    Thanks for dumming things down to the basics! Sometimes after a while we try things that take us away from just making a lure, by complicating designs and body styles. Thanks also for the free certificate! I’m also doing printing one for a buddy!

    I started to watch this video and thought to myself, yes I could do that too if I had those tools, but I have to sit with a piece of wood and a sharp knife and whittle away at it until I have my shape, then sand it down with a piece of sandpaper, then you can truly say you made it yourself.

    Great video! I particularly like your lure turning jig. Would that concept work for bigger plugs in the 7-9" range? And would it be possible for you to explain explain and give more detail for your lure dryer? Thanks

      I can’t remember how much I used on this lure. Every lure is going to be a little different. Type of wood and size of your lure makes a big difference too

    i just started luremaking made a mepps and a popper wanna make something with a lip and saw this what sizes do i use? its not said in the video like what is the length

      That’s a good question I’ll have to measure that one later when I get home but from what I can remember it was probably about an inch

    What best wood for making lures?

      Balsa is really good. Also I’ve heard Tupelo is good but I haven’t used that before.

    what kind of pliers are you using?

      I think your referring to the wire bending pliers, not sure what they are called. Just some cheap wire bending pliers from Walmart

      Yeah I definitely need to order my thin superglue I normally use. This southern humidity is killer. If I wasn’t so busy I probably would have hung in there and fished longer though.

      I don’t remember what bit your referring too I’ll have to look back through the video. If your talking about the one I used for the eyes, they are called forstner bits.

      Yes. Mostly it’s important to try and match your paint to whatever the fish are eating in your area. More colorful stuff is just being “artsy”
