Thank you for this video! Install worked perfect. However, my MacBook Pro is laggy af. Fans blowing non stop. I did the post install patch (all applicable patches already installed). Besides replacing my MacBook, is there anything else can I do? It’s a early 2011 MacBook Pro, 2.2 ghz quad core i7 processor, 16GB 1333mhz memory and AMD Radeon HD 1gb graphics card.
Does it have an SSD installed if that’s not the case you could try switching the old one for a fast SSD, the speed difference is crazy
it should be noticeably laggier than high sierra but maybe you have a problem with the graphics card. afaik the non metal gpu support is partial. Seems like the devs are doing a lot of hackery to get them to work
How are the fans and temps?
Pretty high but that's not really the OS fault, these computers run very hot in general. I replaced the thermal paste but it only made in marginally better. Without a fan control program it will reach 90° celsius often.
@@MacintoshMen that’s disappointing, on high sierra I was getting around 50° C at idle. Have you tried the app turbo boost switcher? It helped some by turning off hyper threading and lowering the temp
@@narutobroken Yes, on idle I also saw 50°C but when you do something it ramps up fast.
My temps also little high, first i change thermal paste to mx5, doesnt help much, now i add Liquid Metal and its better on high temps.
Before i always rech over 95°c now it max 85
thankyou brother!!!! usefull tutorials...!!!!
You are welcome!
☠BLACK BARON☠ 31:40 ... If Airport works even better with patching it would be a proof that patchdevs are doing a better job than Apple devs itself? Right? 9:20 It's the battery that is blowing up over the years and pushing against the underside of your trackpad. Mac FANS are blowing really well after iCloud logins and OSX installs.
Where can I get Monterey OS?
Have a look here: ruclips.net/video/wD_7n-8nnn0/видео.html
@@MacintoshMen Thank you! 😁
Nice video. Could you please try some other more fancy installations" like: Install the PS4 OS on a PC or the other way around. Are theese experiments possible or would fail because of the different formats of the systems?
I'm afraid that's impossible.
thank you so much for this! now, my Macbook Pro 8, 2 is more useable :))
I got the same laptop and ordered ssd can’t wait to try this out
SSD and enough RAM is crucial, then you should have a reasonable experience.
@@MacintoshMen i forgot to mention that i have ordered 8 gig of ram stick as well
Bad impression on the Monterey as it will burden the graphic issues, better to downgrade to Big Sur for better performance apps..
Agreed! If you don't care about the features, downgrading sure is the better option.
Could you please explain more why? Macbook air 2012.
I hear the fans working most of the time.
veryyyyyyy gooooooooood bro tnx veryyyyy veryyyyyy
Theirs an error with the software assistant not being able to update. How do I fix that?
Better yet Edge LOL . I use Brave and Firefox
don't work
mac air 2011 4.2
Macbook Air is a fundamentally different computer unfortunately
@@MacintoshMen i've solved
@@MacintoshMen one problem dont' open the maps
Nice work. I think if you max out the ram to 8gb it will get rid of the lag that you’re experiencing.
It will definetely help, but I don't think it'll get rid of the lag.
I have an identical macbook and Ive maxed it out to 16 Gb of ram, I will try this and let u know
@@joachimlundberg did it work?
@@The_Navigator07 Yes but Bluetooth doesn’t work properly. Otherwise all good. I do get the apple bluetooth keyboard working it doesn’t see any of my other peripherals. No correction apple bt keyboard only workinh Witherspoon USB lightning cable ant ideas???
@@joachimlundberg - Apparently you need to update the WiFi/Bluetooth card. The new OS doesn't support the old legacy cards. I read somewhere but cannot be more specific.
Very good ! I have an macbook pro from 2010 that came with High Sierra now it runs smoothly with Monterery, now we hope for the big surprise……..Ventura but it is not supported right now ! Hope it wil with a new release of the OCLP app soon😊
Brother do have rag or high ram usuge problem??
I have had 4 different places that deal with computer repair here in my city and they all said that the computer can not be upgraded beyond High Sierra. I have the early 2011 Macbook Pro 81 with 10.13.6 I went from 8 gb to 16gb with it. So now I will go back to the one repair place and tell them about this video. I will downgrade the hdd from a 500 gb to a 256 gb solid state drive. Then I can keep the original drive as a spare in case the downloaded OS doesn't want to work for 1 reason or another.
Dang its loud
Yeah, it desperately needs the thermal paste replaced haha
@@MacintoshMen changing thermopaste wont help. I have 2011 Pro, have changed multiple thermopaste, fan and even new heatsink/radiotor and it still goes to 100C time to time
@@ginters1199 same here, Arctic MX-5 causes ~100°C when I’m rendering photos, after change to MX-4 it is ~95°C and it is loud like jumbojet 🥲
MacBook toaster .
It didn’t work dont waste ur time
Can I install this on 4gb of ram?
I'm sure you can but it probably won't run very well
Hii! Do you have discord or something? i have a question about it.. i have the same macbook.. so i could use your help!! ty!!!
Sorry, I don't have this Mac anymore.
Wie dass wohl laufen würde, wenn kein Akku verbaut wäre?... xD
Was genau meinst du?
