    1️⃣ Types of UK student visas: ⁠
    Short-term study visa: For courses up to 6 months (can be extended to 11 months for English language courses). ⁠
    Child student visa: For ages 4-17 studying at independent schools. ⁠
    General student visa: For ages 16+ on longer courses. ⁠

    2️⃣ Main requirements for UK student visa ⁠
    Passport details and recent photograph. ⁠
    Unconditional offer from a licensed sponsor (CAS form) ⁠
    Proof of English language proficiency (if required). ⁠
    Financial support proof (Bank balance to show availability of living costs of £1,023 per month outside London and £1,334 per month in London) for 12 months. ⁠

    3️⃣ Application process ⁠
    Can be completely done online. ⁠
    Must visit in person for the Biometric appointment and if an interview is required. ⁠

    4️⃣ Visa fees and healthcare surcharge ⁠
    Visa fee: £490 (~US$620). ⁠
    Healthcare surcharge: £470 (~US$594) per year. ⁠

    5️⃣ Working while studying ⁠
    Student visa holders in full-time education can work part-time (up to 20 hours/week during term). ⁠
    For students aged 16 or 17, the maximum is 10 hours per week during term time ⁠
    Restrictions: No full-time work, no public funds, no self-employment, etc. ⁠
    National Insurance Number required for work. ⁠

    6️⃣Bringing partner and children ⁠
    Allowed if on a government-sponsored course over 6 months, or a full-time PhD or research degree. ⁠
