Throughly enjoyable vlog...that paddle board is great piece of kit....well explained and looks loads of fun for you and your kids...stay safe...thanks for sharing
This is great news! I'm a keen kayaker, and have a couple of inflatables. I have just purchased one of these for my wife as a birthday present because of the obvious practicalities of an inflatable SUP. Cheers!
Thank you for your comment. Yes, more than likely and at some point I will have told them, but in my eyes, kids having a go at anything is a good thing, whether they’re doing it wrong or not…👍
Hello, thank you for your video review. It's very interesting. I want to buy sup board Bestway 9' for my sun (12 years old). May be you with your kids tried such sup board.
Thank you! I buy one today from Bauhaus 279€ -10% Rabatt -240€ in german we say Gutschein and then i pay 11,10€ rest in cash... it is great i am so nervous to Sommer
I have the same board, it really does depend on conditions. Downstream? Upstream? Flat? Choppy? Wind direction? Wind speed? There are so many variables but on average 3MPH highs of up to 5MPH
@@caspervanlife8466 thank you I purchased the paddle board today and absolutely love it . I used the hand pump it came with and wasn’t as bad as I though but I will deff be purchasing the 12 volt electric pump lol . Your review helped a lot thank u .
@Phil M Common misconception. Look up any reputable guide on how to paddle a SUP, and they will tell you that the concave surface should face forward. Seems counter-intuitive perhaps, but it's more efficient when standing up.
@@grumblur the paddle that comes with this board isn’t the same as a standard paddle board paddle, which you are right should be used angled forward. Because it can have an additional paddle blade added for the other end to make it a kayak. He is using it correctly
Hi. I've read Oceana weights 13,7 Kg,which I think it's a lot compared with other inflatable boards which weight only 8,5 KG (they say). The Oceana is not one of the biggest. How this can be explained? thanks.
Perhaps down to the fact it’s a relatively cheap board and the materials used are more bulky, compared to the more expensive boards that may use more technical (and lighter) materials…just a guess. As a novice/beginner board I think the extra weight may make the board more stable in the water… you get what you pay for I suppose. I don’t find the weight an issue 👍 thank you for your great question…
Hi Jester, thank you for your review. Would you mind telling me your weight? I'm considering buying this paddleboard, but the current 2021 version (12 cm thick) has a maximum load of 120 kg, and I've seen other reviews where they say that 120 kilos is overrated and you really shouldn't be heavier than about 100 kg. That's a bit of a problem for me, because I'm almost 6'6" and although I'm slim, i weigh about 105 kg (230 lbs) and will never get much lower than that. What was the heaviest person who tried your paddleboard, and how did they feel about it? Also, do you think that with my height I'd be able to sit down with relative comfort and use the board as a kayak? Is there enough room for legs, do you think?
I’m 75kg (I know… lightweight 😆) and I’m the heaviest that’s been on the board. With regards to sitting in kayak position, don’t bother with the foot rest and stretch your legs out. It’ll never be the best kayaking position, but for short periods is fine…👍
@@caspervanlife8466 Sorry about messing up your name, Casper! :) I just looked at the name of your channel and didn't think twice about it. I'm not a native English speaker, so I didn't find it odd that your first name should be Jester. And thank you for your reply!

It really is! We used it every day and loved every minute (even the falling off)...
Looks fun hope you and your Kids had a great time on the paddle board.
It was! We all had an amazing time...

Many thanks for you original honest review and this follow up I think we will follow your lead and get the same SUP 👍🏻
You won’t regret it… enjoy👍
Congrats for doing that at your age!
😂cheeky bugger…54 now and still out there 👍
Perfect! But do your kids not use the paddle wrong? It looks like the paddle should be turned around in their hands 🤔

@@JesterBushcraft Oh, I fully agree :) I just bought it, well not the exact same model, but same brand. Thank you!
I was sold! But the only version I can now find is 12cm thick just under 5". I wonder if they've stopped making the thicker model?! Disappointed!
I just bought this today after watching this review.. then also saw it’s only 12cm now :(

were you able to reach nice speed with it?

Does it have a gopro mount on this kayak?
No, I added my own very easily. Just used one of the adhesive mounts…👍
Can you just turn up and get on the water with a paddle board or do you need some sort of licence?? Would love to get one and take it away with me .
Can u please share the link to the pump . It would deff be worth it .
Hi Amie, I included a link in my video description. If you use that link it will take you to the pump I used in the video…👍

Does this come with a pump like yours?
It comes with a manual pump (which works fine), but the electric pump will make your life so much easier…and save you a LOT of time…👍
Looks awesome, thanks for the video, can you send me a link of where I can buy one please. I can only find them £400 ??
Thanks Sam, there should be a link in the description box. However the price can fluctuate depending on when you check. Maybe keep your eye on it...
Thanks for coming back to me. Currently out of stock so I will keep an eye out. Thanks very much. 👍
Use the oar the opposite way though 🤣🤣

How do you remove the fin for storage?
The fin is fixed, moulded into the Hull…

Тоже хочу приобрести такое плавательное средство. Но для меня это дорого... Жаль...
Покупал год назад такой в Ленте за 20000, что относительно дешевле других сапов

Looks like y’all are using the Oar wrong.
I will give the paddle board a miss I will stick to my kayak as my ballance is not great
Nothing wrong with the kayak Krista, each to their own...
