a lot of the time i see bands keeping it simple so as to not overshadow their okay singer. what i see here is a drummer and bass going up to eleven, and the singer responding by going to twelve. we need more music like this, it's just too beautiful
True, but only problem with this is once they go on tour for 7 months. That's a lot of stress on that voice man. I agree, it's genius. But there are drawbacks.
Well, it's already been established that these guys kick some major ass, but let's give some recognition to the amazing sound engineer for his/her work here. Holy shit. Cleanest mix I've heard in a long time.
sschafi1 sound engineer here and that was the most impressive thing about the song. That mix is god tier. they do love some Auto-Tune though, I'll tell you that!
+Lorenzo Rizzardi They are of curse one of the best fusion groups ever but in the past they didn't have that much options of sound. I think Return To Forever played as good if not even better they had the best musicians on any Instrument in the world listen to them :)
+Lorenzo Rizzardi They are of curse one of the best fusion groups ever but in the past they didn't have that much options of sound. I think Return To Forever played as good if not even better they had the best musicians on any Instrument in the world listen to them :)
after listening to these guys all these years I finally realized why I love their sound. To a person who doesn't play or doesnt bother to obderve technique, this sounds like a fun and quality song to dance to. But at the same time folks like me who are more musically inclined and can breakdown everything can delve deeper into what they are doing and enjoy that as well. Not many people can do both in one song. it's either simple but catchy or complex and hard for the normal "radio listener" to enjoy. this does it all
Not heard a group possessing such a musical and technical level, such a control of harmonies and arrangements while creating this so brilliant mix of funk/fusion and pop melodies, since Gino Vannelli in the 70's-80's. From 1,57 to 2,13 it's simply to fall on the ass...
Sattam Deb Only Mike Jagger ain't funk & don't rime more like the prodigal son of Ray Charles, James Brown, Elvis Presley, Brian McKnight & late Micheal Jackson with his younger brothers Justin Timberlake & Bruno Mars leaving the Chosen, Jonah Nilsson as the promised Messiah. hahahaha
Intro 0:00 to 0:19 is like David Foster & Toto and Flim & the BB's together in best days of golden era of superb fine music. Yes it’s pretty awesome, the composition, vocal, harmonies are wonderful, very powerful sound, especially for a Trio. It’s criminally and sadly, why is yet underrated this band. We should listen them in radio every day. I´m glad seeing/hear them. God bless
Misha sent me here too... I love this. I can't believe I have never heard it before with over a million views so now I must research and find out what this band is all about!
Wow... Pop seems to return to former glory. What a musical, complex, funky, jazzy beast of a song. Awesome harmonies, musicians who actually know how to play their instruments and a fantastic, clean and perfect mix. I really am impressed..! I'll tell everyone I know about you guys. You deserve recognition.
well, if you learn from somebody, why not from the best :-) and stevie is the best there is. You find his singing-style in almost every modern singer...
Started following them after Jonah's riff at 3:04 was showcased by Natalie Weiss on her show (Breaking Down The Riffs Episode 33 :Starring Clark Beckham)And Yes indeed the vocalist has the sickest range! Loved their kind of music! What an impeccably skilled musicians! If they were to make a jazz fusion album now I will be one of the first ones to buy it!
I have no idea why it's taken me so long to find this group. The musicality is insane. Each of them is a master of their craft and putting them together is like an explosion. But the singer's voice literally moved me to tears when he hit that run with the high note at the end. I'd love for him and Stevie Wonder to sing together.
That's how I always wanted pop music to sound like! Sophisticated chords, rhythms, sound design and arrangement-and yet very accessible and musical. A lot of integrated "fusion" elements without having the intellectual "musicians only" touch. YEAH ! ! ! This is probabaly the most creative and original sound I've heard for the last ten years. GREAT JOB, GUYS! I'm looking very forward to listening your new album feat. the Seawind Horns! What's the release date?
OH MY FRIKIN GOD!! These guys are AWESOME!! EVERYONE!! GO OUT AND BUY THEIR MUSIC and TELL EVERYONE WHO LOVES MUSIC about these guys!! REAL TALENT and MUSICIANSHIP aint quite dead yet!!!!
Such a great song. Their album is exceptional as well. The Gospel feel that this song starts off with still blows my mind, and I hear strong Stevie, Brian McKnight and Babyface influences. Whew! What a ride. I love their fusion of genres 😍
A 6-sided bass. Chapeau. I have only 5 here. A particularly pleasant characteristic of your music is that the background is not washed out by guitars. This emphasizes the clever harmony. The sharp chromatic bridge would have degenerated from a guitar into a mass of noise. Good.
Now that's real music right there! Lead vocal sounds like a blend of Brian McKnight and Stokley Williams from Mint Condition. Unbelievable! Can't fix my face.. And that's what musicianship should sound and look like!
I'm so impressed with this new wave of bands such as Dirty Loops, Knower and Snarky Puppy who are pushing music which is as far away from the usual chart shite as it gets. Long may it continue to be inspiring to guys even as old as me (at a youthful 62) and who is trying to emulate this sort of stuff with the aid of a Casio PX5S, Roland XP30 and MiniMoog. AND may I say doing a reasonable job...
I am so stoked to hear this record and the video of you amazing talents performing it. Well done Dirty Loops... FINALLY!!! Welcome to Music of the 2010's. Kudos to the Producer and Engineer, and Mastering Engineer. I'm listening to this on my Focal Sm9's at the Studio an it sounds FANTASTIC.
Wow!!! That run at the end though ;-) Freaking insane. I still think you guys should connect with Pentatonix and do a colab video or song. That would be soooo sick.
Dude yeah that run get me all the time....INSANE I have this joint on my phone and that run to close out is off the chain. These guys are a really amazing group.
How about a Pentatonix / Dirty Loops tour?? I know scotthoying of Pentatonix is a big fan of Dirty Loops. When I saw Pentatonix last year they even played Dirty Loops - Baby over the PA before the show.
I love Dirty Loops and this is my favourite song ever! I love it! I wish they kept on as a band and released more music. They are one of my favourite bands of all time. Love from Norway
I find myself smiling duribg your songs for the sole reason that you're having so much fun playing your music and it's actually audible - You people are freaking geniuses!
my new favorite band...evaaarrrrrr. It's obvious your jazz training and dedication to your craft! thanks for renewing my faith in new artists... I just pre-ordered your cd.
The singer is not whos the best you totally put too much into singing. The bassist is a beast and the drummers jazz playing on point very hard. Everybody sings these days but its hard to play like these 2
they are the sweetest guys in the world! Meeting them with my sister was the best day of my life!!!! Love you guys!! Keep on making music!!! You all inspired me so much!!!!!
If I hear this song, I want to stand up and just dance to it. They are so incredibly good, and what they play is so incredibly difficult ... Fresh wind in modern music. Keep going on, guys, and hold this great balance between virtuosity and "singable" quality!
They are a new band that does it right! Top notch singing, an extremely competent drummer, a jazz tinged keyboard player and a bass player that's hard to put down. They have it all!
+Belle Carpenter I have to respectfully disagree. I think they are talented but maybe appeal to a different / niche audience, they were terrible live and really sapped the energy out of the arena. Most people around us thought the same thing. Each to their own of course.
wow really ??? I was down front bout 12 metres from stage and thought they were amazing. Hrs a amazing front man the band was awesome and all their songs rocked big time. Maybe sound up on seating areas was bad if u feel that way but on the floor was awesome
Agree again... I see what you mean, all these : "Oohhh... Aaaahhh... iiii... Yeahhh" ;-) I gave an ear to their album "Loopified", there are 2 or 3 great songs like this one, but not enough (for me) to place the album on a "2014 albums playlist". Nevertheless, lot of talent in this band and what a rhythmic section !!
I don't usually like happy music, but wow the musicianship here is unreal, can't get enough. Amaranthe is probably to blame for me starting to like happy music.
a lot of the time i see bands keeping it simple so as to not overshadow their okay singer. what i see here is a drummer and bass going up to eleven, and the singer responding by going to twelve. we need more music like this, it's just too beautiful
Agreed. Perfectly stated.
Perfectly Agree
Welcome to Sweden, the best music scene in the world in my opinion.
You can do that when the entire band, including the vocalist, is incredibly skilled musically.
True, but only problem with this is once they go on tour for 7 months. That's a lot of stress on that voice man. I agree, it's genius. But there are drawbacks.
Well, it's already been established that these guys kick some major ass, but let's give some recognition to the amazing sound engineer for his/her work here. Holy shit. Cleanest mix I've heard in a long time.
aaaaaaa I know
Sound engineer is God
sschafi1 sound engineer here and that was the most impressive thing about the song. That mix is god tier. they do love some Auto-Tune though, I'll tell you that!
Andrew Elias "Auto-Tune" doesn't fix GREATNESS!!!
Simon Petrén, a multi-talented musician, producer, engineer, and composer, did the mastering.
vocal range on 100, drummer's swing is crazy, the bass guitarist, holy shit!
i've never heard a fella hit a top Bb above top E before full voice ... jesus christ.. even Steve Perry could hit a G on a good day but Bb.. wow..
I saw them back in 2014... It was the best concert that I've ever been to. If any of y'all ever have the opportunity to see them live, take it.
litterally the best soul/funk/R&B/Gospel fusion group ever
+Lorenzo Rizzardi They are of curse one of the best fusion groups ever but in the past they didn't have that much options of sound. I think Return To Forever played as good if not even better they had the best musicians on any Instrument in the world listen to them :)

Aaron Weiglein true, theres a few bands better this was a bit of an exaggeration. I agree about Return To Forever
+Lorenzo Rizzardi holy fucking hell I just discovered them
+Aaron Weiglein I had never heard of Return to Forever until just now, but I know the individual artists. Now on to Spotify...
That bassist fucking hell
yes yes!!! i totally agree
Amen
👏👏👌👌
Who's still watching this awesome video??
I am !!!
Hello from 2021!
I am !! Today and everyday 💞💯🎶💯💞😍
Me, always hearing this song while I am running :)
Yo!
My ears have waited a long time for a treat like this.
Some fresh air in modern music, finally!!!
The bassist was a demon
Anthonie Hendrie Henrik Linder is da man! You should see him and Federico Malaman play together, they make one hell of a combo
Anthonie Hendri
Genial
Correction... demon lord
this is the perfect melt between amazing vocals and mario kart music.

Jazz? Pop? Techno? Dubstep? What is this thats making me dance?!? What is this amazing sound?
The thing making you dance? It's called Heart and Soul.
Pure groove
This is fusion.
Funk fusion ;)
+Felix Arifin yeah! The same reason of their laugh while playing. This sound is so good!
Is this even possible? Did I just listen to that?
Edward Scissorhands finally got real hands. And look at his playing! ;)
+zniesmaczony oh that was funny
Literally LMAO but Sooo True Tho
You guys have the greatest sound I've ever heard. It's like a mix of Gospel, Pop, & R&B.
And funk 🔥 💃🏻 😃
With a touch of jazz
That was fantastic!!! So nice seeing a band who can REALLY play!!
Chills running through my body when listening to Dirty loops! Incredible guys, I'm eagerly waiting for your second album :)
+Jean V Me too. Been a while (except for Coldplay) since I waited anxiously for an album.
6 years later, they released their second album.
Not heard a group possessing such a musical and technical level, such a control of harmonies and arrangements while creating this so brilliant mix of funk/fusion and pop melodies, since Gino Vannelli in the 70's-80's. From 1,57 to 2,13 it's simply to fall on the ass...
this drummer isn't flashy, but you can tell that he is really, really good becauase he makes excellent musical decisions and plays for the song.
He's a monster, hits solo licks ss fills but never let's his playing run against the music. His playing is beautiful.
preach
Everything about the production is amazing.
Those riffs though 😳
This is what the music industry and more importantly, we need. Incredibly tight, crisp and energetic. Talent like this is rare.
This music is just most entertaining. Funky, jazzy, groovy. The rhythm section alone is just phenomenal...
Homie the whole band is a rhythm section
Can't get enough of Dirty Loops, the musicianship is impeccable! Every time I listen I find something else to be impressed with
If Mick Jagger and Stevie Wonder had a prodigal son - that would be the killer vocalist right there
Sattam Deb Only Mike Jagger ain't funk & don't rime more like the prodigal son of Ray Charles, James Brown, Elvis Presley, Brian McKnight & late Micheal Jackson with his younger brothers Justin Timberlake & Bruno Mars leaving the Chosen, Jonah Nilsson as the promised Messiah. hahahaha
Sattam Deb Ikr????!!!!!
I just can't believe the level of musicianship you guys have!!! You are an absolute inspiration.
dirty loops is the lovechild of jazz and pop. phenomenal.
is it even possible do dislike this video? class
It would happen even if this was the best video in the world ( witch it is), its sad but its a tiny amount, and i believe they dislike out of jealousy
Yea it is, when people don't appreciate good music. It's unfortunate
It sounds like schizo music to me
They just put their laptop upside down to hit that like button once more :P

Misha sent me here too... I love this. I can't believe I have never heard it before with over a million views so now I must research and find out what this band is all about!

ur a pretty good singer
riceboy287 talkin' to me? thanks if so... if not... the dude in the video is killer...
His voice is so spine tingling. I literally get goosebumps listening to it. Glad I heard this song!
Wow... Pop seems to return to former glory. What a musical, complex, funky, jazzy beast of a song. Awesome harmonies, musicians who actually know how to play their instruments and a fantastic, clean and perfect mix. I really am impressed..! I'll tell everyone I know about you guys. You deserve recognition.
shame it didn't continue in this direction
Holy shit he sounds like Stevie Wonder with those high notes!
i was thinking the same thing. somebody did his homework!!
I thought the same thing as well
well, if you learn from somebody, why not from the best :-) and stevie is the best there is. You find his singing-style in almost every modern singer...

This is amazing! Musician to musician, I'm inspired! Dirty Loops is the truth! Sweden stand up!
How is this not at 1 million views yet? I listen to it 100 times a day!
This puts my faith back in young musicians! Stellar...loved it!
Awesome band. One of the BEST Band I've ever Seen on youtube

Each one of these musicians is an absolute MONSTER!!
They're skills make my jaw drop!
Simply amazing!
Then there's his voice!!! I mean COME ON!!!
These guys are going to be super-stars. The pop (whatever) sound with the scream'in hot jazz licks is an excellent combination.
Thats my prediction.
the best mixture and best vocals from a male I've ever heard in so long
This video is amazing still after so many years
The Riffs at 3:03 are amazing
Sorry Guys - can't stop watching this ...what a groove at 2:46-3:00. looking forward to the album.
I'm so impressed with this new wave of bands such as Dirty Loops, Knower and Snarky Puppy who are pushing music which is as far away from the usual chart shite as it gets. Yea they are! Have you heard of Pentatonix? They are dope... Check them out on RUclips.
Oh ok cool I haven't heard of them ima check them out.
How about a Pentatonix / Dirty Loops tour?? I know scotthoying of Pentatonix is a big fan of Dirty Loops. When I saw Pentatonix last year they even played Dirty Loops - Baby over the PA before the show.
Video isn't available in my country. I'm fairly certain I'm in the same country as you, Tim Stevenson
What a song. I'm late to the party
I love Dirty Loops and this is my favourite song ever! I love it! I wish they kept on as a band and released more music. They are one of my favourite bands of all time. Love from Norway

You are not 'normal', i love this...AWESOME!!!!!!!!
I find myself smiling duribg your songs for the sole reason that you're having so much fun playing your music and it's actually audible - You people are freaking geniuses!
すごいなこれ!めちゃくちゃうまい!!
This guy can RIFF
Adam Nejmaoui I KNOW RIGHT!
Ryland Johnson lot of strain though
Adam Nejmaoui yeah but he sang a high A, that's hard :D
Yup that is hard I know haha. But a trained tenor can mix that high. Who cares, it sounds amazing.
Adam Nejmaoui yeah
The key change in the bridge is so rad. Great job DL. Next CD on my to buy list.
懐かしい
音楽を改めて好きになった今歌も楽器の音も全てが美しくて何度も聞きたくなる名曲すぎる
大好き

Uummm! I was not expecting that! I'm just blown away right now!! The talent is crazy good!! Sang boy! Sang!
The singer is not whos the best you totally put too much into singing. The bassist is a beast and the drummers jazz playing on point very hard. Everybody sings these days but its hard to play like these 2

Three masters of their instruments! Amazing, just amazing!!!!!!
they are the sweetest guys in the world! Meeting them with my sister was the best day of my life!!!! Love you guys!! Keep on making music!!! You all inspired me so much!!!!!
THIS SONG IS A MASTERPIECE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Oh my! That is simple AWESOME!!!!
Finally I found prog pop. This is amazing.
This is my monthly must-watch video! Best overall collective feel, groove and soul!
If I hear this song, I want to stand up and just dance to it. They are so incredibly good, and what they play is so incredibly difficult ... Fresh wind in modern music. Keep going on, guys, and hold this great balance between virtuosity and "singable" quality!
Fusion is back!! BTW anyone else thinks this dude looks like a cross between Harry Connick Jr. and Mick Jagger?
wow, that's true. he looks like a mix of Harry and Mick.
0:32 .. - .. 1:07 ~~ 1:20 ;; - ;; 1:49 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ ___~~~~~ < 1:59 what a break ! 2:57 OMG what a break ...
A masterpiece.
Thank you !!!
Killer band!!
WOW! Talk About Talent...Great Vocals, Great Bass Playing, Great Drumming, Great Arrangement...You guys deserve to go far...
They are a new band that does it right! Top notch singing, an extremely competent drummer, a jazz tinged keyboard player and a bass player that's hard to put down. They have it all!
saw u guys support maroon 5 last night. totally amazing was blown away by u guys !!
Yeah perhaps. I know they are super talented just felt like it didnt work on the night and I couldn't see much movement up front of the stage.
Whoa. I do like it. Mad fuckin' players.
Whoa... indeed ! oO
I do find the singing a bit over the top. But if commercial radio was filled with bands like this, I'd gladly shut my mouth and enjoy the music.
Agree again...
I see what you mean, all these : "Oohhh... Aaaahhh... iiii... Yeahhh" ;-)
I gave an ear to their album "Loopified", there are 2 or 3 great songs like this one, but not enough (for me) to place the album on a "2014 albums playlist".
Nevertheless, lot of talent in this band and what a rhythmic section !!
I just figure it's better than any of the shit on the radio. I'll give the album a crack, I do like the funky jazzy shit real bad.
Fred C As a beginning man.
DIRTY LOOPSの中で これが イッチャン好きやな!!
きたーーー。ってな感じ。

Monika Bujak

Oh, oh, oh what. They just went somewhere in the stratosphere and returned ever so smoothly.
I don't usually like happy music, but wow the musicianship here is unreal, can't get enough. Amaranthe is probably to blame for me starting to like happy music.
AMAZED. GO DIRTY LOOPS!!!!!!!
