And the same for the American here too, they don't know much abouts the other ( cause American of the US only know the US). Or maybe I'm just reading too much into this.
"Skyler" got me because... I always tried really hard to name new kids in English class something that was at least vaguely related to their Chinese given name, and once I had a kid whose Chinese given name started with "天" so I named him Skyler and then all the other teachers gave me flack for naming him a "girls' name" *facepalm* But my favorite was when a girl who was starting middle school stomped into her first class with me and announced that she was changing her English name from Alice to Desdemona. Desdemona suited her a lot better, too.
If you wanted to know what each of the name's meaning was... Brendan - From Brendanus, the Latinized form of the Irish name Bréanainn which was derived from a Welsh word meaning "prince". Saint Brendan was a 6th-century Irish abbot who, according to legend, crossed the Atlantic and reached North America with 17 other monks. Skylar - The baby name Skylar of english origin means strength, love and beauty, eternal life, water giver. ... You might also consider similar names to Skylar which include Schuyler, Sky, Skye, Skyler.
No way, it’s hard to remember them! Especially when they sound similar in English! How am I supposed to remember who was who between Tian Hao, Jun Tao, Jian Hao, etc. Why do so many names start or end with the same sound, or rhyme?! 😫 It’s easy if you read Chinese, but Wang, Wong, Huang, and Hoang are all the same to me!
@@Poemi10304 the case that you've mentioned here is because they are pinyin( not the character itself), and the fuck up things about pinyin is that every place is different.
