Obviously a few people from interviews can't represent the whole school but drawing from these interviews I find MIT students much more likable compared to students in other top schools (ivy leagues, etc.). They're very down to earth and honest!

Because MIT is affordable to people from all backgrounds, you get aid from the college based on your family income. While Ivy league students come from well off families.

You should watch the TED talk that says lack of sleep can cause cancer and do major damage to your immune system
If actually does I did real life experiment.i slept only 2 hrs for. A week and my heart showed very high loads of activity even if I was just sitting and felt like shit 😂
@@TheFlamingfighter because your circadian rhythm was off. Once you pay your sleep debt you will go back to normal
Funnily enough is that people in developing countries have on average even worse sleep quality time than americans, and i know Americans don't have that good quality sleep
@@TheFlamingfighter i did about 4-3 hours for like a month, and when evaluating, its actually very unhealthy and unproductive(i forget everything almost instantly), sleep is no joke

I'm in my last year cs major and i'm currently a software engineering intern. Honestly, if you understand linked list, trees, heaps, complexity, and other algorithm you are set. The rest you can just google when you are working.

@@abhinavjha5825 I study almost 14 hours nowadays. But that is because of my huge backlog. Consistent study of 6-7 hours every day from beginning is more than enough. I am a NEET aspirant.
Yeah,absolutely.I just started 11th this year and my teachers tell us to study for atleast 7-8 hours after attending all the lectures.

They sleep for 8-12 hours, scrolling on the phone for 9 and half hours, study for 5-6 hours and not including lectures time. Are they living in alternate universe where they have 40 hours a day?
First of all you are mixing everyones answers. Not all of them said they studied 6 hours. Not all of them said their screen time is 9 and half hours. Not all of them said they sleep 8h. But even if what they said was true, their screen time might be high because they use their phone to study as well. Not only that but they might use it in class or before sleep or during lunch, breakfast, dinner. So the total amount of time they use their phones gets to 9h.

They know how to manage themselves👍 It’s crazy for me to think that they kept a good sleep routine while me (and others I know) from our shitty colleges gets insomnia from college days that lasted years till now

Wait, what? People rejected from Harvard and all these ivy leagues "end up" in MIT, and they have imposter syndrome? Dudes, all non US engineering students dream of MIT as gold, and rightfully so judging by how down to earth these students seemed.
As they sleep early and wake up early This also makes me think that there are still some students who are still following the early to bed early to rise sleep cycle.

From what I have heard, freshmen year at MIT is really hard since they are trying to weed out those who don’t belong there.
And barely anyone leaves...because we all belong here.
About 95% of MIT freshmen graduate. There are no grades at MIT during freshman year. It's just pass/fail.

It is so funny that the things from video are common for any high-ranked national tech-university. I am from MIPT (Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology) and I can certainly claim that from the beginning of the interview I supposed the guys had been asked and translated somewhere in my own university, haha :-) Especially with the fellow planning to do smth great and study economics after graduation, it is such a familiar vibe, you know😅

no one has 8hrs lectures daily. If you ever went to a university. You´d know that it's much less. A lot of the times you do not need to attend any lecture. So you wake up at 6am and study until 4-5pm. After that you are free to party.
Everyone is so amazed by just studying for 7-8 hours....bro that's nothing in front of indians...our stater pack starts from 7-8 hours per day and goes upto 18 hours per day ...and this is no joke literally!

MIT is literally THE BEST UNIVERSITY IN THE WORLD by most prestigious rankings, it's weird that some of them did not get accepted into other schools

Sometimes that’s just the way it is. I know multiple people that transferred from University of Michigan where I’m at directly to Harvard. When you are a top 25 university you are all in the same league lol. We’re talking single numbers of a difference even between MIT and us especially for the top majors.
Sometimes you just don’t get in. All you need to do is just re apply and chances are you’ll get in the next term. My gf a 4.0 student that also got an early associate’s got rejected from UofM meanwhile I got accepted into their CS program. I’d say she deserves it more, but tbh we both do so it just happens it’s weird to say

I'm a Mechanical Engineering student and I sleep at 12, sometimes 1 o'clock, and wake up at 4 o'clock. It's paying off because my grades are getting higher.
Make sure you get more sleep on weekends, 3-4 hours sleep is not healthy at all dude
