UPDATE! I hadn't realised he'd been updated in yesterdays OTA and is now a 4/7. This is actually pretty great, I'm glad they're giving him a fighting chance.
Anti-Venom could be good with that niche but awesome deck where you Viper a Destroyer into the enemy side and destroying their things. This is good because if you hit Destroyer with the Anti-Venom, you can play him alongside Odin at the same turn. But that would have too many set-up for a particular combo, but Bynx is already having a success with the deck even without Anti-Venom so it could be an upgrade. Also, Anti-Venom could be key synergy to Misery and you will get another discounted card after you draw the other one.
Super interested in getting Supergiant so I've been thinking a lot about Anti-Venom as well and I fully agree with you. The fact that Iron Lad effectively gets you a "free ability" and the opportunuty to get it twice vs Anti-Venom which just makes it free makes Iron Lad seems 10x better
I understand what you're saying but I certainly disagree. They're different cards, doing different things. Yeah, you can reach a similar end result, but there's lots of cards that do that. It's more exciting to ponder on the unique opportunities that AV presents, especially if the other card Iron Lad does a better job in other decks.
@LFanimes333 um what if the effect you want is a combo that you want to effect a certain card? If AV effects an Arnim Zola maybe you build up a bigger knull on turn 5 before you hit it on turn 6
Honestly anti venom is the most skip able card this season. Sure we can use cage or even sk to fix the 0 power. The biggest problem with him is you can't predict what card will be affected... I guess unless you use the duck.
I only think Luke Cage or SK are good in this scenario if they fit in with your wider plan. I nearly included Cage in the ongoing deck, but I'd rather play better and more powerful Ongoing cards that could be 'Avved'.
@@VinsmokeSanji- because they're completely different cards. Jubilee summons a card to the field and iron lad copies a ability. Anti venom technically needs another card to truly be useful. On top of that jubilee is a series 3 and iron lad has been in multiple times in catches.
I think it is being underestimated but I still agree it's skippable. The first card I've skipped in a couple months. Honestly it might be an auto included card in Mr. Negative, so it will be a pick up for people who love that deck.
If your opponent has Mobius, you are still getting non-symetrical card draw (as in, you draw, but your opponent doesn’t), which is very rare in Snap. Thinking about how Crystal is still ran, I’d say it’s still advantage. However, 4/6 is bad for tempo, and your deck is probably built around getting a 0/0, so the tempo loss will usually hurt more than card advantage will help. By the way, whenever they release the (Win X matches with Anti-Venom, a lot of people are going to have a bad time. It’s not necessarily a bad card, but it’s very niche). Having more cards means being more likely to combo off, but having iron man and knull on turn 6, with neither of them being discounted, would be the worst.
I think I need to pass on this one. I am tokens poor and I need keys for next month. I don't have Red Guardian, Thena, Annihilus, or Legion, and I believe, perhaps erroneously, that I will get more benefit from Frigga, Fenris Wolf, and Gorr than I will from Anti-Venom
The biggest downside of AntiVenom is that he’s a dead card if drawn on Turn 6. I don’t think he’ll be a strong card this season, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they eventually buff him to 4/7. However, he could be the best synergy partner for Frigga-the first spotlight card next season. With AntiVenom on Turn 4 and a 0-cost card drawn, followed by Frigga on Turn 5, you’d have another 0-cost card ready for Turn 6. This might be a powerful new combo, and I’m looking forward to it.
To be fair, there are plenty of cards that are a dead draw on the final turn (you're not wrong though) but if that happens it typically won't be relevant, as you'll almost always including 6-drops in the deck with him.
I think this is the first card I'm going to skip in the last two seasons. It clearly has a place on a Mr negative deck where it may be an auto include. Ive got a custom card rework that ill share, Groot: ongoing, gives all gotg cards in play "we are groot" (+1 power for each other gotg) 6 cost, 1 power.

I just can't help but feel it is the worse version of Iron Lad

I think there’s almost zero situations in which Iron Lad isn’t a straight up better addition to your deck.

That’s so ridiculously specific.
At this point, just use Negative.
This is an easy skip week if you are low on resources
Antivenom + grandmaster/misery should be a very good combo. Then play multiple zero cost in the last turn. Might be pretty good
That's a great point.

It’s time for Howard 😎
So if that is your problem then based on your logic why is lad and jubilee a good card if they are just like anti venom?

Thanks for the comment. I love your thoughts, just one thing though, Anti-Venom doesn't draw the card.
If I didn't already have Supergiant, I may have went for this

You’re 100% correct.
Even if Anti-Venom ends up being good, he will still end up being a significantly worse version of Iron Lad.

I think Anti-Venom will be a pretty good card, but i had to use 4 keys this week, and i need to have keys for upcoming weeks, I'll skip this.
I feel ya, the cookie crumbles this way sometimes.

Thank you!💜🩵
I could have been convinced that "midder" was British slang
I've changed my mind actually, it is.
what if anti-venom was you're dad?
You've just envisioned a hilarious new sitcom coming to CBS, "Misery Loves Company"
Also...it's a 4/7 now so even better than we originally thought
Oh my days, I didn't realise this!!!! Thank you.
Instead of making him 4/7, they should've make him also draw the card he made 0/0
TBF I think that would be insanely strong.
why put a 4/7 on the thumbnail??? need views or what
It's changed to 4/7, I only found out after uploading. There's a pinned comment, but I'm sorry for the confusion - I don't have a chance to re-upload.
