Thanks for dumming things down to the basics! Sometimes after a while we try things that take us away from just making a lure, by complicating designs and body styles. Thanks also for the free certificate! I’m also doing printing one for a buddy! Keep up the great work and vids man! 🎣👍🏻🇨🇦
Yes. It’s just a protective measure to make sure the wood stays safe and dry. Usually I top coat my lures with epoxy but any small hole or crack could cause water to soak in.
Great video! I particularly like your lure turning jig. Would that concept work for bigger plugs in the 7-9" range? And would it be possible for you to explain explain and give more detail for your lure dryer? Thanks
Yeah.... Thought i missed it... Nice job brother... Hell they talked about global warming... Here we get nuclear winter... It was 10°C this morning... Roughly 50°F in your terms... Glad to see you didn't loose this one...
I’m sorry I don’t have a file for it. Just be creative and sketch it out the best you can. 👍🏼 you’d be surprised what you’re capable of when just winging it.
Un excelente trabajo campion muy bonito señuelo Felicidades por el certificado de maestro del sebo gracias por compartir tus vídeos saludos y bendiciones
Thank you. The certificate was a joke i made that myself just to be funny. lol Gracias. El certificado fue una broma que hice yo solo para ser divertido. lol
I can’t remember how much I used on this lure. Every lure is going to be a little different. Type of wood and size of your lure makes a big difference too
i just started luremaking made a mepps and a popper wanna make something with a lip and saw this what sizes do i use? its not said in the video like what is the length
@@TreysArt thanks for the tutorial sorry i just now saw the comment but i guessed it was about one one and a half inch and caught some crazy pike this season thank u
Usually input just enough to where it will still float. If it starts sinking then it’s too much. If you’re going for a floating Crankbait that is. Every lure is a little different. It really depends on what type of action you’re going for.
I started to watch this video and thought to myself, yes I could do that too if I had those tools, but I have to sit with a piece of wood and a sharp knife and whittle away at it until I have my shape, then sand it down with a piece of sandpaper, then you can truly say you made it yourself.
I don’t remember what bit your referring too I’ll have to look back through the video. If your talking about the one I used for the eyes, they are called forstner bits.
Yeah I definitely need to order my thin superglue I normally use. This southern humidity is killer. If I wasn’t so busy I probably would have hung in there and fished longer though.
Your a True Craftsman. There is no better feeling , when you ketch a fish on a homemade lure
Thank you
This video inspired me to make my first bait. Thanks
That’s awesome!!! I’m so glad to hear that 😁
OMG!!! 🤣 The certificate is awesome. Can't wait to put one in my shop. Another great video!
Glad you like it 👍🏼

Amazing thanks you master from🇲🇾
Awesome stuff mate. Thanks! 🍻
Thank you for this outstanding video! Why do you seal the wood then use paint over it?
Sealing the wood keep water from soaking into it
@@TreysArt thanks but why do the seal first then paint over that is it so it can’t soak through the paint from inside out?
Yes. It’s just a protective measure to make sure the wood stays safe and dry. Usually I top coat my lures with epoxy but any small hole or crack could cause water to soak in.
Amazing minow finishing all by handmade, Stunning ❤!!! I hope i could make same like it😊👍 good job wish you all the best
Stunning craftsmanship 👌🤙

I’ll probably actually make a new one and do a video making it
Nice lure, really nice action too. Downloaded the certificate, will go up in the shed lol
Trey this video is awesome can you upload a template i can print as a stencil?
I will try to remember and make one and upload it
Simple, but a fish catcher for sure
Wow that lure came out awesome! Good job on making it man🎣👍. Tight Linez!
Extremely good action. Nice job

Haha yeah easy to keep them when you don’t fish them lol
Man you made a great lure brother! Great job🎣👍
Thank you
Very good video.
Thank you
It is not going to get cool til November. Nice lure. You should build up a casting rod sometime.
Beautiful lure. Am I able to download the stencil?
I’m sorry I don’t have a file for it. Just be creative and sketch it out the best you can. 👍🏼 you’d be surprised what you’re capable of when just winging it.
@TreysArt ok I'll give it a go. Thank you

awesome
hey hey man top the lure what angle the flap?? and if not what is planned for the rest of a craw?🤔
The lip is at roughly a 45 degree angle
@@TreysArt merci 😊
What best wood for making lures?
Balsa is really good. Also I’ve heard Tupelo is good but I haven’t used that before.
Show de bola esta isca artificial artesanal.
what kind of pliers are you using?
I think your referring to the wire bending pliers, not sure what they are called. Just some cheap wire bending pliers from Walmart
how many grams of front and rear weights
I can’t remember how much I used on this lure. Every lure is going to be a little different. Type of wood and size of your lure makes a big difference too
i just started luremaking made a mepps and a popper wanna make something with a lip and saw this what sizes do i use? its not said in the video like what is the length
That’s a good question I’ll have to measure that one later when I get home but from what I can remember it was probably about an inch
@@TreysArt thanks for the tutorial sorry i just now saw the comment but i guessed it was about one one and a half inch and caught some crazy pike this season thank u
That’s awesome to hear 🙏 more to come!
Respect
How do you know how much wait needs to be added
I’ve done it so much I can get pretty close by guessing but to be accurate you’ll need to test different weights to see what works best
@@TreysArt ye but how heavy does it need to be. I saw you testing them all out but how did you know how much weight is enough
Usually input just enough to where it will still float. If it starts sinking then it’s too much. If you’re going for a floating Crankbait that is. Every lure is a little different. It really depends on what type of action you’re going for.
@@TreysArt aight thanks
is the color important ?
Yes. Mostly it’s important to try and match your paint to whatever the fish are eating in your area. More colorful stuff is just being “artsy”
buenisimo

Yes is a labor of love but I enjoy it.
The name of those pliers please?
Wire bending or looping pliers
Certificate 😂
killer lure
Can I get a print of this?
Sorry man I don’t have any templates that I go off of with these.
Great tutorial man! And another beautiful lure!
BTW, The Certificate link didn't work for me.
Ok let me check it out. I thought I had it figured out 🤦🏻♂️
Try the link again and let me know if it works now
@@TreysArt Thanks dude, you got it fixed.
And the type of bit you're using?
I don’t remember what bit your referring too I’ll have to look back through the video. If your talking about the one I used for the eyes, they are called forstner bits.
I will not use that lure for fishing.. it's too precious.. i will make it as display in my living room.. btw very good craftsmanship.. 🎉
¿Que madera ultiliza?
Poplar
On your other channel, it says you’re a former tattoo artist… What made you decide to quit that to make videos?
Well I didn’t quit to make videos lol. I just make videos for fun. As a career it just wasn’t consistent enough work for me.
You're really good in MASTER BAITING....😂 I SEE your Certificate
Thank you I take master baiting very seriously!
Great tutorial except the whole Gorilla Glue issue. Oops! I appreciate that you went out in 91°F Southern Humidity to show us an action vid
Yeah I definitely need to order my thin superglue I normally use. This southern humidity is killer. If I wasn’t so busy I probably would have hung in there and fished longer though.
Hi
Hi

I thought this was a gar channel. 🤣
🤣 sorry it was too hot for me to stick around and catch all the gar in this video. I’m sure I will on the next one lol
