Coming from a long time Iphone user (since iphone 7) Just swapped to the S23 Ultra from a 13 Pro Max. I got my device yesterday and I am COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY. Nothing is beyond my reach, If There is something that I don't like guess what? There are applications to change what I don't like. I FINALLY HAVE FREEDOM. This is by far the best phone I've ever owned Its a multi tasking MONSTER. I can finally download stuff from an app in the background and it actually download without being stuck on that single screen. 10/10 for me. I love it so much I went out to Best Buy today and bought a Galaxy Watch 5.
Im torn between the 14 pro max and s23 ultra. My old galaxy has gotten hacked , viruses, lags and locks up. Apple fanboys have been telling me to finally switch to iphone.
Best phone I have ever used ! What amazes me the most is the UI smoothness and the battery life! 2 hours of gaming + social media all day and I still have 30 to 40% left at night ! Plus the cameras are just amazing ! If you have the money and aren't locked in Apple's ecosystem, this is the best phone you can buy
I've had the S23 Ultra for about a week now, and the battery doesn't seem any better than the battery on my S21 Ultra. I definitely don't get the hoopla around the battery. It isn't that the battery is bad, I just don't see any difference.
I've had my 23 ultra since beginning of Feb and it's unreal. I've not had a single issue since I put my sim in. It's efficient, ultra fast and the screen is absolutely beautiful. Love the matte green colour too. I change phones very frequently but for the first time I am 100% happy with a device.
Is it that good? I had the s22 last year and battery life was so bad I took it back. I’ve got the 14 pro max right now and honestly hate it. Software has been bad but the phone hasn’t been any better either. Random heat ups to an almost too hot feeling just with simple news article reading on chrome or even doing nothing at all just gets hot.
Watching this review on my S23 Ultra. I'm coming from S21 Ultra (exynos version) and I must say that there's really much of an improvement. Battery life and camera performance are excellent.
You can have the phone automatically limit charging to 85% to prolong long term battery life. My S23 Ultra can still be used all day with 20-30% battery left at the end of the day. Under Settings, Battery and Device care, Battery, More Battery Settings, Protect Battery. This option was also available on my Tab S7+ which was welcome because my Tablet stays plugged in most of the time. Hybrid Cars use a similar technique by reducing the maximum charge and limiting how low the battery voltage can go. This increases the life of the batteries and reduces stress on them (along with fan cooling when needed).
Used to have an android when they were still naming their os with desserts and switched to iPhone because of the smoothness. Recently had an iPhone 13 and decided to give android another try with the s23 ultra and HOLY CRAP I will never go back to iPhone. The software and hardware have improved drastically. So much freedom to do what ever I want. Best phone I've used.
I'm sure you will go back at some point. I was the same way and now I have both Android and Apple 😂 I do gotta admit, I enjoy my S23 ultra more than my 15 plus
Had the note 20 ultra got bored being a Samsung guy so I switched to the iPhone 12 Pro Max it was fun I enjoyed it but I badly wanted to come on back home. Happy to say my s23 + will be arriving tomorrow so happy to be back on the right side of things 💯
I upgraded from the s10 plus and gave my a53 to my mother who needed 5g and the s23 ultra is the best I have owned thus far. Only thing I dislike is removal of micro SD card. Samsung s23 ultra is better than the iphone 14 pro max and Pixel no comparison and I've used all 3. For those of us who know tech we always knew Samsung was way more fun to use with more capabilities than the iPhone. Trust me the camera is way better than the iPhone and more fun unlimited features. Now with the pixel I don't prefer the operating system but I respect the pixel camera

This is the best phone of all time! Not going to lie but people looking back 5 years from now will say how complefe this phone was! Also I can arguably say the same for the mate 20 Pro as for me the mate 20 Pro was ahead of its time! Simply incredible to see Samsung making an ultra polished product! Beautiful to hold and beautiful to behold! The cameras are incredible! Seriously thr battery on this is incredible it has never have died on me after 2 months of usage! Got over 800gb left of storage! And it ain't slowed down, gaming is visually amazing, and the one ui 5 is ultra smooth! I won't say this phone is a game changer I would say it's the benchmark for all other phones!
That totally complete device is always going to be the Note9 ;) But I just switched from that to the S23U and this definitely feels like a worthy successor. It took Samsung 4yrs to come up with one!
Switched to the S23 ultra from my S10 and the difference was incredible. I had the note 3 and always missed the SPen for editing photos. Glad to have that again
Definitely agree with bottom speaker being in wrong place and I am surprised that Samsung didn’t see how holding the phone landscape obscures speaker. The speakers are very good so why not ensure that they were in the correct place during design process.
My first apple was iphone 3Gs then i upgrade to 5s then iphone X and i swich to S23 ultra since the first launch, the value for money i got is great, the UI very smooth, battery life, camera are so good i never looked back to apple, best decision not to upgrade to 14 pro
Great video! I agree with everything you said, especially ONEUI! But video I pick the S23U, yes maybe the iPhone wins by 1 point in Video but that 10x optical zoom at 4k is what gets me! I absolutely love it to record my kids soccer, basketball games, and track races!
I have an s22 ultra currently. I've also got an iPhone, no idea what year it is as it's for work purposes. It's the only time I've had 2 phones before and my 1st time with an apple phone but I've had apple products in the past. I've debated on getting the s23 but honestly, I'm content with the s22 right now. I've not felt that way in the over 20 years I've been using cell phones. I think Samsung has done a phenomenal job with the phones, Apple as well. Using both is very different but I'm finally getting used to it. Now I just have to get my employees and management throughout my area to just call the work phone 🤣. I've heard Rome wasn't built in a day so we will get there. Amazing job to getting to 193 mil in subscribers! Your really close to hitting that special 2 mil count. Your vids are informative, entertaining and an honest look at the current tech. 💪🔥

@SuperSaf It's redicuous so-called unbiased reviewers never mention the issues with their favorite phones...S23 Ultra screen has low flicker rate which is too harmful for eyes, 50/200MP photos are tinted yellow after processing & indoor photos and videos are terrible for skin tone if there's any yellow light present in the room.....none mentioned here...shameful
Have you checked out the new S23, NOT the Ultra? Wonder if you think it's also worth it. I am still currently using the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) and have not liked the ones that have come out for: battery life, camera quality, size, weight. Seems that S23 would be a good replacement for me ????
As someone who uses a 45-watt charger, I don't think it needs to be faster. I literally look away for a minute or two, and it's gone up like 7 or more %. Maybe one day go up 65-watts. Until the battery size goes up, I don't think it needs to be faster.
Using s23u graphite one, i dont have any problems with it,yes i agree that placement of speaker and spen should be on the right side as most people are right handed but i think it is not possible because we have cameras on that side and spen is very long so its not possible probably anyways great device

Perfect phone! Finally we got rid off the Exynos! Way better battery efficiency! The camera is outstanding! The only complain I really have is that you cannot change the Aperture and I believe that for a flagship phone, we should have this possibility!
I had to pay more for the S23 Ultra than I paid for the S22 Ultra as follows:- S22 Ultra 512GB £1,349 S23 Ultra 512GB £1,399 I couldn't even find a 1TB in Cosmic Black so I don't know why that is? But I did get a 3 year guarantee for the extra £50 compared to the S22 Ultra which came with a 2 year guarantee, but then I don't keep them for even a year, when I upgrade each year I give away the previous years one. The S23 Ultra may look similar to the S22 Ultra but it's a huge upgrade when you actually look into it, especially this year for us Europeans getting the much better Qualcomm 8 Gen 2 chip, everything is better:- Lens 108 200 Bluetooth 5.2 5.3 Exynos 200 Qualcomm 8 Gen 2 Aperture F1.7 F1.7/F.4 AI 5.0 5.1 Glass Victus Victus 2 Everything else is upgraded as well Battery life is much better. The S23 Ultra is a big improvement over the S22 Ultra.
my accidental drop test was from 1m high, landed flat on screen protected with Whitestone dome glass and crashed like completely. very disappointing but fixed and still love it. 2nd buy was original Samsung view case (has high sides to protect curve on screen) & hydrogel screen protector, works better for now, few gentler drops and no damage.
I've been waiting for either of 2 things to buy my new phone. Either 1. Apple started using USB like everyone else or 2.Samsung ditch that stupid Xynose processor. Samsung won!
Switched to s23 ultra from iphone 12 and I miss the iphone camera which is the only reason I switched over. I kept hearing how s23 ultra had a better camera but the shutter lag is ridiculous. If you have kids,pets, or take photos of moving things; iphone camera is better.
If S23 ultra battery life is 10-15% weaket than Iphone 14 pro max, then S23 ultra is better in this category, because charging time is double faster. For me that is more important, I mean charging speed. Saf talking about 100x zoom, like its not useful, but it is. Not for some crazy good pictures, no, it is because helps in some situation when you need to read something or see something. It is always debate which phone is the best but for me S23 ultra is the best. You have several fantastic flagship choices (Iphone, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Honor and even Huawei) and you can"t choose badly.

10:54 About that if your good with the Ultra you can get more then a good ameturth telescope full moon thing. Although it's hard to as the photo will over process like that pretty even sky that's clearly bblue? Phone be like nope black! But you can get more then slightly different colors but you have to work for it and it won't be insane... Which I also use the 100x zoom all the time for planes overhead and once for a falcon 9 launch from 100 miles away... It captured it much better then any thing else can for $1.5k and under... It even picked up the exhaust sound! I was not expecting that... But yes the moon thing is good for a start but it needs to process less and do more then just the Moon maybye planes next?
Discovered a problem with my S23 Ultra. It is not optimized for facebook and messenger. Videos I send or upload to facebook and messenger are blurry and pixelated. No way to fix it. Iphone videos are optimized in facebook and messenger. Did the experiment today.

Interesting combo since the S23 Ultra is such a big phone in itself. Not quite the multi-tasking king like the Z Fold 4 but outside of that and not folding probably a better phone IMO. I have a Fold 3 & Flip 4 myself.
I got the s23 ultra 2 days ago but now returning it to go back to iPhone. The phone is nicer to hold than iPhone. But I hate the software and the emojis are rubbish. For me S23 Ultra is overhyped. For me IOS is much better than android. Once your an Apple fan you can’t switch

i didn't understand your point about the speaker side... Cause u said "if i hold it in the other side i will keep my fingers on the camera lens", ok but on the other way with the speaker on right hand you keep you left fingers on the camera lenses... so whats the point here?
The camera lenses are on one side when holding the device the way I showed (covering the speaker) the lenses are on the upper side so they don't come in the way. The other way around, the lenses are on the bottom side and are directly where your fingers are when holding the phone. This was not the case with the S21 Ultra for example
Which version do you recommend, the 256gb vs 512gb of course with 12 ram, I plan to last at least four years with the mobile, I only record video for the networks and then delete it, I use few applications and I don't play only photos.
Got the phone at lunch. And really, my favourite thing is the battery life. When I do forget to unplug it and it charges to 100%, the phone will easily last me 1 day and a half. Sometimes, I wake up in the morning, charge it for 20-30 mins before work, and it last me the whole day with a good enough charge remaining.
I have been using the s23 for almost a week now, good phone but i don't think i'm enjoying it like how youtubers advertise it. i've never owned an Iphone before but i kinda wish i had gone to it now.
I like the speaker position. Coz even i use the phone in landscape mode like you do, and that makes the sound get reflected from my hands straight to ears, which makes the sound louder and clearer.
I have a problem with the camera, even from the main camera the Pictures are over processed. I compare with my friends iPhone 13, it keeps the skintone and shape more accurately than that of mu 23 ultra
Before S23 Ultra I had LG G7 thinq. Can't say bad words about galaxy it works for everything I can think of, I fall in love with that spen taking notes is just incredible. Right now I'm waiting for some super thin kevlar case, I have a silicon case and don't like it adding that 2-3 mm is too much I prefer using the phone without it.
i can take moon photos on my note 10 plus so the s23 ultra isnt faking the photo of the moon. just make sure to use pro mode to get right settings on note 10 plus

I have both two: got the 14 Pro Max in November and have had the S23 Ultra for about a week. Not sure which I am going to ultimately use...the Samsung has the Sim for now, but I suspect the iPhone has the better camera, and also better speakers. I'm going to give it some more time, but those are important things. Also, iPhone is more comfortable to hold. I can use the Pro Max with one hand. S23 Ultra I have to use two.

I got an iPhone 14PM and I’ve only used galaxy. This phone has been driving me insane it’s so much easier to use a galaxy However I was told by a few Verizon employees that when you’ve been used to a galaxy or an iPhone for a veryyy long time that 80% of people who switch end up returning it because they’re so used to either iOS/ apple or android/galaxy. I find the galaxy to be much faster to use, the lack of a home panel at the bottom and a back button , no close all tabs, not being able to place apps where you want. All seem like small gripes but as a lifelong galaxy user, the switch has driven me Insane because I’m used to doing things faster/ more efficiently. iMessage and security are the only reasons I switched and I regret it
@@TyroneBiggums789 for a good messenger app that is very reliable use SIGNAL app. It has better security than imessage but aside from that I agree being in one ecosystem for years then switching is a tough task esp when a lot of your daily usage is basically second nature. I used the Iphone up until the 7s after that I couldn't I was using blackberry and iphones been on samsung for years and have no desire to swtich. unless apple just offers something out of this world there's no reason for me to jump. but def both companies have come a long way. good for all tech fans.

I switch from S 20 ultra .I am over the moon with the Quilty of this phone. I wanted this phone because S20 ultra did not have stabilisation 100 zoom and I need a stand to take moon shops. .The camera is the best camera on any phone including the Iphone pro max. These S23 ulta is the king of phones. To take your phone out of your pocket and take pictures of the moon. Its like Star Trek here and now. Bad boy zoom is great. With new app I can just say answer phone or reject calls without even touching the phone. Well done Samsung another winner
May I ask whether the photos will be blurred when taking pictures of pets walking? Can setting the shutter speed in the camera assistant app solve the problem of blurry photos?
This is an excellent review - super slick, super professional, and very well done. Your pitch and content is excellent and very clear btw. I dropped my Z Fold3 and now the wifi now doesn't work - along with me peeling the already bubbled and peeling screen protector off the main screen, this apparently voided the warrantee as well. So if you have a Fold - do not take the screen protector off or it'll void your warrantee. What can you do!. Love hate relationship with the Fold - very very vulnerable to drops as the cases you buy are crap, and in the folded position, the screen is tiny - this is where you'll do most of your texting, so don't have big thumbs. So back to the S range. This will be my third Galaxy having moved from the grip of Apple. Never leaving Android. The S23 Ultra ticks al the boxes. Love the look of the thing and the big screen. Looking forward to receiving it. So thank you again for your excellent review - might nip over to Casetify for a quick look also.

The camera is not amazing, Far from it. Blurry pictures almost everyone when you shot moving objects. Pixel 7 pro does it 10x better

The shutter delay doesn't help. Samsung needs to fix that.

Definitely agree with bottom speaker being in wrong place and I am surprised that Samsung didn’t see how holding the phone landscape obscures speaker. The speakers are very good so why not ensure that they were in the correct place during design process.

I have an s22 ultra currently. I've also got an iPhone, no idea what year it is as it's for work purposes. It's the only time I've had 2 phones before and my 1st time with an apple phone but I've had apple products in the past. I've debated on getting the s23 but honestly, I'm content with the s22 right now. I've not felt that way in the over 20 years I've been using cell phones. I think Samsung has done a phenomenal job with the phones, Apple as well. Using both is very different but I'm finally getting used to it. Now I just have to get my employees and management throughout my area to just call the work phone 🤣. I've heard Rome wasn't built in a day so we will get there. Amazing job to getting to 193 mil in subscribers! Your really close to hitting that special 2 mil count. Your vids are informative, entertaining and an honest look at the current tech. 💪🔥

@SuperSaf It's redicuous so-called unbiased reviewers never mention the issues with their favorite phones...S23 Ultra screen has low flicker rate which is too harmful for eyes, 50/200MP photos are tinted yellow after processing & indoor photos and videos are terrible for skin tone if there's any yellow light present in the room.....none mentioned here...shameful
Have you checked out the new S23, NOT the Ultra? Wonder if you think it's also worth it. I am still currently using the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) and have not liked the ones that have come out for: battery life, camera quality, size, weight. Seems that S23 would be a good replacement for me ????
As someone who uses a 45-watt charger, I don't think it needs to be faster. I literally look away for a minute or two, and it's gone up like 7 or more %. Maybe one day go up 65-watts. Until the battery size goes up, I don't think it needs to be faster.

Using s23u graphite one, i dont have any problems with it,yes i agree that placement of speaker and spen should be on the right side as most people are right handed but i think it is not possible because we have cameras on that side and spen is very long so its not possible probably anyways great device

Perfect phone! Finally we got rid off the Exynos! Way better battery efficiency! The camera is outstanding! The only complain I really have is that you cannot change the Aperture and I believe that for a flagship phone, we should have this possibility!

my accidental drop test was from 1m high, landed flat on screen protected with Whitestone dome glass and crashed like completely. very disappointing but fixed and still love it. 2nd buy was original Samsung view case (has high sides to protect curve on screen) & hydrogel screen protector, works better for now, few gentler drops and no damage.

Switched to s23 ultra from iphone 12 and I miss the iphone camera which is the only reason I switched over. I kept hearing how s23 ultra had a better camera but the shutter lag is ridiculous. If you have kids,pets, or take photos of moving things; iphone camera is better.

If S23 ultra battery life is 10-15% weaket than Iphone 14 pro max, then S23 ultra is better in this category, because charging time is double faster. For me that is more important, I mean charging speed.
Saf talking about 100x zoom, like its not useful, but it is. Not for some crazy good pictures, no, it is because helps in some situation when you need to read something or see something. It is always debate which phone is the best but for me S23 ultra is the best. You have several fantastic flagship choices (Iphone, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Honor and even Huawei) and you can"t choose badly.

Although it's hard to as the photo will over process like that pretty even sky that's clearly bblue? Phone be like nope black! But you can get more then slightly different colors but you have to work for it and it won't be insane... Which I also use the 100x zoom all the time for planes overhead and once for a falcon 9 launch from 100 miles away... It captured it much better then any thing else can for $1.5k and under... It even picked up the exhaust sound! I was not expecting that... But yes the moon thing is good for a start but it needs to process less and do more then just the Moon maybye planes next?
Discovered a problem with my S23 Ultra. It is not optimized for facebook and messenger. Videos I send or upload to facebook and messenger are blurry and pixelated. No way to fix it. Iphone videos are optimized in facebook and messenger. Did the experiment today.

That's what I felt. Battery is the only improvement. Since one ui 5.1, s22 ultra is definitely smooth.
Hoping the camera update fixes the S23U as I agree, despite superfans going hypetastic over the S23U camera, it is not really doing it at the moment.

Interesting combo since the S23 Ultra is such a big phone in itself. Not quite the multi-tasking king like the Z Fold 4 but outside of that and not folding probably a better phone IMO. I have a Fold 3 & Flip 4 myself.
I do want the s23u but since Samsung went skimpy on the trade in value of the s22u is why I ended up not upgrading.

i didn't understand your point about the speaker side... Cause u said "if i hold it in the other side i will keep my fingers on the camera lens", ok but on the other way with the speaker on right hand you keep you left fingers on the camera lenses... so whats the point here?
The camera lenses are on one side when holding the device the way I showed (covering the speaker) the lenses are on the upper side so they don't come in the way. The other way around, the lenses are on the bottom side and are directly where your fingers are when holding the phone. This was not the case with the S21 Ultra for example
Which version do you recommend, the 256gb vs 512gb of course with 12 ram, I plan to last at least four years with the mobile, I only record video for the networks and then delete it, I use few applications and I don't play only photos.

Got the phone at lunch. And really, my favourite thing is the battery life. When I do forget to unplug it and it charges to 100%, the phone will easily last me 1 day and a half. Sometimes, I wake up in the morning, charge it for 20-30 mins before work, and it last me the whole day with a good enough charge remaining.

I like the speaker position. Coz even i use the phone in landscape mode like you do, and that makes the sound get reflected from my hands straight to ears, which makes the sound louder and clearer.

i can take moon photos on my note 10 plus so the s23 ultra isnt faking the photo of the moon. just make sure to use pro mode to get right settings on note 10 plus

I have both two: got the 14 Pro Max in November and have had the S23 Ultra for about a week. Not sure which I am going to ultimately use...the Samsung has the Sim for now, but I suspect the iPhone has the better camera, and also better speakers. I'm going to give it some more time, but those are important things. Also, iPhone is more comfortable to hold. I can use the Pro Max with one hand. S23 Ultra I have to use two.

I got an iPhone 14PM and I’ve only used galaxy. This phone has been driving me insane it’s so much easier to use a galaxy However I was told by a few Verizon employees that when you’ve been used to a galaxy or an iPhone for a veryyy long time that 80% of people who switch end up returning it because they’re so used to either iOS/ apple or android/galaxy. I find the galaxy to be much faster to use, the lack of a home panel at the bottom and a back button , no close all tabs, not being able to place apps where you want. All seem like small gripes but as a lifelong galaxy user, the switch has driven me Insane because I’m used to doing things faster/ more efficiently. iMessage and security are the only reasons I switched and I regret it
@@TyroneBiggums789 for a good messenger app that is very reliable use SIGNAL app. It has better security than imessage but aside from that I agree being in one ecosystem for years then switching is a tough task esp when a lot of your daily usage is basically second nature. I used the Iphone up until the 7s after that I couldn't I was using blackberry and iphones been on samsung for years and have no desire to swtich. unless apple just offers something out of this world there's no reason for me to jump. but def both companies have come a long way. good for all tech fans.

Feel like I have to keep my 14 pro max just for iMessage but the galaxy is the actual phone I want but it’s trash communicating with iPhones , the videos and pictures and bubble changes.

I switch from S 20 ultra .I am over the moon with the Quilty of this phone. I wanted this phone because S20 ultra did not have stabilisation 100 zoom and I need a stand to take moon shops. .The camera is the best camera on any phone including the Iphone pro max. These S23 ulta is the king of phones. To take your phone out of your pocket and take pictures of the moon. Its like Star Trek here and now. Bad boy zoom is great. With new app I can just say answer phone or reject calls without even touching the phone. Well done Samsung another winner

May I ask whether the photos will be blurred when taking pictures of pets walking? Can setting the shutter speed in the camera assistant app solve the problem of blurry photos?
This is an excellent review - super slick, super professional, and very well done. Your pitch and content is excellent and very clear btw. I dropped my Z Fold3 and now the wifi now doesn't work - along with me peeling the already bubbled and peeling screen protector off the main screen, this apparently voided the warrantee as well. So if you have a Fold - do not take the screen protector off or it'll void your warrantee. What can you do!. Love hate relationship with the Fold - very very vulnerable to drops as the cases you buy are crap, and in the folded position, the screen is tiny - this is where you'll do most of your texting, so don't have big thumbs. So back to the S range. This will be my third Galaxy having moved from the grip of Apple. Never leaving Android. The S23 Ultra ticks al the boxes. Love the look of the thing and the big screen. Looking forward to receiving it. So thank you again for your excellent review - might nip over to Casetify for a quick look also.
