The one major reason why I refused to buy Black ops 6 even though I have a month of Game pass that just came with a controller I bought, is that they HIDE enemy ping on the scoreboard... I already know because of their matchmaking that they will sacrifice connection in order to prioritize other things Anytime something feels really janky on xdefiant, I can usually look at the scoreboard and see the ping of the player and understand why the interaction with that particular person feels so off
Yea I must say XDefiant is in such a terrible state right now. If they don’t fix these problems soon and give us private matches, the game will die. As for the ranked side of things, I must say I did watch the top players q up for a match and it took them a literal hour to find a match. It’s so much that needs to be done with this game, hopefully the devs are extremely locked in before they lose all of their comp players and content creators
Yeah but them waiting that long for a game is because of the lack of players, specifically in ranked. And they can blame the devs all they want, but ultimately they contributed to the problem with ranked that we face now
Imo they shouldn't focus in ranked mode much, the grand minority play the mode, and it feels so far away from a "decent" state that you should just prioritize your efforts somewhere else. They should slowly improve it for long term, not now!
@NyteFalll think of battlefield (class roles) but worse. It's extremely P2W, and it's so insane that you can be 1-2 tapped by an SMG to the head. The game starts off casual but once you hit level 25,it's like a peasant being thrown into an arena with knights. Unless you have powerful gear,it's not really possible to have fun
They really should remarket the game to developing markets where a lot of people play pay-to-win games like Warface. PUBG did that and now they're consistently in the top 5 of Steam charts.
I think its because of the Halloween event, it was like a slap on the face for most players including me. I even found myself playing less after the 23rd since I felt bummed out. And then they topped it off by increasing weapon xp which chalked the camo grind for me, so I just find myself playing a few matches a day and calling it a day. Not to mention the match making time has increased and I am being put against full squads of level 200 players. Finding a player below level 100 as of November is so rare.
I haven’t played in a bit but I had a few players under lvl 100 on my team and we got stomped by a lvl 200 4-5 man like you mentioned it’s really dying out
This is why I don’t get in a rush to complete the camp grind, because it’s all there is to grind for at the moment. I’m really hoping they bring more content soon. Because no one is going to stick around at this rate.
Ubi has so many IPs, just take skins from the games of Factions that are in game. You don't need to design anything, just slap in on an existing gun. Siege has a ton of MP7, P90 and M4 skins. Then the Wales will come. Drop support on failed games like Skull and Bones and support games that can bring them money (we know it's all about the money). Ubi has a year to rebound, otherwise Tencent will be their new daddy and will have a lot more monetization in future games.

I just dont understand why everytime they touch the netcode it gets worse at this point the should just leave it alone and give up cause it isnt getting better anymore. I uninstalled this game I waited for the netcode updated and hoped it would fix the issues but instead they are worse. I am just tired of waiting for them to fix this game I gave them enough chances but I am done. Its a shame but well they just cant and wont ever get it right so no point to keep playing a game that will be dead in a few months.
I really wish Xdefiant can make a HUGE comeback. I still love this game but I agree after the Halloween event just made me realize that they don’t do shit to keep it alive and that’s why I’m in my cod phase. Until I hear some big announcement from Ubi about Xdefiant idk if I’ll touch it again
I've been playing bo6 recently. It's not perfect by any means and I hate the sweatfest it is and sbmm...however, it's not unplayable for me and the hitreg is way way way better than xdefiants. There's guns and skins and operators to grind for. Xdefiant slowed down the weapon camo xp because they know the ones who unlock every camo have time to do so and once completed, they don't want them being bored with nothing to grind for. But that move hurts players like me who have kids to raise and a full time damn job. I gave up. Un-installed Xdefiant a week ago and been playing cod. May not go back.
I once saw a video made by anti cheat developers saying that roughly 30% of people who play multiplayer shooters are cheating. Its getting to the point where even legit players are accused of cheating, which is actually nothing new if you played COD since the OG days lol. But yea, I really hope this game does not go down due to the game not being able to overcome its obstacles. If season 3 is similar to seasons 1 and 2 in terms of content and no progress elsewhere, then we have to worry about the game surviving. There are days when I really wish I was a fly on the wall behind the scenes of what is going on with this game. Makes me wish I was a billionaire so I could buy the rights to the game from Ubisoft, expand the dev team with the right people for every position, and load the game up with content and solve all the issues the game currently has. Ok, now its time to wake up from that dream.
Well, the game did improve a lot since release and season 2 was a lot better than 1. Xdefiant not going anymore.....and as far as the players they're losing, that was almost certain to happen considering we're in the honeymoon phase of a new COD game, which usually lasts about a month or less then they'll be right back to Xdefiant which will more than likely continue the trend and outdo season 2 in season 3
My friend went on vacation to Colombia the day bo6 came out, I told him man i`ll wait and we will do a road to commander when you get back, I got on xdefiant after two matches i quit man than i downloaded bo6(L friend i know) and just played bo6 solo, some desync but not every match and not happening in every gunfight maybe 2-3 a match every 10 matches and i just played in silence everything was zen. Xdefiant can never give me this inner peace.

I put about 20 hours in bo6 last weekend and then came back to xdefiant. Besides the shit hit reg and lack of content. I prefer the movement, gunplay and maps in xdefiant more. It's sad that this game is not getting the support it deserves. I still have hope though.
My buddy left his typical XD and Cold War HC mode gaming for BO6. Came back to XD 6 days later lmao said BO6 is too laggy, campy, hitreg issues, spawns, and of course the god awful maps He was never as “in” on XD as me either

Not played for a few weeks now. It's become both boring and annoying. 1. Lobbies being disbanded after a game. Then you have to start the whole process of searching again. 2. When you get into a lobby people quit within a few seconds because it doesn't start the map straight away. This lengthens the process of finding games. 3. I kept bumping into the same people every single day. Which means a low player count. 4. Hitreg is way off. I can unload a full clip into someone and nothing, we both have virtually the same ping. 5. Net code was still off for me most of the time. I was getting killed round corners. 6. Dumb players who will join a game and won't help with capturing an objective. They just run around and are only after kills. These are some high level players as well so should know how to play.
I havent touched the game since they broke the audio at the start of S2. Multiple updates later it doesnt seem to have been addressed. And every week that passes, my resentment toward the dev team grows cause I miss playing this. It actually used to be fun

Sometimes when I fire all 6 saw launchers I will get kicked from the game. This forces me only to fire 5 then end ult as I don’t want to get kicked. Anyone else have this issue? Very annoying bug for highwaymen

TBH XDefiant is the only FPS I play & I've been so frustrated with the netcode/hit reg issues and then guys going 50+/5 & have xray vision it seems (if you are that good I take the beating I get & try to improve) - here in South Africa our matchmaking has been so trash recently, wait forever for a match & at times I get tossed into an EU lobby with 195 ping where I see to still get a positive KD it's just weird... I Ubisoft also gave us the option to choose a server even if it has a higher ping so that we could get more matches
In terms of content I think if it's ready they should just release the rest of the year 1 content just for go the seasonal releases and just drop all the content at once for year 1 at least (from what I heard all of year 1 content is pretty much ready). But hey it may be more complex then what I'm saying idk about anything about releasing stuff for games.
I'm sure it has to go through testing and make sure it doesn't break the game. Plus doing that and then not getting anything else for the next 6-8 months would be insufferable after about 3 months
What killed XD for me was the servers...I'm in Europe and i was being put into American servers just because....The launch state of the game was horrendous. The closest servers to me are Spain servers, i know they exists because that's where i'd end up whenever i wasn't being sent to American servers and occasionally to German servers. THe game was barely playable. I got 2 guns to gold before they upped the XP for everyone and i decided i couldn't deal with it anymore. Even the Firing Range was laggy... Then i see streamers with 0 issues, 0 lag, 0 hit reg issues and i'm like... bro how? I remember when i started playing MP fps games back with CoD Ghosts on my PS3 and i had no crazy issue like this.... occasionally i'd be playing with Brazillian players which would obviously make things laggy but even then i could still have a match that felt better than whatever XD does and whatever the last couple CoD games have done. The desync in FPS games is so noticeable now to the naked eye.
@NyteFalll Rarely happens to me tbh. Trades happened a lot to me early season 2 but not anymore. MAYBE 1 a match. RARELY die behind a wall now too. Probably once every three or four matches. Sounds like you hate the game and should move on tbh
The fact that people actually believed washed up controller “pros” teamed up with Ubisoft would make an old school cod like game and not mess it up is actually super depressing.
Main thing for ranked which I stated when they announced it are the lobbies. You should not be able to play ranks +/- 10 ranks from your current rank. This reminds me of the exploit from Apex legends where Preds got into Bronze lobbies which resulted in me quitting. As for community wise, The XDefiant Community is pretty solid from the people I met like Scotty and Zii. Idk about the competitive ranked side though. Most of us are just trying to have a good time but its hard to constantly thinking of creative fun ways that could be in the game. Lastly I will say, many of us wanted to wait until XDefiant had fixed their netcode before release but we lost to the high demand. This is why I can wait years for a game to release so things like this dont happen
The issue with the ranked things is it seemed fine when it first came out, at least from the point your saying. They only expanded the people you can play with because there were no games to be played in the higher ranks. And those people smurfing made it even worse
@@NyteFalll With the placement I think it needs to be toned down because even Silver , playing against Bronze feels cheap to easily get your rank up quick. All Im saying is that I they can do better with the ranked placement matches. Legends with legends or 9/10 Diamond
Another top vid first of all and I have to say I’m nearly 500 hours into the game and the lack of content is draining but can forgive that being a new game netcode is annoying but was never going to be fixed overnight the main worrying thing for me is as you said the partnerships and support a content creator non of them play and support the game scary how quiet it’s all gone by mark rubin too was so vocal now it’s gone too yeah games not dying got plans for season 4 ext but if there isn’t any change in content in improving the store netcode ext there won’t be anyone around to see season 4 huge shame top game still has so much potential but not sure if will ever reach it now
I honestly just quit FPS games as a whole. I really liked this game and was pretty good at it, but realized these games just stress me out. Carrying less skilled players who have no interest in playing obj is just too much. I work a full time job, and the last thing I want to do is work on my off time.
I didn’t hate the game, but the slower TTK was a dealbreaker for me and made me drop the game. Everyone felt too spongy in gunfights, could be very attributable to netcode like mentioned but I never struggled to take enemies out in Call of Duty quite like I did in Xdefiant.

I believe it'll come around. Not trying to be an apologist but in fairness the game is fundamentally broken so they have a lot of changes to make. A lot of that is also likely the fault of Ubisoft higher ups and a few bad actors (according to Tom Henderson anyways). The changes in question include basically reworking the whole netcode (which is a daunting task on its own), adding new features, reworking how they do cosmetics, improving weapon and faction balance, fixing the sound (I guess?) and a whole litany of things that they have communicated to be in development. It's a lot of stuff but I think there's a good chance it'll happen in time. The finals had a similar situation and now the game is in a pretty great state and getting better each update. Once they've implemented the changes it's only a matter of time before players return. Not the first or last time a game will go through this cycle of having good bones and just needing time to be built on.
One note to consider about "skill based damage" is that Activision has patents on the game that will increase or decrease your ping in order to try and manipulate your gameplay so that the lobby has around a 1kd. They have some other crazy patents that dive deeper into that whole eomm shpeal but that's for another discussion.
Yeah no doubt activision is scummy, but if XDefiant players called hit reg issues skill based damage 3 months ago the CoD community would have had a field day lol
i've been having a hard time finding matches. Queueing Escort takes MINUTES to find a game. i've messed around with crossplay on/off and input-based but to no avail
Sad to hear the netcode fix wasn't universal this time either. For me, it makes a lot more sense now. 40 ping is crisp. Every shot hits. 120+ hit reg starts to get weird. That's how things should work.

@NyteFalll Until they add console only cross play I won't be turning that on. Used to find matches just fine until about 2 months ago. I doubt it's a server issue. I'm NA and play plenty of online multiplayer on populated games

i havnt noticed any difference with the net code. sometimes when i log on i find that the smg is that bad i might as well throw it at them but an ar slaps but the next day both an ar and smg are crap but an lmg slaps and yesterday i used the sniper and i had bullets going straight through ppl , they were standing still and it should of been a free kill but nope , as for the mk20 most of the bullets dont register it took me 5 shots to get a kill again all shots were on target. pretty much every lobby has at least one player bouncing multiple times and not getting any sway and not missing a shot and i often see blatant cheating and i know of a full clan / team that are cheating and i report them everytime i see them and i have for months and yet nothing has happened. as for the saw blades i have ran down the side paths in arena with saw blades bouncing all over the place and i dont take any damage let alone getting killed , so i pretty much ignore them now so its always a surprise when one actually kills me !. you know something is happening when it takes you longer and longer to find a game and its the same players , all the channels like jbowen can pump the game as much as they want but the evidence is there in long search times and getting thrown into ongoing games and one side is getting a good kicking 138-413 or something so you leave straight away only for it to put you into the same game 3 or 4 times.
The game died the first week on release cause of Mickey Clover content season one and two gave. Just like The Finals that gives no content and balances changes. I dropped the game the moment the s1 roadmap was released lmao. We need triple content minimum, but yall literally keep the game alive for no reason.
I play on African Servers. It takes 10 min to find a game everytime you search. The server's are dead asf recently. We only get 3v3 games and before that we had to wait for a TeamDeath Match. Theres no way for us to play ranked because there's no lobbies.
As someone who was playing it every day and is level 179, I haven't been playing the past week because it has gotten a bit boring. I think I've identified 3 reasons that at least for me combine to make the game not as fun as it could be. Reason #1: Lobbies still disband after every match. Why!? Let me make enemies of people, and friends of others. I'm sick of them not fixing this and instead just having you play against different people every time for no reason. Actually makes me mad, because part of the promise of no rigged matchmaking is no disbanding lobbies either, because that's a rigged matchmaking thing. Reason #2: People constantly leaving all the time. The winning team of many matches is decided by which team has less people leave. I've never seen a game where people leave mid match so frequently. Something has to be done. They should start with small punishment, like you can't matchmake for 5 minutes if you leave 3 matches in the last 30 minutes. Something like that would go a long way. Reason 3: The gunplay is boring and outdated. The guns all feel like guns from Cod 4. That's not a bad thing, but they feel boring when put in a modern game. The way the guns look, feel, and play are all so boring. MW19 has the best gunplay I've ever seen. Look at the way guns feel in that game compared to guns in this game. It results in kills not really feeling that good or significant. Those are the 3 biggest reasons for me of why I'm getting bored of the game, and why maybe other people are moving on too.
lobbies disband cause a lot of people play with a custom playlist, I like to go through occupy, domination, and tdm I don’t really care about playing with the same people that “punishment” for leaving games is stupid if people rage quit that’s on them and why would you even compare this game to cod this feels way better than any cod game
So disbanding lobbies, I'm still not following how this contributes to rigged matchmaking. I don't think it's rigged at all. The leaving is annoying for sure and I agree, even in pubs, punishments need to be implemented. Most other games do this, because it ruins the experience for others. But your Reason 3 makes no sense to me. What makes the gunplay boring or outdated? You say they feel like guns from CoD 4 but then say it's not a bad thing. I'm just confused as to what you mean by this most guns in every game sort of feel the same to me.
@NyteFalll I'm not saying that matchmaking is rigged in XD, of course it's not. But disbanding lobbies is a symptom of rigged matchmaking. Take COD for example. The lobbies disband so that the casino matchmaking can put you in the match it wants you to be in, because it determines whether it wants you to win or lose the next match and then puts you in the lobby that it thinks will best achieve that goal. Obviously, if the lobbies never disbanded like how it used to be, the matchmaking couldn't really be rigged. So they have to disband. That's why lobbies disband in COD nowadays, and that's also why there's no server browser. XD has no reason to disband the lobbies, so the decision to disband them anyways is baffling. Even if you don't care about disbanding lobbies, the amount of time it steals from your life by having to find a new lobby after every match adds up and wastes so much time, when you could just be playing the game. And for the guns, they feel outdated is what I'm trying to say. They did the bare minimum when it comes to making the guns work. You'd think that the guns in a 2024 game would feel better than guns from a 2007 game, but nope. Any other modern shooter has better feeling guns than XDefiant, in terms of how they feel, look, animate, sound, everything. The guns in a fps game are super important, and if they feel unremarkable or boring, that's a huge issue for the game. Many fps games have iconic guns, like COD 4 with the M16A4, CS:GO with the AWP, Halo with any of its weapons. No one is going to be remembering guns from XDefiant in 20 years, even the game's biggest fans.
My biggest frustration with the devs is I can't understand their reasoning on most decisions. I would have rather had Highwaymen have a different passive instead of them nerfing the RF barrel and the ACR and AK the way they did. Abilities still feel in a bad spot to me as the game devolves into nothing but turret, firebomb, or hijack. I took a break from the game and spent some time with Metaphor Refantazio and have started a replay of Persona 4. I swear Ubisoft seems committed to snag defeat from the Jaws of victory.
They just need to add another grind, keep Rockefeller and arena 24/7 and make the level grind attainable without double xp weekend. I noticed that games are easier to find during double xp because that’s the only time people are really playong
They should really add a game mode where you can play against bots and inexperienced players like myself, how black ops 2 had it “Boot Camp” I am relatively new to xDefiance but my lobbies are filled with sweats or high level players and I’m barely level 27 playing against people that are 50-200+, I played before with cross play and was running into a lot of cheaters who either used aimbot or walls, I turned that off and my lobbies are super sweat or mildly sweat either way the game is absolutely trash when it comes to match making…
I was new to this game,matched against players who are above lvl 30 generally and it made my day worse. Even after playing it for 2 days, I saw no improvement and I’m not having fun. The game wouldn’t tell me shit, which made me completely hopeless. I am new to multiplayer fps games and it made me hate it.
So let me try to shed some light on it. Level 30 is nothing. And overall level doesn't really mean much. But this game has no SBMM so you can match with anyone and everyone. Unless you stay in the welcome playlist which you can play until your past level 40. Then you will play with and against similar skill players below level 40
true true. I did leave the game for a bit myself and came back recently. I will say I do have longer queue times at certain times of day, but most of the time it’s pretty quick. I’m on Washington DC servers.
First I'll start by saying I love the game. However, it seriously lacks a progression system, weapon leveling is mobile game level slow and the content is dry with seasons that last an eternity. Bring in more attachments, earnable content, PvE (hordes of rabbids is a no brainer) and release the years future content in an expedited manner to draw a player base back into the lobbies. Get the net code up to snuff and voila, you have a game that will last a year.
you act like 35 minutes is terrible when CoD makes you download a whole dam suite of unnecessary things. And the hit reg or as the weirdos call it, skill based damage, isn't any better on CoD
I'd really love to like this game but I just can't. It's not because its a bad game, its because I can't play it. Between taking upwards of 10-15 minutes to get into a match (yes I have crossplay on and input based matchmaking off) and the (still) poor netcode its not enjoyable anymore. Tonight for example I played 3 matches in an hour; thats terrible. For some reason it never used to be like this. I don't know if its because of lack or players or what but if it is thats not a good sign.

Hit reg in xDefiant is way worse then COD tbh. I loved xDefiant and I was grinding that game for months there’s just things missing from it. You can’t throw a game like this out into the public without more content people are going to play it, then go grind call of duty because there is something to play for. xDefiant is a a good cup with not a lot of water in it.

Delta Force to me seemed very involved, like there is way too much going on in the UI and menus and I had no clue how to navigate. Not saying I couldn't learn, but UI is supposed to be new user friendly

Honestly there is tones of shit that is wrong with the game keep in Mind I lile XDefiant but its not really something I want to play over other shooters. I am going to be honest even if they fix some of these problems they need something unique to XDefiant to pull a playerbase.
The cheating in this game is honestly just as bad as CS2 is right now. Just running scripts alone is bad enough. Pay attention to your kill feed and watch for players instantly emoting after you kill them. This isn’t because they wanted to emote. It’s because they are running scripts and it does it for them. People with no recoil, no flinch, no jump spam penalty, and seemingly perfect aim isn’t a skill difference. Not to mention color bots and wallhacks. Or even the people that can quite literally fly across the map . The lobbies are already hard to find so why be the absolute degenerate who ruins it even further. This isn’t just a problem for xdefiant. But something has to be done if any of these games want to hold any competitive integrity.

Imo they shouldn't focus in ranked mode much, the grand minority play the mode, and it feels so far away from a "decent" state that you should just prioritize your efforts somewhere else. They should slowly improve it for long term, not now!

The game starts off casual but once you hit level 25,it's like a peasant being thrown into an arena with knights. Unless you have powerful gear,it's not really possible to have fun

I think its because of the Halloween event, it was like a slap on the face for most players including me. I even found myself playing less after the 23rd since I felt bummed out. And then they topped it off by increasing weapon xp which chalked the camo grind for me, so I just find myself playing a few matches a day and calling it a day. Not to mention the match making time has increased and I am being put against full squads of level 200 players. Finding a player below level 100 as of November is so rare.

Ubi has so many IPs, just take skins from the games of Factions that are in game. You don't need to design anything, just slap in on an existing gun. Siege has a ton of MP7, P90 and M4 skins. Then the Wales will come.
Drop support on failed games like Skull and Bones and support games that can bring them money (we know it's all about the money).
Ubi has a year to rebound, otherwise Tencent will be their new daddy and will have a lot more monetization in future games.

I just dont understand why everytime they touch the netcode it gets worse at this point the should just leave it alone and give up cause it isnt getting better anymore. I've been playing bo6 recently. It's not perfect by any means and I hate the sweatfest it is and sbmm...however, it's not unplayable for me and the hitreg is way way way better than xdefiants. There's guns and skins and operators to grind for. Xdefiant slowed down the weapon camo xp because they know the ones who unlock every camo have time to do so and once completed, they don't want them being bored with nothing to grind for. But that move hurts players like me who have kids to raise and a full time damn job. I gave up. Un-installed Xdefiant a week ago and been playing cod. May not go back.
I once saw a video made by anti cheat developers saying that roughly 30% of people who play multiplayer shooters are cheating. Its getting to the point where even legit players are accused of cheating, which is actually nothing new if you played COD since the OG days lol. But yea, I really hope this game does not go down due to the game not being able to overcome its obstacles. If season 3 is similar to seasons 1 and 2 in terms of content and no progress elsewhere, then we have to worry about the game surviving. There are days when I really wish I was a fly on the wall behind the scenes of what is going on with this game. Makes me wish I was a billionaire so I could buy the rights to the game from Ubisoft, expand the dev team with the right people for every position, and load the game up with content and solve all the issues the game currently has. Ok, now its time to wake up from that dream.

Well, the game did improve a lot since release and season 2 was a lot better than 1. Xdefiant not going anymore.....and as far as the players they're losing, that was almost certain to happen considering we're in the honeymoon phase of a new COD game, which usually lasts about a month or less then they'll be right back to Xdefiant which will more than likely continue the trend and outdo season 2 in season 3
Not to hate on Bo6 though; I haven't played it yet, but their zombies mode looks lit AF. I'll more than likely end up playing both games TBH

My friend went on vacation to Colombia the day bo6 came out, I told him man i`ll wait and we will do a road to commander when you get back, I got on xdefiant after two matches i quit man than i downloaded bo6(L friend i know) and just played bo6 solo, some desync but not every match and not happening in every gunfight maybe 2-3 a match every 10 matches and i just played in silence everything was zen. Xdefiant can never give me this inner peace.

I put about 20 hours in bo6 last weekend and then came back to xdefiant. Besides the shit hit reg and lack of content. I prefer the movement, gunplay and maps in xdefiant more. It's sad that this game is not getting the support it deserves. I still have hope though.

Not played for a few weeks now. It's become both boring and annoying.
1. Lobbies being disbanded after a game. Then you have to start the whole process of searching again.
2. When you get into a lobby people quit within a few seconds because it doesn't start the map straight away. This lengthens the process of finding games.
3. I kept bumping into the same people every single day. Which means a low player count.
4. Hitreg is way off. I can unload a full clip into someone and nothing, we both have virtually the same ping.
5. Net code was still off for me most of the time. I was getting killed round corners.
6. Dumb players who will join a game and won't help with capturing an objective. They just run around and are only after kills. These are some high level players as well so should know how to play.

I havent touched the game since they broke the audio at the start of S2. Multiple updates later it doesnt seem to have been addressed. And every week that passes, my resentment toward the dev team grows cause I miss playing this. It actually used to be fun

TBH XDefiant is the only FPS I play & I've been so frustrated with the netcode/hit reg issues and then guys going 50+/5 & have xray vision it seems (if you are that good I take the beating I get & try to improve) - here in South Africa our matchmaking has been so trash recently, wait forever for a match & at times I get tossed into an EU lobby with 195 ping where I see to still get a positive KD it's just weird... I Ubisoft also gave us the option to choose a server even if it has a higher ping so that we could get more matches

In terms of content I think if it's ready they should just release the rest of the year 1 content just for go the seasonal releases and just drop all the content at once for year 1 at least (from what I heard all of year 1 content is pretty much ready). But hey it may be more complex then what I'm saying idk about anything about releasing stuff for games.
I'm sure it has to go through testing and make sure it doesn't break the game. Plus doing that and then not getting anything else for the next 6-8 months would be insufferable after about 3 months
What killed XD for me was the servers...I'm in Europe and i was being put into American servers just because....The launch state of the game was horrendous. The closest servers to me are Spain servers, i know they exists because that's where i'd end up whenever i wasn't being sent to American servers and occasionally to German servers. THe game was barely playable. I got 2 guns to gold before they upped the XP for everyone and i decided i couldn't deal with it anymore. Even the Firing Range was laggy...
Then i see streamers with 0 issues, 0 lag, 0 hit reg issues and i'm like... bro how? I remember when i started playing MP fps games back with CoD Ghosts on my PS3 and i had no crazy issue like this.... occasionally i'd be playing with Brazillian players which would obviously make things laggy but even then i could still have a match that felt better than whatever XD does and whatever the last couple CoD games have done. The desync in FPS games is so noticeable now to the naked eye.
All I want is private matches and lower prices in the store due to how 💩 the cosmetics are

Main thing for ranked which I stated when they announced it are the lobbies. You should not be able to play ranks +/- 10 ranks from your current rank. This reminds me of the exploit from Apex legends where Preds got into Bronze lobbies which resulted in me quitting. As for community wise, The XDefiant Community is pretty solid from the people I met like Scotty and Zii. Idk about the competitive ranked side though. Most of us are just trying to have a good time but its hard to constantly thinking of creative fun ways that could be in the game. Lastly I will say, many of us wanted to wait until XDefiant had fixed their netcode before release but we lost to the high demand. This is why I can wait years for a game to release so things like this dont happen
The issue with the ranked things is it seemed fine when it first came out, at least from the point your saying. They only expanded the people you can play with because there were no games to be played in the higher ranks. And those people smurfing made it even worse

Another top vid first of all and I have to say I’m nearly 500 hours into the game and the lack of content is draining but can forgive that being a new game netcode is annoying but was never going to be fixed overnight the main worrying thing for me is as you said the partnerships and support a content creator non of them play and support the game scary how quiet it’s all gone by mark rubin too was so vocal now it’s gone too yeah games not dying got plans for season 4 ext but if there isn’t any change in content in improving the store netcode ext there won’t be anyone around to see season 4 huge shame top game still has so much potential but not sure if will ever reach it now

I honestly just quit FPS games as a whole. I really liked this game and was pretty good at it, but realized these games just stress me out. Carrying less skilled players who have no interest in playing obj is just too much. I work a full time job, and the last thing I want to do is work on my off time.
I didn’t hate the game, but the slower TTK was a dealbreaker for me and made me drop the game. Everyone felt too spongy in gunfights, could be very attributable to netcode like mentioned but I never struggled to take enemies out in Call of Duty quite like I did in Xdefiant.

I believe it'll come around. Not trying to be an apologist but in fairness the game is fundamentally broken so they have a lot of changes to make. A lot of that is also likely the fault of Ubisoft higher ups and a few bad actors (according to Tom Henderson anyways). The changes in question include basically reworking the whole netcode (which is a daunting task on its own), adding new features, reworking how they do cosmetics, improving weapon and faction balance, fixing the sound (I guess?) and a whole litany of things that they have communicated to be in development. It's a lot of stuff but I think there's a good chance it'll happen in time. The finals had a similar situation and now the game is in a pretty great state and getting better each update. Once they've implemented the changes it's only a matter of time before players return. Not the first or last time a game will go through this cycle of having good bones and just needing time to be built on.
One note to consider about "skill based damage" is that Activision has patents on the game that will increase or decrease your ping in order to try and manipulate your gameplay so that the lobby has around a 1kd. They have some other crazy patents that dive deeper into that whole eomm shpeal but that's for another discussion.
Yeah no doubt activision is scummy, but if XDefiant players called hit reg issues skill based damage 3 months ago the CoD community would have had a field day lol

i've been having a hard time finding matches. Queueing Escort takes MINUTES to find a game. i've messed around with crossplay on/off and input-based but to no avail

i havnt noticed any difference with the net code.
sometimes when i log on i find that the smg is that bad i might as well throw it at them but an ar slaps but the next day both an ar and smg are crap but an lmg slaps and yesterday i used the sniper and i had bullets going straight through ppl , they were standing still and it should of been a free kill but nope , as for the mk20 most of the bullets dont register it took me 5 shots to get a kill again all shots were on target.
pretty much every lobby has at least one player bouncing multiple times and not getting any sway and not missing a shot and i often see blatant cheating and i know of a full clan / team that are cheating and i report them everytime i see them and i have for months and yet nothing has happened.
as for the saw blades i have ran down the side paths in arena with saw blades bouncing all over the place and i dont take any damage let alone getting killed , so i pretty much ignore them now so its always a surprise when one actually kills me !.
you know something is happening when it takes you longer and longer to find a game and its the same players , all the channels like jbowen can pump the game as much as they want but the evidence is there in long search times and getting thrown into ongoing games and one side is getting a good kicking 138-413 or something so you leave straight away only for it to put you into the same game 3 or 4 times.
The game died the first week on release cause of Mickey Clover content season one and two gave. Just like The Finals that gives no content and balances changes. I dropped the game the moment the s1 roadmap was released lmao. We need triple content minimum, but yall literally keep the game alive for no reason.

I play on African Servers. It takes 10 min to find a game everytime you search. The server's are dead asf recently. We only get 3v3 games and before that we had to wait for a TeamDeath Match. Theres no way for us to play ranked because there's no lobbies.
I completely agree that the hit reg is bad at the moment. I stopped playing cod and tried xdefiant in the hope the netcode is better but sadly not.

As someone who was playing it every day and is level 179, I haven't been playing the past week because it has gotten a bit boring. I think I've identified 3 reasons that at least for me combine to make the game not as fun as it could be.
Reason #1: Lobbies still disband after every match. Why!? Let me make enemies of people, and friends of others. I'm sick of them not fixing this and instead just having you play against different people every time for no reason. Actually makes me mad, because part of the promise of no rigged matchmaking is no disbanding lobbies either, because that's a rigged matchmaking thing.
Reason #2: People constantly leaving all the time. The winning team of many matches is decided by which team has less people leave. I've never seen a game where people leave mid match so frequently. Something has to be done. They should start with small punishment, like you can't matchmake for 5 minutes if you leave 3 matches in the last 30 minutes. Something like that would go a long way.
Reason 3: The gunplay is boring and outdated. The guns all feel like guns from Cod 4. That's not a bad thing, but they feel boring when put in a modern game. The way the guns look, feel, and play are all so boring. MW19 has the best gunplay I've ever seen. Look at the way guns feel in that game compared to guns in this game. It results in kills not really feeling that good or significant.
Those are the 3 biggest reasons for me of why I'm getting bored of the game, and why maybe other people are moving on too.
lobbies disband cause a lot of people play with a custom playlist, I like to go through occupy, domination, and tdm I don’t really care about playing with the same people that “punishment” for leaving games is stupid if people rage quit that’s on them and why would you even compare this game to cod this feels way better than any cod game
So disbanding lobbies, I'm still not following how this contributes to rigged matchmaking. I don't think it's rigged at all. The leaving is annoying for sure and I agree, even in pubs, punishments need to be implemented. Most other games do this, because it ruins the experience for others. But your Reason 3 makes no sense to me. What makes the gunplay boring or outdated? You say they feel like guns from CoD 4 but then say it's not a bad thing. I'm just confused as to what you mean by this most guns in every game sort of feel the same to me.
@NyteFalll I'm not saying that matchmaking is rigged in XD, of course it's not. But disbanding lobbies is a symptom of rigged matchmaking. Take COD for example. The lobbies disband so that the casino matchmaking can put you in the match it wants you to be in, because it determines whether it wants you to win or lose the next match and then puts you in the lobby that it thinks will best achieve that goal. Obviously, if the lobbies never disbanded like how it used to be, the matchmaking couldn't really be rigged. So they have to disband. That's why lobbies disband in COD nowadays, and that's also why there's no server browser. XD has no reason to disband the lobbies, so the decision to disband them anyways is baffling. Even if you don't care about disbanding lobbies, the amount of time it steals from your life by having to find a new lobby after every match adds up and wastes so much time, when you could just be playing the game. And for the guns, they feel outdated is what I'm trying to say. They did the bare minimum when it comes to making the guns work. You'd think that the guns in a 2024 game would feel better than guns from a 2007 game, but nope. Any other modern shooter has better feeling guns than XDefiant, in terms of how they feel, look, animate, sound, everything. The guns in a fps game are super important, and if they feel unremarkable or boring, that's a huge issue for the game. Many fps games have iconic guns, like COD 4 with the M16A4, CS:GO with the AWP, Halo with any of its weapons. No one is going to be remembering guns from XDefiant in 20 years, even the game's biggest fans.

My biggest frustration with the devs is I can't understand their reasoning on most decisions. I would have rather had Highwaymen have a different passive instead of them nerfing the RF barrel and the ACR and AK the way they did. Abilities still feel in a bad spot to me as the game devolves into nothing but turret, firebomb, or hijack.
I took a break from the game and spent some time with Metaphor Refantazio and have started a replay of Persona 4. I swear Ubisoft seems committed to snag defeat from the Jaws of victory.

They should really add a game mode where you can play against bots and inexperienced players like myself, how black ops 2 had it “Boot Camp” I am relatively new to xDefiance but my lobbies are filled with sweats or high level players and I’m barely level 27 playing against people that are 50-200+, I played before with cross play and was running into a lot of cheaters who either used aimbot or walls, I turned that off and my lobbies are super sweat or mildly sweat either way the game is absolutely trash when it comes to match making…

I was new to this game,matched against players who are above lvl 30 generally and it made my day worse. Even after playing it for 2 days, I saw no improvement and I’m not having fun. The game wouldn’t tell me shit, which made me completely hopeless. I am new to multiplayer fps games and it made me hate it.
So let me try to shed some light on it. Level 30 is nothing. And overall level doesn't really mean much. But this game has no SBMM so you can match with anyone and everyone. Unless you stay in the welcome playlist which you can play until your past level 40. Then you will play with and against similar skill players below level 40
Game has tons of players on it right now. I find games in like 5 sec or less
Now yes, this video is old and before they added private matches. Seems to have brought more people back
true true. I did leave the game for a bit myself and came back recently. I will say I do have longer queue times at certain times of day, but most of the time it’s pretty quick. I’m on Washington DC servers.
Try going out for a night and doing something apart from gaming for a change.

You can literally apply that logic to any game though not that it’s incorrect just saying.
First I'll start by saying I love the game. However, it seriously lacks a progression system, weapon leveling is mobile game level slow and the content is dry with seasons that last an eternity.
Bring in more attachments, earnable content, PvE (hordes of rabbids is a no brainer) and release the years future content in an expedited manner to draw a player base back into the lobbies.
Get the net code up to snuff and voila, you have a game that will last a year.
The goal is not to last a year though, it's to last many years

you act like 35 minutes is terrible when CoD makes you download a whole dam suite of unnecessary things. And the hit reg or as the weirdos call it, skill based damage, isn't any better on CoD
I'd really love to like this game but I just can't. It's not because its a bad game, its because I can't play it. Between taking upwards of 10-15 minutes to get into a match (yes I have crossplay on and input based matchmaking off) and the (still) poor netcode its not enjoyable anymore. Tonight for example I played 3 matches in an hour; thats terrible. For some reason it never used to be like this. I don't know if its because of lack or players or what but if it is thats not a good sign.
ranked should have the same system as CS and Apex - 10 matches to guess your rank.

I think they lost faith after the buzz around blackops 6. ..maybe Mark was confident but without a strong backup it's over Ubisoft doesn't have faith in this game when there Ubisoft connect monopoly failed ..

Hit reg in xDefiant is way worse then COD tbh. I loved xDefiant and I was grinding that game for months there’s just things missing from it. You can’t throw a game like this out into the public without more content people are going to play it, then go grind call of duty because there is something to play for. xDefiant is a a good cup with not a lot of water in it.

You would think that developers would capitalize on the shortcomings of black ops six and before Delta force is launching next month. There’s nothing more to talk about with this game, which is unfortunate. The content is limited and I just got bored very quickly. I recently went back and played this yesterday just to experience the improved net code. There was nothing improved at least from my perspective.
Delta Force to me seemed very involved, like there is way too much going on in the UI and menus and I had no clue how to navigate. Not saying I couldn't learn, but UI is supposed to be new user friendly
Black ops 6 has zero shortcomings compared to xdefiant it’s really high time people admit it.
This is honestly the best game out atm. It's a great genuine fps shooter.
To me it's just overall fun to play, I just wish my friends felt the same way and wanted to play it and grind it

Honestly there is tones of shit that is wrong with the game keep in Mind I lile XDefiant but its not really something I want to play over other shooters. I am going to be honest even if they fix some of these problems they need something unique to XDefiant to pull a playerbase.

The cheating in this game is honestly just as bad as CS2 is right now. Just running scripts alone is bad enough. Pay attention to your kill feed and watch for players instantly emoting after you kill them. This isn’t because they wanted to emote. It’s because they are running scripts and it does it for them. People with no recoil, no flinch, no jump spam penalty, and seemingly perfect aim isn’t a skill difference. Not to mention color bots and wallhacks. Or even the people that can quite literally fly across the map . The lobbies are already hard to find so why be the absolute degenerate who ruins it even further. This isn’t just a problem for xdefiant. But something has to be done if any of these games want to hold any competitive integrity.
