I set up a pull up bar in my kitchen doorway and it has changed the game for me. I am NOT strong enough to do a full pull up but I have totally benefitted from hanging, swinging, and pulling up as far as I can on a regular basis (any time I'm waiting for my food in the microwave lol). My neck pain was CONSTANT but it's so much better now. Working those muscles and increasing movement is essential.

I'm a computer slumper. I've had recurring muscle knots between the spine and scapula on one side or the other for years that I would see my chiropractor about. He'd pop, pop, pop and open things up and it would resolve, but repeated slumping would bring it back. Untreated, it would travel upward, across the upper back, up the neck and even started to travel down my right arm. This simple shoulder blade squeeze and lift removed the knot and the trapezius on both sides feels more flexible. There's no pain traveling down to the elbow anymore. It's empowering to have a move that heals in my toolbox. Your channel showed up in my suggestions and feels like a blessing meant for me. Thank you for the work you put in here!

Wow, I’m gonna try this. Nothing else I’ve tried has helped my neck pain so what have I got to lose? It’s counter to everything I’ve ever learned but everything I’ve ever learned isn’t helping so let’s give it a shot.

My shoulders were stuck up and I didn’t even realize it. I had to relax them before I could do the simple up and down. Thank you.

I'm going to start practicing this as I have chronic knots in my neck, shoulders, and upper back, so much so that it pulls my spine out of alignment. My insurance covers chiropractic care, but not the massage therapist I've been seeing lately for the problem. If this works (and I see the logic in it so it should), I'm going to send to YOU the $40 I would have given the therapist! Btw, subbed!

Eureka! I've been doing this for not quite a week, and my shoulders are already massively better! I'll move on to dumbbells now. I'm sending you the massage money as promised. Thank you for giving us viewers the tools we need to help ourselves!

Is it bad to stay with the same weight for those shoulder shrug exercises?
I dont wanna build big muscles around there, just want activation
Also do i have to tuck my chin like many ppl say? It makes the exercises veeery uncomfortable for me

Also a great idea. Unfortunately that won't address the atrophy that's been worsening for years!

@@Uprighthealth if people have severe atrophy they'd be contacting a chiropractor, scheduling a massage, or seeing their medical practitioner or whatever if they were fortunate enough not to be called a genocidal maniac for not getting jabbed.
