Sounds beatiful, huge bass response with the palm mutes, super rich and full.

You could/SHOULD also try an EQ pedal in the effects loop.
Make SUBTLE adjustments, starting with bass then highs then mids.
Don't go for the classic SMILEY FACE shape but more of a GRIN FACE shape to get some nice bottom and presence/brilliance.
Plus (if it's like the VS100) you could adjust the effects loop level knob to mix eq'd wet sound and dry signal to get the perfect blend/tone
    Just for fun.

The Death' sound, so love it. A remembrance from the 90's. Good job bro 👍

I've been using a 6 band graphic EQ in the FX Loop of an Orange Crush Pro 120 to get similar kinds of tones. The way that you get more added compression the more that you turn the volume on the dirty channel up on the Crush Pro 120 gives it a really nice tube esque kind of compression while retaining the classic qualities of a solid state amp, and i'll even argue that with the 6 band in the loop i was able to get it to sound on par with the Big Bottom, being able to fill in the treble frequencies, cut some of the mid frequencies to where they don't sound boxed in, and boosted the bass frequencies all the way to give the amp some juice.
I've been doing this for a little over a month after i found out how a Mesa Boogie Mark series amp worked and i haven't gone back since.

Very nice. It reminds me somewhat of a graphic EQ setting I have on the V2. Put it on and it brings this massive low end into the equation that is best captured with a mic on the cabinet.

dude your videos are so gold. Funny as hell too when you go “havent played since I was like 14”. Sounds great though as always man. When the tone significantly seems to improve at 4:32 , is this simply cause of double tracking here?

Haha thanks John! Yes sir, the mix has got 3 guitars actually, 3rd is my recording live right up the middle, and bass guitar which gives it balls🤘

You can not go wrong with that amp. I have two valvestate a 8100 and a VS100H and both of them sound so tight. I would use a EQ on them and dam they will Crunch.

I used to own an 8100 years ago. Never failed to sound great. Have you tried it boosted with a Metal Zone?

After watching this video a couple times, i'm just gonna come right out and say that this amp sounds even more like a tube amp than it originally did, especially with that one preamp tube allowing the gain to fluctuate depending on how hard or soft you pick.
Who needs a DSL or a JCM900 when you've got one of these babies?

I dig the fizz - cut of it for sure! Does Metallica well , they achieved the nastiest tightest Marshall " tube" tone ever on R.T.L. ! I think all that's missing here is maybe an OD up front to sharpen / tighten. Really love those amps 🙏
