Reading the song of Achilles and needed to hear what a lyre sounded like lol. It’s such a pretty instrument!
Small world! Same here
OMG SAME (though i knew what a lyre sounded like) I WAS LOOKING FOR A PATROCHILLES COMMENT 😭♥️
SAME LOL
Wtf I was not expecting to see this but I’m doing the same thing 😂
Same
now my HP is restored thank you
Odyssey
Oh to be a lyre player harmonizing with my kin while we sit by a beautiful lake surrounded by nature!
Reading the whole book makes me cry. Listening this make me feel the story. Remembering it makes me sad.
Patroclus you have my heart. ❤
Beautiful playing. Apollo himself would agree.
This piece reminds me the tale of Orpheus and Euridice, myth of impossible love due to the Fate. Thanks, really.
Love from Italy.
Beautiful. I've been reading Greek myths recently, in which the lyre is a frequently recurring instrument. Knowing how it sounds, I can now fill in that void in my imagination :)
There is greek lyra and nordic lyra, this one is nordic
@@egyptianhibiscus9203 no, this instrument is not Nordic, it is Gallic as described in the title. good night
@@AtelierSkald Oh sorry for my mistake, I am not an expert - I meant from the North generally, compared to the others (which are from Greece, Iran, Egypt). So this sound was probably not connected with Greek myths, but is beautiful anyway.
The song of Achilles fits so perfectly in this video:
At first Achilles plays alone then arrives Patroclus he learns how to play and they compose their own special song.
But then the most terrible thing happens and Achilles is alone, again
god that book ruined me
Your music takes me to another world where there are only birds, trees, animals, fairies and a field of flowers... ❤️
Thank you so much!
I really love this. I've been reading books about classical and ancient Greece. I'm happy to know I'm listening to the instrument that's been discussed in so many poems and books.
Well, now I know which instrument to pick for my bard :D
Same that’s why I came here
I invite you to discover our work on our website ;)

Duets on the lyre are a form of ensemble that stirs the soul, imagination and brings great delight in the hearing. May you continue to bring such beauty to the world.
Why thumbs down? Mesmerizing music and stunning scenery. Beautiful.
The system does it
this is how you transform poetry into music
I'm probably here because of the bard in Asterix. It's surprising how such sophisticated music can come from so few notes.
This is the first video that came up after searching "lyre". And I'm so glad I clicked
Where has this beautiful instrument and music been all my life?
2nd oldest known instrument in history.
Touches the Heart of an altered Time....we need more of it during these turbulent situations.
Reading how David in the Bible played this to Saul...I never knew what or how a lyre sounded like, now I do, it's very beautiful to listen to!!! Thanks alot!!!
This sound…..ah the lyre is so beautiful instrument
Thank you!
Mister Tone-deaf Bard, what a coincidence seeing you here.
LOL
Venti??
@@ajax1546 Ehe~ hi Ganyu!
I feel like i should save my progress now
Save early save often.
Don't worry! If you sleep or sit by the fire till morning your hp will restore and you'll get an auto save
May Apollo bless you both
Thank you for helping me look into a Lyre for a D&D character.
I actually have a bard playing a lyre and I'm thinking of playing music like this while performing or something in game.
Reading first Samuel and had to hear what a lyre sounded like lol , very pretty I can see why the evil spirit would leave Saul when his servants would play the lyre
Same boat haha i imagine david playing for saul too.
Yes😂🥰
Ah I love the lyre. always reminds me renascence and natural vibrancy. Also great duet! I had never heard a duet with these instruments before they produce excellent harmony!
Thank you for your message.
I invite you to discover our new duo with this clip, →

@@AtelierSkald it sounds fantastic! The music box was a great choice to include there.
If I may ask What country and language?
Some random mythology;
According to Greek mythology the first lyre was made by Hermes when he was first born. He killed a turtle and used its shell and some cow guts to create the first one. On that same night he had kidnapped (cownapped?) Apollo's sacred cows and after Apollo found the baby God he was furious. So in return for his freedom he gave Apollo his remaining cows back and the lyre. That is how Apollo obtained the lyre.
Hermes also taught him how to use it
@@bellaknightR597 Yep
Yes but father god is real and enjoys it!
Listen to first testimony from god by David sushet
@@roywilliams5098 broski, just let us enjoy mythology lmao
@@bananat0fu well as long as you know god detests it!
Ahh, there is nothing better than having an amazingly well done performance that you can zone out, while listening to. Following by silence, following by something blowing out your ears.
I was looking for the song of time... Yet I was not disappointed.
Your craft of creating these instruments and sharing this music is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your work and creativity!
Thank You ! =)
🇫🇷 Gaullish Lyre 🥰🇫🇷
A marvellous for our ancestors. ⚔️
La Lyre gauloise. Splendide hommage à nos ancêtres⚔️ 🇫🇷⚔️
My best friend and me used to play the lyra. This made me remember some beautiful expereiences with him :)
Reading the story of David and Saul had to check out how a lyre sounded.. very relaxing indeed
I will praise you with the lyre, O God, said King David. I wanted to see what a lyre looked and sounded like. Beautiful! 😊
👍💗👌
Same ❤
❤️🔥
it's amazing how an instrument with such limitations on its range can sound so great
the only real limitation is the one that the musician imposes on himself.
Как красиво и гармонично звучание лиры с природой! Молодцы!
Спасибо огромное!
I've just started learning russian recently so I can read this but I don't know what it means, and I wish i did--
Such pretty music, what graceful playing 😇
Wonderful lake, and nice music. Sometimes, that's all what we need.
Life is great.
Это восхитительно, волшебно, бесподобно!!!
Я заворажен вашей мелодией!!!
Look at me searching up lyre After reading the song of Achilles
Oml same, i just read chapter 4 where Achilles played in front of Pat. I just wanted to hear what lyre sounds like.
omg yeah
Very pleasant, I wish video games would use music like this for travel and exploration. The music is active without being invading.
why must everything be about video games omg !
And so the algorithm brings us all together
Is this an instrument that could be self taught at home online ?
This was phenomenal. Pure medieval ethereal magic.
Every instrument can be! Especially string instruments, you might nit be doing it 'properly' but that'll result in a more unique sound!

Apollo smiles down upon you.
indeed he does ☀️
that was beautiful. i realized as you played that i'd never really given any thought to what ancient music listeners heard, i just pictured the thing without 'hearing' it. thank you.
I want a deeply researched movie about how people got to develop this wonderful instrument.

This song sounds you’re playing it on a music box - so perfectly in synch ❤️
Reading a novel set in Rome with a lead character who's a singer and a lyre player and wanted to hear what she may have sounded like. Beautiful :)
There is something therapeutic about getting lost in an instrument especially if you are playing it by ear and try to find out what works
A very nice sounding...(!). As I'm understanding, this is a very ancient celtic musical instrument. BfK. 👍⭐⭐⭐😘
Ancient sound, mentioned in book of Daniel 3.5, now I know what it looks n sounds like, beautiful, thanks
Hi I am in turkey, Excellent music, incredible. I am very impressed
I love the sound of a lyre!
This is so lovely and magical and takes me back to an enchanted place.
Respect from Germany. Wonderful Music👍
Lyres, both of them!
Very beautiful. So talented.
Hermes did a good job making the prototype out of tortoiseshell and cow guts.
I misread it as Song Of Time from Zelda. It wasn't Zelda, but I'm not upset because I still heard a masterpiece.
Merci beaucoup de partager cette beauté. Bien à vous!
You would make Apollo blush!!
Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise Him with the harp and lyre. Psalm 150:3
You guys just awesome....its my favorite instrument...love from india...maharashtra...
As a pagan who worships the Greek Gods, when I found out lyres were still around, I had to grab one myself. It’s very nice listening to everyone’s covers
thank you for your message.
however we do not play Greek lyre and our music is not a cover. Have a good day
@@AtelierSkald I understand it’s not a Greek lyre. I don’t have a Greek one either, but it’s nice to see that the lyre still exists in modern times. Apologies for not realizing it was an original composition. I had searched up “lyre covers” and yours was the first I clicked. I didn’t look at the title as I was distracted at the time and wanted to just listen to beautiful music. Still very amazing and beautiful piece, Atelier.
so beautiful such a talented playing.Very tempting and the sound of it is just amaizing!
Thank you both. Very lovely. 🙏🙇♂️
They seem like true followers of Bragi. Skål fellow skalds!
I need to learn how to play this so I can be what I've been dreaming of since I was a kid:
An NPC Bard.
Seriously, I want to learn how to play this.

Thank you very much!

I really like a seat near the fireplace to your music! magical music! 🎶
I just thank humanity for letting me hear this
It was beautiful and meditative. The lion roaring at the end made me jump, though. I would've liked that a bit quieter.
Hello,
we are delighted that this video pleases you and relaxes you, however, we are luthiers and primary objective of this video is to demonstrate this collection of instrument which has the dragon as logo.
I invite you to discover our other videos produced under our artist name Ar Bard.
soon
This is amazing, so medieval, I love it.
First lyre I've ever heard. Sounds almost identical to a harp honestly. Beautiful sound.
More of a 'tin' sound than the concert harp, but I don't know if that is just because it is smaller. Anyway, I like it. Good to know what a popular instrument of 2,000 - 3,000 years ago sounded like.
Don't know if it is just due to smaller size or something else, but quieter and more of a 'tin' sound than concert harp. I like it though. good to know what a popular instrument of 2000 years ago sounded like.
@Darren Murphy this form of instrument is attests in the Celtic peoples of the Iron Age. we must not confuse the instruments.
@Darren Murphy Organology is a science and allows us to identify the shape of instruments and their origins.
As I explained in my previous post, the shape of the instrument used in this video is the form used by the Gauls.
Until proven otherwise, this form was used on the European continent during the Iron Age. If a discovery confirmed its existence at the age of galce, let me know.
good night
Very beautiful playing.
Thank you!
That song sang to my soul...thank you!
Magnifique ! ⚒️🐗⚒️
"Ah, nothing like some peaceful string music to fall asle-- OH MY GOD A LION"
Dragon, not lion... ;)
Excellent, bravo !
Délicats et beaux... des sons profonds et tendres... pure merveille !
This music is so relaxing and peaceful I'll sleep with it beautiful thank you
Very cool!
Hello.
Love this you two are bringing true magic here . This activates my magic.
Thank you; beautiful music.
No wonder Saul loved listening to this instrument
"He was half of my soul, as the poets say."
Beautiful
I’m shopping for one, shout out David and Jesus 💪😎
No idea that is how a lyre sounded like omg, pretty relaxing to hear
Wow! It sounds so magical!
Magnifique !
Beautiful tunes!
O ffurlion o lion I know though art fear but thou art never to fear only to keep strong faith and remember ur roots are deeper than the Nile river and bigger than the himilayans mnts. Blessed is he who travels by the heart and walks with his spirit to find truth. Blessed are you who come with a pure and contrite heart.
Ver nice music, so relaxing listening you guys.
Hermoso, enserio que con esos paisajes parecen dioses griegos tocándole a el bosque. Merçi
Who all came here after reading The Song of Achilles?? 🥺❤️
Oh my god yes!!! I just finished reading the chapter where Achilles takes Patroclus to his lyre lessons 🥺💕
Fantastique! J'ai adoré tellement que j'ai eu envie de jouer cet instrument.
Amazing instrumetal. I like this great performance 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
So beautiful! Thanks.
