I feel that writing down my thoughts helps me a lot when I am burnout out. I feel that having a clear idea about why you are burned out, what your goals are, or what you are worried about helps you focus and helps you understand why you are feeling a certain way.
100% Agree. I once got to a point of desperation and burn out which was a bit depressive. I just started a rant in my notebook about everything I was facing and basically jotted down whatever came to my mind. I realized after that these thoughts were gone, as if I had transferred them from my mind straight to paper.
This is the healthiest productivity video I’ve ever watched. I’m so sick of “read 10 books a month”, “wake up at 5 am” like, these things have only made my mental health worse and this video is so comforting. I’ve literally stopped in the middle of the video to go write down a spectrum of things that energize me and things that drain me and I will start organizing my day based on this, it makes so much sense! Thank you, Izzy!💖 And you got a new follower because I absolutely want to watch more of your videos🩵✨
As somebody who has tried and failed for 4 years in community college, countless jobs, and currently unemployed and no work, It's inspiring seeing ivy league students who are also youtubers, inspiring others. I'm not like ya'll but kudos to ya'll. Here's to your future endeavors!
Hm you seem to be quite unsuccessful. Is there nothing which interests you? I work part time bc my job is boring. In my free time i only do things which are fun. Often i do them also during work (home office).
This video randomly popped up while I was browsing, and it couldn’t have been more timely! I’m an incoming 1st year med student this September, and I really appreciate the things you mentioned in the video. I wasn’t able to practice a healthy lifestyle and school-life balance during my premed days, so I’m eager to do better this time for the sake of my mental and physical health.
I think that finding a community to engage with is the most important part. Trying to force yourself to find something appealing in a given subject might actually have the opposite effect of increased energy usage rather than its mitigation. If you have a study group, the people around you act as a sort of safety net for when the lulls inevitably come. Essentially, you don’t have to have a passion for something in order to act, and study groups give you the framework to realize this.
I have only just started studying (literally three days ago) but what i hated about the first day was the silence. I was completely unable to focus on my book, even though i had devided it into 30 pages a day (since i want to finish it within the month, it is over 900 pages) and had a rough plan, and even with music i was really struggling. What i found really helped me on day 2 was watching «study with me» videos, in particular the ones without lofi music, but ambiant sounds (like fire or rain, or both) and in those they also stucture them to be 25 minute intervals with 5 minute breaks. It was amazing, i was able to stay completely focused, AND finish all the pages (including note taking) in roughly 4 hours (it really didnt feel like that long. It was like having a study partner, even though we didn´t talk to each other. I hope this keeps motivating me, because these past two days have been great (im gonna study again shorty, just have to finish my breakfast haha) Thank you for this video! I´ll keep it all in mind if ever I feel this burnout!

Hi Lzzy, thanks for the video. I really envy you for managing to get eight hours of sleep a day. For me, it's just too hard. Thank you Izzy for the practical advice on how to study consistently without burning out. You mentioned several useful strategies like taking regular breaks, starting small and building up study time gradually, setting realistic goals, mixing up study methods, rewarding yourself, getting enough sleep, exercising regularly, and taking a day off each week. All of these tips will be helpful in allowing me to study effectively long-term without experiencing mental fatigue or burnout.
I think Izzy is definitely correct. But didn't you already know a lot of this stuff already? Because for me, I regularly binged Ali Abdaal's videos. Whilst they were really informative, they overloaded me with information, and it drove my inaction.
I’m in graduate school. There is at minimum two chapters to read a week sometimes 3 to 4 with Homework and quiz that is due every week. The schedule is an 8 week class. I’m exhausted and it’s the time constraint of this class to accomplish the mastery skill in 8 weeks . In addition there is generally a research and/or Case study on top of the grueling 8 week schedule. Because of the time constraint it will be a challenge to incorporate the tips. Currently I average 4 to 6 hours of sleep.
Thanks for the this video it was helpful I'm also a medical student nd i will appreciate your tips and how you study nd plan for exams etc.. moreover i will wait for new updates nd videos Have a nice time.. 💙

Thank you so much izzy this was such a useful video with great tips to keep in mind!!
Thank you!
Thank you! Perfect timing.
After this video, I found I'm burn out. Thanks for making this. Now, I can try to snap out of burn-out.
The Burnout is a problem health in world, hello Dr. Izzy I´m here in Brazil, I love your videos.
ultimately studying is actually meant to bring us up and not to bring us to our knees . . glad you realise this . .
My Doctor, Ezzy just learning from you

Your videos are so useful, thank you so much !
Thank you ❤
I’m in graduate school.
Great video doctor izzy

It's nice to see these videos seem to have been more organised lately, after what appears to have been some time of irregular uploading. Is this just for the summer, or will this be a new routine?
She's been snowed under tons of work....😮
She doesn’t owe you any content. Content creators can upload as irregularly as they want. Wether you want to support then throughout is up to you

Thank you so much for sharing such a helpful video. I know this sound irrelevant but I do love your makeup so much. I love how natural it look. It would be great if you could share on how you do your make up? If you cannot I totally understand because it sound so irrelevant to your video.
