The very first thing i did was slap a fusion in mine. The very next thing I did was retrieve the dremel 😂😭 As soon as you pulled out the fusion I knew what was about to happen
Its a little late for us, but someone shared you can swap the motor plate spacers from 12mm to 9mm and it pulls the motor back enough to clear... It does work, lol. But, if it fits it fits!
Brushless, leaf under, and stealth battery relocation are my favorite mods for the TF2. I don't know that it helps the truck look more stock, but it improves its capability immensely.
My first leaf truck! I'm following along and doing all of your tweaks. RC Review said the fusion wouldn't fit. Haha. I knew who I could count on!!! My yoter arrived yesterday. Can't wait to dig in. Thanks!
I really love the direction you went with this one. At the same time, if I were to get one, I’d probably end up lifting it and putting the MT Baja TAs under it. The body is phenomenal!
You have a knack for making everything you touch much better! lol. Looking super good sitting low. Loving the red livery. Can't wait to see the next installment.
Well, for one, bfg's were never stock. You will need a complete different set of tires. I think the full wheel well with upgrade tires is exactly how it should look. If you really want stock, find some steel wheels and street tire "skinnies". Good luck and keep up the good work
I really love what you're doing with this thing! Man it's looking gorgeous! Yo just a little helpful note for your future videos. It was a bit tough reading the white captions. Maybe try red or yellow. Or even fluorescent green and then it would basically never blend with any background. 😎🤙🏽
Mannn... If only RC4WD would come out with a vintage tire... CO-OP GRIP SPUR. Or, the ol skool Buckshot Wide Mudders. Those would be tiddies on this rig.
You've done mint making it look more scale, RC4WD should give you some 💵💵 as a consultant's fee.😉 For scale wheels, looking a period machines like on the Toyota Hilux 4WD 1979 Sales Brochure. I'd say some 6 lug LR steels with Boom Racing Mileage Classic( BRTR19006), Landy Classic (BRTR19014) and SP Road Tracker (BRTR19005) tyres would pretty scale.👌🏻
I don’t understand the leaf under axle , it just looks weird to me and not like the 82 Toyota did. I wonder why Rc4wd will not just make a scale truck with the leafs correct and get the ride height normal. I would think a link rig would be better than the leaf under axle. I might buy the blue/white one , but I’ll be going big on mine and not down . Nice video bro!
I would just get the regular noble. The pro is just a little bit faster latency for like racing. But for crawlers the regular one is perfect. I love mine works great.
I havent tried them. Most folks with them are doing more serious comp style builds. I’m not a huge fan of the red leafs, set I had were so soft the eyelets opened up. The newer rtr leaf are softer than the previous years stock leafs and I haven’t seen a need to replace them.
@@RCeveryday allright thanks! i have the old chassis i think i have to swap the axles to go leaf under axle. mine stands a bit too high. i did a lot if stuff to it to get better performance. one thing i did was turning the front leaf suspensiin so the moving shackle in the front is now on the back if the leaf. that was one if the things that made a bug difference. when you compress the suspension, on the original setup the front axle wants to go forward a bit, when turned around it goes smoother over obstacles because the axle doesn‘t press against it. love your channel! might order a hot rod kit for a winter project
I’m thinking about bobbing the bed when my truck comes in the mail; I watched an old video of yours where you bobbed a bed on a maroon tf2, would you still do it the same way with a hacksaw or is there another method you think would be better? I’m nervous about getting both sides lined up.
Id still do it the same, just with a little more taping my lines. A good new blade too, lol. I had my sides pretty even, just the bed floor is where the saw wondered a bit.
The out of the box config looks like the modern 'resto-mod' Hilux/pickups that are runnin' around. I own a 1:1 82' on the same wheels, but I'm runnin' STA Super Traxions, which are a fairly narrow bias ply tire. They're about a 31x8 in inches. Which in 1:9 scale is about 3.4x.0.7 inches. The only RC tires I've found that get to that kind of size are the 1.7 semi tires, which aren't exactly crawling tires. But the lower stance looks good. Even with the wheels sticking out like they've got spacers

I see you just got a 3d printer. Try the stealth battery tray from dinky RC for the TF2!
Oh, what a feeling to nail what you what your tiny TRUCK look and perform….Toyota!

Looks super realistic!! Great stance.

They did. Look up the 1.9 Hawkeye. I have a set on my k30 and they are a great looking tire.

Have you ever ran twisted fab co leafs? I hear they’re all the rage but not sure if they better then the red soft leafs

is it possible to change the old tf2 4 runner to leaf under axle?
I dont see why not, I put a 4runner body on this chassis to see what it looked like, and it looked good.

$569 is now the norm for a larger RC toy? Geezuz what a joke and just wait until you flip this thing and the body gets damaged. Hell No.
