Fantastic - I was headed in the direction of the Givi XS319 for my Tiger 900 anyway, and was looking on RUclips to see how well it would fit ... and now your bit of Heath-Robinson brilliance will have me ordering the kit with the flange for the 660 as well. Well done, and thanks for sharing your ideas!
Good morning Mike Yes “but” did you enjoy the video 🤣 You can tell that the weather is getting colder and wetter, not so many opportunities to get out riding the bikes. Garage stuff is still good though. That said there’s some good new videos coming out in the next few weeks 😉. Hope all’s well with you buddy, ride safe 👍
@@tigerness5555 🤣🤣 yes, I’ve been cleaning my garage out, can’t believe how much rubbish you keep just in case 🤣 still managing to get out on the bikes but I think it won’t be long before the Triumph goes into hibernation, though the wee bike will soldier on 😉 all the best buddy 👍
I have a Tiger 900 GT Pro too and found your channel when looking for a solution to the problem of the same Givi tank bag fouling the handlebar clamp mount of my TomTom satnav. I bought the high mount and your video on fitting it was invaluable, thanks! I did a tour of the Picos in Spain mid year and agree that the issue with the key is a major faff. However I think I’ll put up with it when I use the bag as there is too much ugly metalwork for my liking with this solution. One thing I learned on my Spain trip, where the rain definitely does not stay on the plain, is that the Givi tank bag isn’t waterproof, it’s barely showerproof so you need the cover in bad weather if carrying cameras etc in the bag. Thanks for really useful videos!
Hi Geoff Great to hear that you enjoyed the video and hopefully found it interesting. I agree with you about the weather protection, I either use the cover or stick the bag into the top box 😁👍
Good morning Mark “Mitzi” 🤩 WOW didn’t see that one coming. Beautiful MT07, total contrast to Bumble and Rebeline. I see the hooliganism coming out, you’re going to have loads of fun on that bike. Excellent 🏍️😁👍
move the bag base to the front of the bag...had the same problem but with the 505 tank bag in my 900 RP Aragon , then install it in my 1200 RP... perfect fit.
As my tank bag is very small, it’s not really possible to move the base forward. That said I really like my new position, it just simply works well. Hope you enjoyed the video 😁👍
@@tigerness5555 I have the square one like yours that it can't be moved and the larger 5 lts model 505, that's the one I moved the plastic base forward so the bag moves back. It fit my 900 Rally Pro and also my 1200 RP. Just travelled 6 days with it. very useful
Thank you. Great idea. I own the micro motech one and reaching the ignition key has been a pain in the neck all throughout my recent trip. I will check if they have the Triumph 660 adapter. On another subject, since I see that your both savvy and handy: do you think it would be possible to swap the 2023 front fork yoke with the 2023? The fork is the same, if the anchorage is the same, there is a good chance to be able to do it. The 2024 has a totally different system (silent block) to anchor the risers, which seems to be rather effective: when I tried the 2024 model the handlebar vibrations were basically non existent. I also suspect a different phasing might have helped. Triumph doesn't want to give advise on the subject. Thank you.
Hi Federico Great to hear that you enjoyed my video and found it interesting 😁👍 As to the top yoke, this is something that I’ve also considered. The handlebar vibration is the one thing that I dislike about the bike. I do think fitting the top yoke from the latest model would work, but it’s a rather expensive conversion. There are quite a few parts to purchase as can be seen in the link below to the new model parts list. I’m sure someone, somewhere will have done it though. Hope this helps. www.bike-parts-triumph.com/triumph-motorcycle/Tiger/900/tiger-900-gt-pro/HANDLEBARS-x-SWITCHES/155/15512/0/155
@@tigerness5555 Thank you. Yes it does, I have mounted Barkbuster, R&G end weights and I noticed a significant reduction in the handlebar vibrations, yet not enough to affect the rear mirrors which, at speed around 140km/h, become totally blurred and useless. Using Sport mode seems also to help a bit, but maybe it is just a fantasy....Safe rides
The Givi tank bag in the video does fit the bike, it’s just a bit awkward to get to the ignition switch. This is the whole reason for this video and how I modified my setup to suit me. Hope you enjoyed the video and found it informative 😁👍
Great idea, I have not fitted a tank bag for the reason you stated. Made me think about adopting your fitting method.
Great to hear that you enjoyed the video and hopefully found it helpful 👍😁

Wow great tinkering there Ian. Might consider one for Mitzi 😊
Great idea to swap the bags mount 180 degrees.
Hopefully meet up sometime 😊

Are the tanks not the same on the Rally Pro and GT Pro 🤔
