Hahahah, spot on. The mannerisms, the conversation, forcing the cigarettes AND the pants 2 sizes too small. You got it all! So many other details too that were very funny. One of the best videos you've done IMO. Very entertaining and well thought out. Whoever wrote this one, more like this!
Wow such an amazing skit. You guys got the character and personality spot on. And fun fact: I was born in Shanghai and grew up on HuaShan Lu. My grandparents had a place there, making this skit extra nostalgic for me.
Most of the security guards wave me off with "Ting bu dong, Ting bu dong" before I can ask them for directions. When I persist, they are surprised to learn they can understand me, but it very rarely turns into a full conversation like in this skit.
LMAO, I love it. the spitting is just hilarious. whoever made this really understand how local shanghai life is and the way local shanghai people expressing themsleve
That was fantastic. A spot on encapsulation of so many conversations with taxi drivers, workers, security guards and every other random oldish random guy. Matt is gold 连大山都不如他
Nikko Sisowath it’s kind of city folk culture. Really depends on whom and where you are talking to, but apparently speaking like in theatre has been a part of Chinese language art
Yeah, it's an idiom meaning not so fantastic or only average, it's also the go-to word for non-Chinese Chinese speakers I swear. It's a real phrase, but I can't say I recall having heard a native speaker use it in a genuine context lol. Kind of a textbook phrase I'd say.
Two phrases that really hit the spot in the skit were "tian tian ci niu pai, he niu nai" and "ni ne ge ao da li ren nao zi bu tai hao". Spot on with the inflection, reminds me of my uncle. Love all your videos but this is my fav!
mate, i just pissed my pants bloody brilliant not only spot on impressive chinese but his expressions and stereotyping wow.... china left marks on all of us whom lived there for a while.... fantastic video...
OMG this was out DA hook guys, stunning amazing! The way you guys pulled this off was sensational. Both of you really CAN speak Chinese. We would love to see more like this one.
hes so good i cant take it, only matt could pull this off hahaha, sounds like they recorded a convo with an actual shifu and just exaggerated it to the max, i love this video hahaha

Most of the security guards wave me off with "Ting bu dong, Ting bu dong" before I can ask them for directions.

The inscription on the T-shirt: when you're the best, it's hard to be humble))
This is really good, watched it multiple times, spot on satire. I like it a lot more than the buzzfeed TOP 10-style videos.

Roberto Aguirre It just means "so-so" or "not too bad, but not too good".

Когда ты лучший, сложно быть скромным

Why is it so much easier for me to understand Chinese when it is spoken by foreigners?
Two phrases that really hit the spot in the skit were "tian tian ci niu pai, he niu nai" and "ni ne ge ao da li ren nao zi bu tai hao". Spot on with the inflection, reminds me of my uncle. Love all your videos but this is my fav!

The guy playing the Bao'an even has a bit of a Shanghainese accent when he speaks Chinese!
Where can I find other skits in Chinese? These help me so much to improve the language comprehension.
I felt a existentialism theme in this work.

Best one yet! Keep it up!
