      I would say it's too strong.
      I'm level 310+
      It took me like 150 levels to get my sens to where it felt okay...😂
      I had to make it SO FAST, just to counter the slow down effect.
      I want to keep MAX aim assist, so I had to turn up my ADS sens enough to work against it... but now, if I slip off the aim assist bubble it's too fast, and makes a big error...
      But I do make it work. Just strafe and bunny hop and it's basically aimbot😂

    since you’re doing this i suggest setting up an excel(or anything similar) where you compare on and off aim assist sessions: for example you can do 1 session off and 1 on and then report all the data on the file, then 5 off and 1 on and so on. in this way you can actually see the difference without leaving it as a “i *feel* it’s better”.

      I played rainbow six siege for a while on Xbox. It doesn’t have aim assist. Because of this, the biggest group of “cheaters” weren’t actually hacking, they were just using adapters to play with mouse and keyboard. It truly is a huge advantage. AIM assist is required if a game is going to be cross platform.

      Aim assist is NOT a nessessity.
      Gyro aim is a thing. And has been for decades now. Only Xbox is behind several decades in controller technology. If they stepped their game up and finally build gyro sensors into their gamepads like everyone else we could do away with aim assist on all platforms.

      I think i'm above average, and have 2 decades of FPS under me. 1-2 kd depending on how much i play . Xdefiants aim assist is not too strong but it feels like it did get a bit stronger. A problem i had in COD and BF was either the aim assist fights against me when trying to aim on someone or it thinks im aiming at someone in the background and tries to assist my aim on them meanwhile the guy infront of me kills me. It's a problem i've only recently started having in Xdefiant. Im new on mnk, i give it a shot here and there. I do almost just as good, except using gadgets and movement is a weakness i have. Also one more thing to add, changing your settings will help, especially the ads multiplier. Im a slower guy i think, Horizontals 6 and Vertical is 5 with 102 fov, my multiplier sits around .75 - .85 depending on the game.

    I switched to PC only gaming with KB&M input for shooters about 3-4 years ago. Never turned back. I only whip out the controller when playing a more laid back game (story mode, single player games). I tried playing XDefiant with controller around beta time just to judge the aim assist strength and to me it wasn't as strong as I remembered CoD to be. Maybe that changed in updates since then but I thought it was pretty balanced.
    I would also love to know how big of a skill gap there would be if everybody used no aim assist and stopped cheating lol. I just find it more satisfying to get kills on KB&M because I can say that it was earned 100% by me. I can think of a few situations when I used to play CoD where I was dead to rights but the aim assist dragged my aim straight to a player lol

    Mouse and keyboard are king. Coming from someone that grew up on console there was a time i had a gaming laptop and i played much better on M&KB the pinpoint accuracy is unbeatable. People having issues with it or thinking controller aim assist is an unfair advantage just aren't as good as they think.

    • @rabbitnetwork7429
      @rabbitnetwork7429 17 дней назад +2

      That doesn't explain why the vast majority of COD and Apex pro players - and champs - use controllers. Yes, the raw pinpoint accuracy is higher and more consistant on mouse, but the gap is closed and negated with high aim assist games like COD and Apex - hence why controller is the preferred input amongst pros in these games.

    • @Cookingclover420
      @Cookingclover420 17 дней назад

      @@rabbitnetwork7429 Sure, but in tournaments they use keyboard and mouse most of the time because these "pro" players tend to play with a lot of adaptations to their controllers out in the wild.

      @@Cookingclover420 That's not correct. In Cod and Apex tournaments the vast majority are using controllers. Either way, how successful you're depends on the work put in, and with aim assist in games at present the gap between the two inputs is negligent. Each input has its advantages and disadvantages.

    TTK plays a role. For games with fast TTK, aim assist is less powerful than in games like Halo Infinite. It's a crutch in Halo and most players aren't actually very good.

    The AA is strong in this game, it may not be as strong as COD like the people who want to downplay AA in this game lol but its strong enough. Not a bad thing bc the whole game is made for controller. All the movement in the game it wouldn't be fun if controller players (the majority) couldnt keep up with all the crackhead movements.

  • @Lil_Lawzy
    @Lil_Lawzy 17 дней назад +3

    I don’t get why that when M&K dominates every other game, no one cares because it’s expected, but when Controller with aim assist starts to get a slight advantage in certain scenarios (even though a good M&K player will always beat a good Controller player), the entire M&K player base cry that aim assist needs to be nerfed?
    The thing is though, is aim assist isn’t even broken in XDefiant, there’s been more than a handful of times where aim assist has screwed me over when I’m shooting at someone and another enemy walks in front of the person I’m shooting at and then my aim assist makes me aim at the other guy and I get killed by the person I was originally fighting.

      Controller is king now. Especially in xdefiant, unless you are sniping. There is a reason you have to wait 3 to 4 times longer to find a match in xdefiant with M&K. Not because pc players are not playing. Because most of us use Controller on this game. In CoD or fortnite I can get away with M&K, with a slower playstyle. Controller is hands down better than M&K.

    It could for sure be 'softened'; and it definitely needs to be tweaked, as players passing behind the intended target drag aim input and it often locks on to them. I often turn aim assist off when practising against bots too. And sometimes I will play in pubs with it disabled also. I definitely do worse, but it's not like I am incompetent without it.
    Honestly, for myself, you can't beat the feel of playing on controller in terms of combining aiming with movement, and when you’re locked in it just feels so much better and more fluid to me.
    ruclips.net/video/A7BP6VFiLCQ/видео.html
    I think the sensitivity system is a bigger problem though. As the standard sense without the turn-boost is too dull, and having to rely on an applied boost at full input to obtain fast turn speeds restricts precision and feels janky. Xdefiant just doesn't stand up to games like COD and Apex for controller feel atm because of this.

    My only issue with the aim assist is it disengages when a player leaves the ground. I just want my aim assist to stay consistent against these jumpidy rabbits. I consider myself a slightly above average player. I'm pretty methodical. Usually 25 engagements per TDM I can win like 17+/-. I'm about a 1.8kd normally.

    I consider myself around your skill level, im XDef1ant, weve played before.
    Id say its a little strong.
    I had to turn my sens way up so that i could still control my aim in the aim assist bubble.
    I would do the -2 -2 settings but id rather keep max aim assist...
    Maybe just a tweak to how it works or something.
    Idk but the aim assist takes sum getting used to every time i hop on.
    In the first 150 levels it screwed me up soooo many times.
    I really had to balance my sensitivity around how strong the aim assist is, it slows me down so much and sticks me right off their body...
    So now i use a faster sens but if i slip off target, its a big mistake, and it happens fast...
    Prolly a skill issue😂

    I tried playing with a controller for 5 minutes so i dont know but i think like this : every small move of the mouse moves your aim, so how small or big can a controller input be before it moves the aim with aim assist on? If its more than what it takes to move the aim on the mouse, thats an advantage. Also, the way it locks on even when you re off the target, if that is whats happening, yeah, thats a big difference.
