Fishing for me is a way of life and with a background in art it was only natural that I become a bait maker. I hardly ever make the same paint design twice and I’m always experimenting trying to come up with content you might enjoy.
Riverbank Lure Build with Cool New Tool
I found this awesome device on Amazon, it’s a portable cordless airbrush kit. So I decided to go on a riverbank lure build to try it out and I must say I’m quite impressed and definitely going to be using it more often.

Did that plexiglass help with hydrodynamics making it move more like a fish? Trying to figure out what purpose it served. Came out great!
Yes it basically interferes with the flow of water causing the lure to have a side to side swim as it moves through the water.

it's a really good idea because creating a simple rotating spinner so that it spins and also that it spins even if it is pulled slowly is definitely not easy.

I think as bait makers, we're harder on ourselves than the fish are. Think about lures such as the classic Five of Diamonds. No matter where I fish in North America, that's one of my most productive baits. And it doesn't look one bit like a fish!
