it is affordable and you like it; it is most important. Just that I feel after watching a fair bit of videos - there are some in the RUclips community kinda gotten a bit obsessive with just acquiring and amassing stuff. It can get addictive acquiring luxury / designers'stuff.
this is what one would wear if you want to look either outstanding or stupid, more likely stupid. it's such an ugly piece specially for the price regardless if it's LV. if it's me, and even if i have lots of money i wouldn't buy it even for 100$. maybe it's just me.
Scoke _ you know there are some dudes that chase exclusive pieces just to have them to own them it’s not about the price tag it’s about limited production piece worldwide..... I’m not lying I hate Virgil style this harness as well bro I wouldn’t buy it too that’s for sure but at the same time I’m not loaded you see it make a big difference
@@krakatoa_8180 understandable. i won't agrue. people have different tastes and preferences. but this one is just crazy. one you can't wear without worrying about color transfer. and it doesn't enhance a look it makes a nice get-up look ugly. sorry but it really doesn't do any good to a good get-up.
It's a beautiful piece, but I can't make a sense out of it.
Hehe I can see that, it's unusual, but I think adds a nice unique flair to formal wear
It’s one of those piece that’s beautiful but can’t be worn 😂
weapons holster, phil has at lleast 10k worth of merchandiseon him at any given time, defend yourself!
I think it needs one more pocket… chest level
I just bought this like 3 days ago. And I have to say all black outfit with this as a pop is too die for.
Nice 😎

Awesome! Found out about it 3 months ago LVoe it!
Nice!

😁 yeah, Virgil is making more of these designs for pre-fall too

Chalamet wore it nicely tho. I still think that this piece is really tricky to wear
Galih Jananuraga yeah i liked it black on black.. so maybe white on white 🤔?
Greg Portman yep, volt on white was nice too
Definitely an acquired taste.
Yes, but also something people need to try on to actually know if they like it or not; I was very skeptical at first
Thank you for reviewing this item. I am in love with it. You do an amazing job at reviewing everything.
Thank you for watching 😁
I love this!!
😎
What size and does it run big ?
Feels to me like a statement piece from a new designer, intended to make a splash and point to future direction, rather than being a piece people will actually buy. Can't say it works for me.
It seems like these are hard to get (so selling well?) and Pre-Fall has a few more iterations of this too...so it's not just SS19
looks nice inside the jacket
😎

Yes they have the soft trunk in white taurillon monogram, but I'm not a big fan of the soft trunks; I prefer the hard-sided trunks.
Should they have included some sort of fastener on the back to avoid the flappy straps? Great vid tho, just subbed
Yeah, I wish they did as well, but people were saying it's just part of the look. Thanks for watching
Nice!
😁
well, i guess it wouldn't be high fashion if it wasn't a little bit crazy
What suit are you wearing?
Givenchy
👍
😎
It’s really nice but $2000 for this is just insane. Why is it more expensive than an LV bag?
I had sticker shock too, maybe it's because of how much leather they have to waste to cut this shape out
@@SartorialPhil LV wearable are alway expensive.
You collect exclusive pieces although I’m not a fan of Virgil I reckon this pieces is a collector one beautiful in its way but yeah 😅.....
Oh I'm well aware LV lost quite a bit of following to Dior with the creative director switch
I think I prefer when it's worn with a shirt/jacket in the same color as the harness eg Chadwick Boseman and Timothee Chalamet.
It's more subtle for sure, I don't have a white suit though...might have to get one lol
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So how do we clean it if we cant wash it?
I mean...it's leather...
@@SartorialPhil I know😂 I've never had leather and I'm just starting a Louis Vuitton collection and I'm clueless😂

people actually buy this unironically?
I guess so! Take a look at IG
Hey! Are you looking to sell This?
if this is a all black piece, you can probably get a james bond vibe... white and blue.. don't get it
No one noticed he has the vest on backwards?? LOL
These luxury brands can sell ANYTHING if they put their logo on it. LOL A shitty piece of leather for 2.5 k. I stop wanting to make sense of this world.
🤪
Why spend $3,000 when u can make the same thing for $25-50
I challenge you to make it for $25 - 50 then 😎. Plus, it costs money to pay a designer to design this.
For WHAT?
i like it
but it just looks like it doesnt fit properly to the body
What does this item do? Hehe! It looks like those stuff in the movies where police guys puts their gun. Hehe
Nothing much lol, it's more of a fashion accessory; you should hold some bills and coins in the pocket (or tickets perhaps).
SartorialPhil hahaha! Coins and bills then.. 😍😘
Like the pétite truck purse, the small capacity makes the design useless........
dont like the dangle at the back
It doesnt make sense
yea no this is just awful, looks awful on the runway, in photos on the site, in the video, and on someone
The more I see it the less ugly it looks

I agree. I can't imagine this holding value either as it's not wearable.
Well I don't force people to buy things I show on my channel and this piece definitely isn't everyone's cup of tea.
宝藏男孩 哈哈哈哈哈
What is the point😂💀
Fashion 😎
Does this vest have a built in wifi? JK! ✌🏻
Maybe you can fit a slim portable wi-fi hotspot in the zippered pocket 🤣
