you know it was honestly the intros just like this that got me to start watching John in the first place. Though I miss them, the overall quality of videos has improved greatly.
Bruh, that lock picking mini game to open the crates is like the Wheel of Fortune arcade game! It's pretty great, you just hit the blue light and you win! Pretty easy to rake in 1500 tickets for that cool telescope at the prize shop.
He may have very mild colourblindness. Not long after Undertale came out, there was a patch for it, because several people (including Jacksepticeye) complained that they often couldn't tell the difference between light-blue objects and pure-white objects in the hitbox during battles. (The light blue object required you to stand still to avoid damage, while white objects had to be dodged or in some way changed or destroyed to keep from being hurt.) The blue was kept fairly light in hue but was dropped several shades to be more visible. It ended up making the game much easier for a lot of people. This game is almost entirely blue-hued, so the puzzle really should've picked a different colour for the release button so it's easier to see. Even for a non-colourblind person, blue-on-blue can be very hard to see, even if the blues are of completely different hues (ex. green-based blue versus purple-based blue versus gray-based blue, etc.). That's my guess, anyway! /shrug
It's so frustrating how he comes across as fairly smart for a youtube gamer, then is as thick as two planks about certain things. If he's colourblind, then fine, but this has been the case for a whole raft of basic comprehension stuff. I'd rather have a video with moments of silence, than filling every second with verbal diarrhoea that makes you seem incapable of basic thought. I'm not just having a go at John, though, it applies to every LPer I've watched.
Oh my goodness, man that intro surprised me in the best way, you've got a wonderful sense of humor while you deal with these awful cheap games, keep it up man!
Kinda hilarious how Case 8 managed to do the PT looping hallway seamlessly but games entirely dedicated to being PT clones made the screen fade to black or cut out to do the loop.
Whenever I get back to this playthrough, I can't get over how you perfectly time the "click at the right time" minigames on the third or fourth click, at pure random.
your special intro was well worth the effort! do have to say seems like that digging note answered your question of how the prisoner knew what devices were - prisoners were used as labor - but sitting right by the dynamite...okay....
So, you chop the right hand of the security guard to use it on a left-hand scanner... Hmm, maybe it reads something from the back of the hand instead of the FRIGGING FINGERPRINTS!?
That intro was godlike; I fucking loved it. You really made some good fun with it, was great. I actually quite enjoyed this one but I can see what you mean about it being eh, it didn't look that great. Some good moments but I wasn't as impressed as I wanted to be. Thanks for doin' it for us.
That circle puzzle, I believe you had to stop it on the one that flashes blue. Each time it went around, one of them went blue. Whenever you stopped it on/near it, it opened.
Whelp. That was good. haha I mean, it wasn't too bad, but it felt a lot more like a puzzle game than a horror game. The laser "puzzle" is really boring too. Pressing a button over and over to turn a laser in the right direction is not compelling gameplay.
I had a feeling when you tweeted about making an intro, it was about the file opening woes you had. And you didn't disappoint! Sadly, I thought this game wasn't too bad. The puzzles were a bit bland, but there have been far worse games out there. Definitely felt that P.T. vibe as soon as you opened the door and we saw the hall.
***** I've had many piercings, some done more than once after having them close up. The eyebrow is as he said.. It pinches but it's really not bad. Pulls easily, though so.. be careful =)
Your bad game playthroughs can be just as entertaining as the others. I await the times you bust out in insane laughter at the atrocities of hilarious horrible ones.
*OH NO, THE BATHROOM DOOR HAS GONE MAD!* I know loops had been done before PT, but it was masterful in its use of them, and now we have a wave of pretenders. All this cribbage is starting to wear on me. Loops are boring when the developer has no clue how to build tension and just throws them in for the sake of it. Love the massively hyperbolic scare chords, though. I am also pleased that in the future computers are so cheap that everything has its own terminal. From laser spinning functions to separate security cameras. (Loved the Critective bit. I know it was specific to this playthrough, with the game initially not working and all, but I'd still love to see more.)
"Locked up tighter than the doors in a silent hill game" Love it
And that's when it hit me, steam. There was nothing in my pipe.
haha
Josh Perez, that was an interesting story you told there.
"Critective".
God damnit, John.
*Barb
Something devs should always ask themselves regarding jump scares: Would this be at all scary/startling without the musical cue?
Maybe they did, and decided to make the musical cue much more dramatic then it needed to be, which they certainly did.
That intro was literally amazing.
I think the start was supposed to be like that, since it is a puzzler horror and so your first puzzle was to open the game...
You need to do those kind of intros more often. It's awesome! :D
Check out this "John Wolfe" dude... he looks just like HarshlyCritical, same quality content plus the awesome intros you requested a year ago! =D
i burst out laughing at the death by Master Hand via gently tapping the protagonist
22:30: ...Did the protagonist just die by being patted on the head by a large hand?
The protagonist has a severe case of haphephobia
+Rich Walk Yaoi hands are too strong
It must be Master Hand.
Uh, wallmasters are terrifying
I'd die too
A divine "I like ya cut g"
The scariest thing about the PT sequence was the choice in wallpaper.
@ 17:00 we see the critective contemplate the decision of using an adult skeleton as a thumbnail.
you know it was honestly the intros just like this that got me to start watching John in the first place. Though I miss them, the overall quality of videos has improved greatly.
Detective John should be a thing!! loved the intro!
and great video as always :)
Bruh, that lock picking mini game to open the crates is like the Wheel of Fortune arcade game! It's pretty great, you just hit the blue light and you win! Pretty easy to rake in 1500 tickets for that cool telescope at the prize shop.
Sweet jesus that intro was GOLD!
Case #8 eventually became PT just minus the scares...or the graphics...and the fun. Great let's play John. ^_^
Does John seriously not see the blue box that pops up during the puzzle?
This bugged me so much, idk why lol.
Same!

i was like "...he can't be that stupid.. right..?" but if he's just colorblind that makes more sense lol
It's so frustrating how he comes across as fairly smart for a youtube gamer, then is as thick as two planks about certain things. it REALLY intrigues me how immune to jumpscares John is. it really does.
It makes when he actually does gets jumpscared more effective.
I'm glad Master Hand is still finding work.
This video deserves a 'Like' and 'Favorite' just for that intro.
My day just started and it's already been made. Thank you John.
Case #8 - Everyone is lying. Doubt everyone. They're all guilty. Sterling work, John. Upgraded to traffic cop.
Played video and began uncontrollably giggling.
Really loved the intro of the video. Very creative and funny John! :D
best intro 2K16
Lol as always John, whenever you play a crappy horror game, you make me laugh. You definitely deserve more subs, keep up the great work
"Another case closed, another day closer to death." Christ, you sound exactly like my grandfather XD
Whenever I get back to this playthrough, I can't get over how you perfectly time the "click at the right time" minigames on the third or fourth click, at pure random.
That opening was amazing, I loved it John!
"Critective"
GOD FUCKING DAMMIT BARB!
+Andrew Rogers Not a big enough thumbs up for this comment.
+GothGirlGamer Thank you.
8:01 He lives in a world where all the doors are opened with touchpads, he doesn't know how to open it.
Intro was my life. I am gonna talk like a grimy old time detective tomorrow to annoy my friends and I love your piercings, John.
Even crappy horror games still manage to scare me easily, I envy you John
You're the best, John. You just keep getting better and better to watch.
That opening was awesome hahaha! This total made my day!
Great Intro, John!
your special intro was well worth the effort!

Critective, I love it! Also, really great intro; loved that, too.
30 seconds in and it's already in my favourites playlist.
Omg that opening, John you are so cute! XD
That intro was godlike; I fucking loved it. You really made some good fun with it, was great.
I actually quite enjoyed this one but I can see what you mean about it being eh, it didn't look that great. Some good moments but I wasn't as impressed as I wanted to be. Thanks for doin' it for us.
Love the opening, John. Classy!
I love absolutely everything about this!
lol the Long Arm of Justice.
wow I love the noire P.I intro that really made me smile n_n props to you for it
and that's when it hit me: no white day today. :[
+Brandon Bevill Sure, look for something to complain about.
+HarshlyCritical
rawrawrawr.... I just need my Korean ghost fix, dun judge me
+Brandon Bevill Bruh you can watch his older "White Day" playlist in case you're in need of serious White Day fix :P
Amrithril Tinuviel I need the new ghosts, not the old ghosts lol.
Then Imma have to judge you mann for just not being patient enough ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
From the steam description, I thought this was going to be some kind of extreme-discount Escape from Furnace. No such luck. Awesome intro, though!
Loved the intro! Awesome video John!
That circle puzzle, I believe you had to stop it on the one that flashes blue. Each time it went around, one of them went blue. Whenever you stopped it on/near it, it opened.
Always take pills you find by the TOILET!
And that's why I love horror games.
digging the mini skit in the intro. nice to see you trying something new!
I read mini skirt at first 😂
That intro was the best intro.
Have to admit though, the closing door got me pretty well.
I loved the intro, brilliant. :D
The greatest intro in Johns career!
Absolutely brilliant intro. Thanks for that.
The intro was perfection and fun😊
4:55. Oh, dear John, you hit the little blue button, silly.
I'snt the sound at 22:33 the same one for a jump scare in another game you played??
I really enjoyed Critectiv Johns intro - more of stuff like that please
"Locked up tighter than a door in a Silent Hill game"
I hope you didn't copyright that, cause i'm gonna be using it from now on.
I’m loving these intros!
The intro was infinitely better than this game could ever be.
10/10 intro
Whelp. That was good. haha
I mean, it wasn't too bad, but it felt a lot more like a puzzle game than a horror game.
The laser "puzzle" is really boring too. Pressing a button over and over to turn a laser in the right direction is not compelling gameplay.

At least it was proofread and the english wasn't atrocious? Babysteps...
the time on the clock was 14:08. I wonder if that's a reference to Stephen King's 1408
LOL, Loved the intro. Is that a pipe vape?
+10Bananas OFFICIAL It's a real pipe
+HarshlyCritical
...
Classy.
a pipe vase sounds awesome tbh.
tbh is officially my favorite abbreviation, tbh.
+HarshlyCritical That's legitimately pretty sick.
That intro is a masterpiece.
Hm. And now i'm wondering, John, if you've had those piercings in your eyebrow the whole time. Am i crazy or are those new?
I thought the same thing lol
+GothGirlGamer Got them last night! I've had my eyebrow pierced twice before but they closed up when I took it out.
+pikaplup2 Eyebrows pinch a little harder than other places, but I've never thought it was that bad. I guess it depends on what experience you have
Oh thank god. I thought I was going crazy
***** I've had many piercings, some done more than once after having them close up. The eyebrow is as he said.. It pinches but it's really not bad. Pulls easily, though so.. be careful =)
Absolutelely perfect video! keep up the amazing work
that might be the best intro for a let's play video
I don't care what anyone says, that intro deserves a like.
Lovin' the new eyebrow piercings! Makes me miss mine D:
Loool my fav intro ever, hilarious. Thanks, John.
And that's when it hit me; the gameplay was the best part of this video
23:25 i laughed way too much for that one
Yes! Everything about that intro was a huge YES!
Great way to start a video! That intro was amazing.
Darn you steam horror games.
This whole video was amazing.
Best intro I've ever seen.
that 'timing circle' thing in the beginning looked like you were supposed to stop it on the 'blue' block
also this game seems fine to me for $4
That intro, I loved it.
That dancing avocado at the micriscope jaja
Love the opening!! Haha.. Great job
I love the opening to this video!
On the loading screen puzzle, there was a little blue dot that you would press on to open the boxes.
That intro is amazing.
Your bad game playthroughs can be just as entertaining as the others. I await the times you bust out in insane laughter at the atrocities of hilarious horrible ones.
That intro just made me 100% more invested in this game.
It's not a good sign when the first "sentence" is Near future.
Good writing, John!
What an amazing intro.
*OH NO, THE BATHROOM DOOR HAS GONE MAD!*

(Loved the Critective bit. I know it was specific to this playthrough, with the game initially not working and all, but I'd still love to see more.)
Lol loved the intro. And those double eyebrow piercings!
Love your intro dude!
Omg that intro killed me. How are you so awesome?
