Ajax has been changed to 5/7 since I made this video, which obviously makes him much better. I'm still concerned about the viability, and it makes the disparity between the Ajax and Mystique combo even larger. But he's alright. Not convinced he's GREAT though.
You spread misinformation by claiming that Luke Cage doesn't turn off Evolved Abomination's discount. I know that you're just repeating other people's claims, but this video is your responsibility, and you repeated the claims without doing any critical thinking. Look at the screenshots that you included that show Abomination keeping his discount even after Shadow King resets the enemy cards' Powers. Is there a Luke Cage on the board? No, just Shadow King. Therefore how Shadow King works must be different from how Luke Cage works. This is how Shadow King works: as an On Reveal effect, it calculates the difference between the current permanent Power on a card and the card's base Power and then applies that difference as a permanent Power modifier. So it's not actually "resetting" (by which we mean removing the previous modifiers); it's just adding one more modifier to the chain of existing modifiers. This is how Luke Cage works: as an Ongoing effect, it tells the game's logic engine to disregard (not permanently remove) all permanent Power modifiers that are below zero on its side of the board. This is how Luke Cage can "undo" Shadow King's effect as well as retroactively "undo" all afflictions. This is how Ajax and Evolved Abomination work: they look through every card's chain of modifiers and see if there are any active negative modifiers. Luke Cage means that there are no active negative modifiers. Shadow King means that not only are those negative modifiers active, but Shadow King himself could count as a negative modifier in some circumstances. So not only is Shadow King NOT an Ajax counter, but he could also be an Ajax enabler sometimes!
Funny enough, I did thought about the possibility of Ajax counting afflicted cards even if there's a Luke Cage on board, and I got lectured about it by a rude person who said quite the opposite you've said (that Abomination won't count it and its reduction cost will be reseted). Now I don't know anymore!
That person wasn't being rude. They were being brutally honest. Luke Cage takes Power away from Ajax. That's a fact. Sorry if you can't handle the truth. This video contains misleading or wrong information about the interaction between Luke Cage and Evolved Abomination.
Assuming the Luke Cage interaction to be similar to Abomination where Ajax still gets powered up by your opponent’s cards, wouldn’t he have that same effect with Luke Cage on your side? Ajax gets buffed by any afflicted card, so even if you and the opponent both run Luke Cage wouldn’t he still have the power (again assuming it’s similar to Abomination)
CL3983 here got 8 keys on hand and still missing nebula and galactus and the whole of ajax week, however i was keeping for copy cat week, hope summers which is probably getting nico instead of cassandra, and loki week. should i maybe get a key in for either nebula or galactus or try to get DH? Or none at all? I got 10.9k tokens which i plan to use for mockingbird btw. Would really appreciate help y'all.
I think I'd say save for Copycat week which is unreal and Hope is filth too, then hopefully that puts you in good standing too for future cards with some awesome ones in the next few months (Marvel Boy, all of Spidey season).
Hydra Bob been ton of fun wasnt a great month maybe copycat pending how she plays but Bob might be better in Deadpool’s Diner 🌮 either way happy I passed on Arishem (still sick of playing against it almost every match) for Hydra Bob 😎
I don't see this card being very good. It's a cool new idea for a card but there is just too much set up for such a weak effect in the end, when there are so many cards that are so much stronger. Imo they should have left it as 4 cost or make it something like 5/3, gain +2 for each afflicted card.

I think Ajax has the potential to be like Darkhawk.
In addition, it is more flexible than Darkhawk in terms of deck construction.

Enchantress is the biggest counter. Whoever dosnt have their Luke cage activated loses.
