If you’re looking for a con, your opponent likely won’t ever draw the blanked card. So it won’t directly hinder your opponent. And when you play Copycat now the opponent knows their bottom card and may be able to plan accordingly. Reaching, yeah, but there’s a reason they think is a printable card. Maybe they got it wrong like Loki, but we’ll have to see.
The only downside I could genuinely see is sometimes it might be a 3/5 that it wouldn’t be optimal to play. Like I’m not playing Copycat on a turn 3 if I know she’s there Hela, that’s crucial information that the second they see it they retreat!
Counterpoint to that, that's a 2 Cube game that you already won. You draw/copy Hela and that's the point that you snap. They retreat on 6 when they don't draw it.
The only con i see with copycat is that both players have copycat thinking look i got his good card. Let's snap both players snap only 1 will win . As for the new deck that took over the meta copycat might not phase it yet. Only time will tell. Should i get this card maybe. Yet the cards coming out in 2 months looks better depending if they work like i think they work. If they do work the way i think they work we will be in Yu-Gi-Oh! territory and then the fun begins. I like the video just letting you know what i think.
I don't know why a lot of people think that korg and rockslide shuffles your opponent's deck, it just shuffles in rocks without shuffling the whole deck.
@@rezsnapper My mistake i guess, well then they should change the text on korg and rokslide like: "Shuffle your opponent's deck with /a rock, /2 rocks". And there would be no room for misinterpretation.
Saying there are no counters is wild. Just having certain cards in your deck makes Copycat a dead card. I have a Dracula deck i used a lot to hit infinite ladder and Conquest that plays Cull Obsidian, Crossbones, Sentry, Atuma, Destroyer, and Infinaut. Then there is the Shuri deck using Maw, Lizard, Mary and Red Skull. If Copycat grabs any of those, she becomes garbage and if the other player gets a shuffle, they draw an improved card
That being said, she absolutely gets a nerf lol. You're right, she is super good. Drewberry sold me on this card when it was datamined. I miss him 😢. Thanks for carrying it on in his name
You're missing the crucial point here that if she copies any one of your examples, that's given you information with no cost. As the player playing Copycat, you would decide if you want to bail if you get a particularly disastrous copy, or how it will affect the way you play the game. Heck, if she pulls the Dracula, that's even good as a card to play because it's generally at least a 3/6.
@@rezsnapper oh no I completely get that is why she is good and that ability she gives you far outweighs the possible bad RNG you could get. Still, I think the two decks I mentioned are just a couple of examples in how you could counterplay the card.
The thing is that if the effect she copies is even marginally positive, shes great. Shes going to sell sometimes but more often than not shes going to be something that never feels bad to run.
Yeah precisely. Most cards do not have stats as efficient and valuable as 3/5. Vanilla 3 drop is 3/4 (mental). So just randomly, some commonly played cards off the top of my head. White Widow, Darkhawk, Sera, Shang-Chi, Angela, Sage, Red Hulk. Those examples range from very good to absolutely insane at 3/5.
I don't think even that is particularly bad. Depending on when it is during the game, it might give you an earlier idea of the deck they're playing, and you can (if you need to) start blocking right if you think you'll need to play Copycat.
I believe that we know that they know that we know that they know that we know they don't know. Nah. Being serious, they would not know you even drew Copycat.
Can say that about him for every lower cost card but it’s a VERY Slim chance of that happening, you gotta have him , play him, same turn she’s the next card your opponent s drawing , and then still steals and gets info regardless .
If Copycat steal Infinaut's text and the oponnent get him...
Fortunately it's unlikely they will draw it, so it's a bit of dead draw for you, but you got the information out of it.
“Rock people”😂😂😂😂

You can keep a card like Korg to shuffle their deck with you, to decide whether you want to shuffle the deck or not based on what she copies.
Copycat is a darkhawk card for sure
It’s been confirmed by developers that copycat DOESNT show yr opponent afaik

Channeling my energy to the channel as you requested! Btw I think the biggest downside is Arishem with all the random crap in the deck.
There is a reason she is in spotlight caches next to juggernauts.😂❤

@@cloudd6535 It shuffles the entire deck. You can test this by playing Howard The Duck, and you will see the card will usually change.

I wonder if Copycat is shown if she steals red hulk ability
She would reveal the first time your opponent has unspent energy.
@@rezsnapper Ye I expect Copycat art being shown but maybe they didn't think of it and we see base Rulk with 5->8 power animation.
@@ThePainman88 I imagine if you Iron Lad - Red Hulk into Beast-ing it, it would just show Iron Lad. Would be a fun thing to mess w though
Im worried she’s going to be the next war machine. Super over hyped but in practice not actually that good.

Always gonna run copycat, mirage, cable as a trio.
Why mirage? It doesn't rip anything out or mess up your opponent
I love Mirage and Cable tbf.
@@TheGingerlie I really like having info on their deck very early
Agreed, I love Mirage. Would love if she got a little buff-either as a 1/1 or a 2/3.
I will reinstall the game to pull her and unistall it back. Just in case.
