While everything you said was informative, you never showed how to 'sharpen' the blades. From the title I was expecting to see you use a whetting stone and sharpen the blades.
Thank you Mr Warren for your tutorial on maintaining Andis clippers. Godfatha from London (UK)
Thank you for watching, I use a soft arkansas stone to condition the blades. It is very smooth and does not damage the teeth. The other triangular set of stones are course, they help if you need to break down the surface on older blades. The prefer to use brand new blades that I lightly condition on the soft stone.
Thank you for watching, I prefer to sharpen my blades once a month. I sharpen them about 4-5 times and then I buy new blades. The average barber does not sharpen or change the blades they use that often, its my preference.
Thank you Godfatha, I appreciate you watching my video and commenting. Please send everyone in London my regards.
Brother You Are So Gifted Not Like Other's. Not Some On RUclips Now A Days...
Thanks for the Tutorial homie...I'll be doing this today.
When adjusting the blade I used to do it hownyou did here. Then i lesrned to set it with blades facing flat down on the table as homey explains in th other video. Angle it so that the moving blade is adjusted to your spec as you explained. Thanks for the vid.
when did he sharpen the blade
Nice work Bro!
Thank you brother.
Thanks bro this helped a lot
good info, thanks!
Thanks for the high quality video. Much appreciated.
You have many talents:)
Thank you for watching, yes, I will.
Thanks for the tip my friend. How often should I sharpen my blades though?
thanks for your video. It had alot of details that I was looking for. Im just getting into barbering coming from cosmo school. I enjoy men's grooming ALOT. so im just trying to educate myself on all my tools and maintenance. I just ordered two more t- outliners blades and i was wondering how often i should switch them? I did sharpen my first pair and they worked well for awhile. but now its not. so i just want to make sure im doing the right thing haha. thanks again

I'm not normally one to comment your info and description on point but I kept zoning out thinking I was looking at a landscape
Thats the one I have. Ill try working it on the fine side. I doubt that side can ruin the blade. Thanks Dave.
Good video thanks
Hey thanks for the video! It was very informative. Is that triangular set of stones you have in the video the Smith's TRI-6 Arkansas TRI-HONE Sharpening Stones System from amazon? If not would you recommend this stone for toning and sharpening? Also, do you know if there is a specific number of grit a stone needs to have to properly sharpen the blades, or can the stone simply be "fine" or "medium". Thanks!!
Thank you for watching, I appreciate your wise words. Stay tuned more videos comming soon.
Sounds good. One more thing, do you use sharpening stone oil for your arkansas stone before you sharpen your blades? Thanks
Great video man. You sound like Eazy E in the straight outta Compton movie
Interesting advice for cutting kids. My son always gets cut when getting the lines. I guess kids have more sensitive scalps, no need to carve into them with the tricked out blade
Thanks for watching the video, that is not the floor, its the counter top at my barber station. Why would you think I was on the floor sharpening my clippers?
Where could I purchase a smoothing stone like yours? The white one that you use in the video.
I sharpen three times and then I get a new blade. I sharpen my blades once a month but most barbers keep their blades longer but I like brand new blades.
What did you use to take off the sticky feel on the blade ?
Yeah, its ok but i like the wahl balding blade. Do you like using the Andis blade?
from 15 to 25 depending on where you go. Thank you for watching
Really liked the video, but the showing of setting the new blade was burliness not clear. I did enjoy all the advice on the up keep of clippers. Look forward to the next video.
Do all andis trimmers need to be oiled and clippers needs to tune up power screw
Wassup, man. What kind of sharpening stone are you using? amazon link? Thanks for the vid.
Its in the video but the sharpness of the cut is determined by how close the blades are set.
Also, I'm trying to figure out how to sharpen my blades. I can't find the part that talks about how to do this. Is that when you set the blades?
Keep doin' it. P.S. drop a link to that stone
Better for shaping up Andis T Outliners OR Wahl Detailers?!?!?!
HELP HELP HELP! Lol. What's good Dave, I messed around and used the coarse side on my stone too much on my Andis T Outliner blade. The blade was quite worn, I've used your technique in the past with no issue, but now they will barely cut AT ALL. ACTUALLY they wont cut! Should I purchase a new blade or try the fine side of the stone more? Thanks man.
Where did you find that nifty little small screwdriver? I believe it's a sewing machine screwdriver. #CrenshawDistrict
Where do you get that stone at ?
How often do you replace the blade?
Jacked!!!
Sorry man, but we can't see all the off camera stuff you're doing. a bit frustrating for a novice

Hey man I was just experimenting and you can use this liquid called degreaser to remove that film easy. It’s super cheap you can get a bottle for a dollar and the dollar store
Can I sharpen my blade with sand paper?
Where can I get a pair of those little small screwdrivers? I`ve been trying to find them everywhere
Dollar Store Einstein
what is it sitting in??
how and where do I find those blades?
he laying on the floor making the video lmao
Cool video, does anyone know were i can get the stone blade sharpener?
+Oscar Ekedede Amazon.com
E bay, search exactly the item in your comment
Yo can a t blade fit on a outliners 2 frame
good morning, could make me doubt, I wonder what best trimmer, andis t outliner or andis t outliner GTX ?
I would the T outliner. the GTX is more powerful, but it is so easy to break, one drop from hand height and it can break the blade and cause internal damage. the Andis T outliner however is a beast and very very strong, one simple adjustment and you will have a machine that cuts Razor Blade close
Me i order the blade of andis outliner..how much that?
how much the new blade?
Great video... Next time could you position the camera a little closer?
Try the fine side, if that doesnt wprk you will need s new blade. You should try snd get a soft arkansas stone.
The David Warren Channel
i got a pair of those last spring when i was in NYC.
They worked very smooth, then i went back home to Iceland and i cant use them no more bc they r very loud n shake so much i cant even do a straight line wit em
i kno its bc the electricity up here runs on 220
but is there anythin i can do to fix it ?
No , you might be able to get something with a pivot motor. Try the andis T Liner, I have a video for them.
The David Warren Channel i know other people up there that got the same one i got n it works ok, its a lil loud but not as loud as mine
but where can i order the T liner online ?

you can try purchasing a power convertor. is a rectangle, small device with multiple outlets, designed for Americans who move abroad, and are use to a certain amount of lower power as you yourself stated.
on another note, when shopping for new andis clippers on Ebay as suggested by my idol Sir Warren, please, please read ALL the sellers feedback, and view his list of other items he is selling.
if he has good feeback and sells alot of barber salon items. only then you should purchase.
there is ALOT of cheap counterfeit t out liners on the market, that are dull, will break, or even shock your client.
peace and love, all the way from Nyc
check the voltage output of your power source in Iceland. you may need a power converter
Just how do you get the factory Hollow Grind in them using a flat stone? Cause NO new blades are sharpened FLAT.
Skip
When you buy clippers you at sally beauty supply stores give us an awnser please
