I have a question. So I have just a few wants in life. I want to learn Chinese because I love the culture and have been Buddhist for two years. Without speaking Chinese there isn’t much of a community for me and at times it gets lonely. My best friend is also from China and is in the military now. Id love to surprise him or finally communicate with his mother efficiently after all these years. I also want to learn how to play the piano or guitar. At the same time I have college classes to stay on top of. I also have to make time for daily meditation practice and religious duties. For now, I am just learning a bit of piano a day, maybe 30 minutes. And trying to learn Chinese phrases in my free time. I’m also of course staying on top of my practice. Do you think it is best to take up one skill at a time. For example, learn Chinese and forget instruments until finished. Or make time for both. I want to master all these things but I do not know if I should go step by step with each. Or one at a time.. what do you think Izzy?
