wow finding the balance btwn cool, creepy, and still being a child friendly creature is freakin amazing, without the overly detailed and out there digimon designs(which are also cool)
@@okeanos317 yeah it proved harder than expected but I’m happy with it
I would unironically use this on my teams. Such a good design.
@@Frozenkoldfury thanks so much!
The rider grafted to the top, and the pinks and reds remind me of a Nuckelavee. A coastal demon in Orcadian/Scottish folklore that brought about rot and ruin, and looked like a rider and horse grafted together and with exposed skin and sinew. Funnily enough, it being an ocean demon means you just need find a freshwater stream and cross it in order to evade the beast.
Funnily enough the Putrescent Knight also reminds me of the Nucklavee. Must have been on Miyazaki's mind lol.
We need more creatures like the Nuckelavee in games and movies. I'm pleasantly surprised to see I'm not the only one who knows about it. It feels like such an obscure being.
Omg I literally made a Pokemon version of Romina the other night! How wild. I love that yours looks so incredibly different from mine and I love all the shapes you use, they are really really smart.
@@wyattchristopherson7623 thanks so much! I have another video for this series dropping in 1 hour :) I wonder if we will have picked the same again
@@thesterninator I'll get on another one asap :)
Had to sub for that design. That false 3rd head is a really cool idea that really made it your own. Id love to see your takes on the other bosses
@@craigbolton2231 thanks! I’ve got about 4 videos out now on the Elden ring bosses as pokemon :)
@@thesterninator started watching them right after I commented
Falling star beast and Astel would be some rad Pokemon now that I think about it.
bayles signature move(s) does either fire or electric damage, based on which would do more in that battle.
CURSE YOU BAYLE!!!!!!!
CURSE YOU BAYLE!!!!!!!
CURSE YOU BAYLE!!!!!!!!!
1. I need MOAR of these.
2. I feel like this would be an ultra beast. :D
3. I need MOAR of these. Please.
@@jinougaiv220 the fifth video in the series recorded today and is dropping next week!
@@thesterninator thank you, good sir! :D
I think it's the humanoid part, but this gave me Mega-man vibes
@@natakug1 yeah I was kind of going for a similar vibe to pokemon like armorouge so it was purposeful :P

I'd have the second set of eyes have no pupils to show that the main warrior body is the one in charge.
0:04 "All the Melania 'Would' people are going to have a field day."
Divine beast dancing lion would be absolutely awesome
@@doctordisco5814 that one’s already uploaded ;) give it a watch
I love how you did make them more slightly rough, especially since a character like Romina would be a legendary, she is a legend to be felled and legendary pokemon are a bit more intimidating by just a bit.
The algorithm recommended this. I adore your designs, especially the first one with Romina! Great job!
Thank you so much! and thank you algorithm!
Second video I've seen from you, and I'm thoroughly in love with this design. The Divine Beast Dancing Lion could be a cool concept for another one of these videos.
@@desthstride587 I’ve had a few people suggest that one. I actually recorded a whole drawing for it already but wasn’t happy with it so I’m starting fresh
0:03 smash, next.
These are such amazing design ideas, i will be binging these
Binge away! I just made the playlist recently
loved your art mate, hope you keep making this kind of content!
@@eduardocruz2879 thanks! I plan on making more :) I’m at 2 videos per week and looking to fit in a third
This is so amazing. The only thing I missed was the bud part. Romina's human legs are like curled up into her centipede and scorpion part. Kinda resembling her human body to be a flower growing out of the insect and her head resembling the bud of it.
But besides this, the artwork is amazing and I would love to see it as a legendary Pokémon 😊
you nailed the pokemon design scheme so much better than most people ive seen do it! well done :D
Yoooo this is insane! :) I love the way you potrayed her
@@justdie2398 thanks! She was a ton of fun to adapt this way. I’ll definitely be doing more
When I saw Romina I instantly thought of Scolipede lol
@@leonweidner8206 saaaaaaame
I see Centiscorch, but Scolipede works too.
@@Br0ck3n centipedes is centipedes. I started out with a more purple concept in mind but with the inspiration I had to go red.
better design on the centipede part than fromsoft did (i am saying this because this one has toxicognaths while elden ring has pincers)
i was honestly expecting something dealing with the scarlet rot as the ability, wether it be "you can double apply poison" or corrosion (with a name and color change as the differing factors)
I definitely dig your sharper harsher design for this guy. Golisopod for example is one of my favorites.
As well as real life centipedes, i like the segmentation armor design.
For the butterfly wings, you perhaps could have fashioned the in the like of a shoulder cape or some such.
Finding someone who’s combined two of my favorite things is like discovering treasure. This design is sick and I’d honestly love to see a Pokémonized Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame (my favorite boss). Regardless, stoked to watch more of your videos!
@@aubreywatson3918 that’s actually the elden ring video I released after this one :)
@@thesterninator, I saw! Already watched the series up to now, actually 😂 Super excited to see what comes next, Elden Ring or not-I’m here for the long haul now!
i noticed you didn't give her a type
my guess would probably be either Bug/Poison Bug/Fairy or Fairy/Poison
considering those are the 3 most prevalent themes when it comes to the scarlet rot
@@evodolka yeah it was an early video with that stat setup and I hadn’t realized I’d forgotten the typing :P if I had to pick I think your point on Bug/Fairy feels perfect! Fairy/Poison too
@@thesterninator so many good choices really
watched the rest of these videos, really cool stuff, keep it up
Very cool interpretation, you transferred it's likeness well; though I could also see this being a protoype Latias/blaziken situation where the designer decides to split them up since it looks like too much is going on in one monster design. If you did decide to make alternate forms for Rominipede I can easily see the centipede part being a standalone creature and the human portion being fleshed out to look more like Armarouge/Ceruledge or scizor with the new lower body you'd have to make; I think tht's a pretty good sign of a good design if you can further split it in half, but they still stand strong on their own.
for some of the humanoid characters, you could turn them into pokemon trainers
i like the design and the principle of the ability and stats, but considering that the rot is specifically the shade of scarlet i personally would've named the ability something like sarlet shroud. but if that's my only semi-complaint, when romina was one of my favorite bosses, i thinks you did really well!
I'm so beyond thankful to see that this is actual art and not that ai crap. You're creating great things!
I feel like the 70/30 rule would or might work extremely well for a design as wild as Saint of the Bud. It's when you make 30% of a composition standout by dedicating it different contrast and colors. I thought of that when you said you wanted the rider to be the center of the design.
I noticed you tried to make it like Saint of the Bud by making the Rider, Cenitpede, and Scorpion parts very cohesive and sharing of the composition. The result is something very cohesive, like most pokemon are, but the rider doesn't stand out like you wanted.
I kind of want to see you revisit this design by making the 'rider' take up 30% and stand out with it. I'm curious if it'd no longer seem like a Pokemon, or no longer seem like the Saint of the Bud. I also fear if in order to make 30%, the long body would have to be much longer, like Centiscorch long, to get that kind of ratio or proportion.
Great design at the end of the day, but you got me THINKING and now I can't stop thinking.
You and BilsuArt should team up! 🤝
@@Dracoward tell them and I’m sure I can :P
I need this thing so bad. I would 100% make it a part of my team despite the fact that i HATE pink xD.
For Elden Ring, are you familiar with the 3 butterflies from the Base Game? Thought it would be cool to turn those into three starters to choose from when you enter and Elden Ring Pokemon game. Then you can have Mesmer's butterfly from the DLC to be like Pikachu to Ash as in the Anime.
Anyways, enjoyed your content! Keep up the great work!
AMAZING🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I wouldn’t bother with the rider, i think it muddles things up too much and looks jarring. Better to abstract her more, so she’s just the centipede scorpion thing. This also gives you more options for other bosses you’d do in the future, I/E radahn becoming a lion instead of a humanoid with lion themes or something
I feel like Romina has Zorc Syndrome, only it's a centipede instead of a dragon. 😏😂
This is amazing, I always love how pokemon are designed, unfortunately the games aren't really for me though.
It look amazing but did you call Romina an early boss? She literally meant to be second or third to last boss you fight in dlc, and you supposed to already be in late game to start the dlc at least lv100
She can be the first boss you get to and theoretically you only need to fight her and mesmer to get to the final boss. So i assume that a lot of people got to her accidentally and then did the optional bosses later
Shading isn't my favorite part either. So I get it.
What type is it?
@@smudge8466 yeah… the layout I use has space for it and I completely forgot to add the typing in the final. I was thinking Bug/Dark. What do you think?
@@thesterninator Bug is my favorite type, and we only have one other bug/dark, so I think that would be great. But any combination of bug, fighting, poison, or dark could potentially fit.
@@smudge8466 then it works :D
the design is cool but other than centipede with humanoid on top this doesn't look like romina turned into a pokemon.
God I wish this was a real pokemon I love it that much.
Btw what type is it supposed to be?
Oh hey it's a combination of both my autistic hyperfixes, this should be fun
