After watching this video, I ended up going to the store at mid night, and made our first quiche.. thanks it was amazing.
That trip was definitely worth it, Brad! So happy you enjoyed this recipe. Thank you for letting us know :)
Me too
Now that's commitment. Love it!
@Solomon Donovan that's not a tip, it's spam, and you're both bots. Knock it off.
Munchies? 🤔😁
Made this last night
Used heavy cream because it's what I had in frig. It was so good husband looked at me and asked, *Did you make this?" Thanks Clark
Thank you for your question! Yes, you can use milk instead of half and half in this recipe - the texture and flavor won't be as rich or creamy, but will be still delicious. We'd recommend using whole milk. Enjoy!
@@maiamartini9095 pie crust has very few ingredients, but it can be a little tricky to make. I over-mixed my pie pastry and the pie crust ended up tasting like shortbread lol...its mostly flour and butter, but takes some effort to fold it to make it flakey
My heart stopped just watching you put all that cheese in there... wow!!
That bottom did look a bit soggy. A good tip is to brush egg white on cold pastry before putting the topping on, trust me it works and saves unnecessary blind baking on a quiche
Thanks for the tip
....I had a problem in soggy bottom for pastry eversince
Nice share!
Thank you.
Now.mucb degrees should I put my oven ??
I find putting bread crumbs on the bottom of a crust prevents a soggy bottom!
I made this last night and it was awesome! My first quiche. I cut recipe in half for 1 pie. I did pre bake my pie crust for 10 min. I also brushed it with egg. I omitted extra salt and added a partial pack of ranch powder to the spinach mixture. I also used heavy cream instead of half and half. It set up firm and wasn't mushy.
how much heavy cream u put in for half of the recipe?thanks
Good ideas
I like the ranch idea
Thank you for your question. You can certainly use two cups of your favorite meat instead of ham in this recipe. Try roasted chicken, Italian sausage, ground beef or ground turkey. Enjoy!
To keep the crust from getting soggy just spread 1/4 cup of shredded cheese of your choice onto the bottom of the crust and then just pour your keash mixture over the cheese, I use the Colby jack shredded mixture in bag in my keash mixture also.
I’m going to try it your way. I hate soggy crust!
To avoid the bottom getting soggy, I usually blind bake the the crust so that way it can be crispy.
Great suggestion Peter!
What is blind bake? Ty
@@saraleclerc2455 It's not my mother tongue, but I guess it means prebaking the botton/dough/whatever and add filling/topping later and then finish baking.
@@allrecipes really, a very nice & genuine feedback.
Sure can! Purchased crust will work just fine for this recipe. Be sure to follow the package directions for baking instructions.
Just made a quiche yesterday using Trader Joe’s Harvest Hash as my filling. It has sweet potatoes, butternut squash, onions, and herbs that made a lovely filling once I sautéed it.
I see the wisdom of adding the egg mixture as a seperate step, thank you.
Sure can! We'd recommend cooking the vegetables in oil first and cooling to room temperature before adding to the quiche. Enjoy!
This recipe was fantastic! My friend whipped up some crusts and I took care of the rest. Of course, we live in New Orleans so I replaced the ham and bacon with a couple pounds' worth of crawfish - it was delicious! Thanks for the video, this is a new favorite!
Thank you for your question, Zoe. You can certainly leave out the ham and bacon. Instead, add your favorite vegetables - sauteed mushrooms, bell peppers, or even diced baked potatoes. Enjoy
Or sausage
Hi Samantha, thanks for your question! This recipe calls for two 9" unbaked pie crusts. You can check out our site for basic pie crust recipes or purchase a prepared dough. Let us know how it turns out for you :)
BEST QUICHE EVER!!!! 😊 THANK YOU!
this recipe cost around 40 bucks to buy all the ingredients to make!
thanks clark !!!!!!
I already have all the ingredients in my stocked fridge, these ingredients are all just basic ingredients that most who do cook regularly, would already have. The veggies, meats, eggs, half and half, cheeses are all basic ingredients, IF you cook at home regularly. If your fridge is bare, yes it would cost about that to buy all this at once. I also make my own pie crust, no reason to not, basic ingredients to always have in the kitchen, fast and easy to make: 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/2 cup stick butter, cold and diced, 1/4 cup ice water. Combine flour, salt, cut in cold butter until it looks like coarse crumbs with a pastry cutter, stir in cold water a tablespoon at a time until it forms a ball, want it to look butter streaky. Wrap it in plastic, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight, let get room temperature and roll out with flour to fit a 9" pie pan, double ingredients for two pies or if want a top crust, Grandma taught me when I was a kid!
Unbelievable recipe! I cut the recipe in half and only made one pie, bad move on my part. Should have made both, the first one didn't last but an hour. Thanks for sharing.
WonderDean always make 2.. at least 2!
Thank you for your question. Half and half is a dairy product - a combination of cream and milk.
Let me just start off with this is a fabulous video!! Thank you so much @allrecipies I LOOOVEEEE cooking and I'm only 16. I've learns how to bake and cook all types of food thanks to you. You are my inspiration 😍😍

Sounds good!
Looks delicious! This will be my first quiche to ever make! I bet it will be amazing! Thank you! 🤤
Worked out well for me. I omitted most of the salt and precooked the pie crust.
Very Robust quickie recipe.
Great for a get together with family and friends.
Can’t eat this everyday but it’s definitely a treat.
My goodness! I am absolutely trying this for my hubby because quiche is one of his favs! Thanks!

Thank you for sharing your recipe! God bless you!
Tried this recipe today, and it was my first attempt at making a quiche...quite easy and tasty! Skipped a few things though. I left out the Parsley, by omission, I did buy some, just forgot to put it in. Also, read the tips on the "egg wash" of the unbaked pie crusts, and will try it next time. The bottom of my initial quiche was somewhat soggy as well. Thanks to all the responders sharing their experiences! :}
I wish I had a piece right now. I am grateful for this recipe!!!
My favorite quiche recipe, keeps me coming back.
This was delicious. I’m definitely adding this to my rotation. I cut the recipe in half. I forgot to season the eggs but I didn’t miss anything.
If you like broccoli, you can use that. Just make sure it's cut into very small pieces and that it's cooked well. I hope that helps you.
This looks delicious and I will make it today. Thank you.
Looks delicious! Can’t wait to try this! Yummy for the tummy!
Thanks. I'm making this now. Hope it turns out great.
Thank you been looking for a great recipe to make this and finally found it yesssss
Try this recipe my family loved it and your voice is oh my gosh I love it
Hi this is an excellent recipe. I made it and changed out a couple of the ingredients. It came out perfect! I did not follow her recommendations on the seasonings used a sprinkling of my special seasonings instead so mine was not salty just omit the salt or put in less. I also used cheddar blend of cheeses and used less about a 1/2 cup or so. Use your judgement you can't go wrong with this recipe. Thanks this one is a winner!
Not only is this recipe comfort, so is her voice and music. Making one of these for a friend who had knee replacement. Thanks!
love the illustration. I am making this!

This is so BOMB!!!! I had some this morning for breakfast too. People at work was like "ooo... What that? It look good" me being stingy I said "RUclips it" lol. Thanks a million Allrecipes*
Eaiser: Take out the bacon and dice and set aside. Put diced onions, mushrooms, and ham into the bacon fat and sauté. Then add bacon and spinach to heat. This wilts and cooks the spinach and retains flavor. Yes, it uses the bacon fat..9 ++++++++++ Another cook recommends using the bacon fat, a tablespoon, to grease the casserole dish.
Making this for my son and future daughter in - law tomorrow morn...cant wait!
I cooked this it tasted amazing
I made this a few months back and it was AMAZING. I'm back for the recipe so I can make it again this weekend. :)

Gonna give this a try
I like this recipe
Just made this. My god it's good. I did cut back on the cheese by about half though, and there still seemed to be plenty of it.
I use extra sweet cherry tomatoes and it's AMAZING.
I enjoyed this video and the comments by folks. I’m going to make this definitely in a ‘pre-baked pie crust’….ya know. Various alternatives sound easy also. Thks so much…..for this nicely presented video recipe!!! Ahna
Nice quiche. I might make it soon. By the way, where do you guys get your music? I'd like to listen to this acoustic song and others by the artist.
A bakery near around in CA...
sales a slice at $5.75 a piece...so similiar to this one shown.
I’m trying this soon!

Hi. Can the un-baked pie crusts be bought ready made? Thanks.
can you use a pre made pie crust? if so should i blind bake it
Yes, you may use a pre-made pie crust, Matt Milexan, and no, you don't need to blind bake it. If you do blind bake the crust, the edges will be over-baked and become too brown because the quiche bakes 40 minutes to set the filling. The other solution -- if you reallyy must blind-bake the crust -- is to cover the edges with foil or an edge protector so they can't burn.
I tried it and the problem I had is that the egg/milk mix sits on top rather than soaking throughout. I'm going to try adding the mix as I layer for a more consistent pie.
