That's normal for smaller phones because their features aren't as flashy (e.g. smaller battery because of size), but for everyday use most people prefer it over a big one. The big ones are the marketing machines, they are important for the image of the overall company, while the S23 is more useful to most consumers

Dear May I have some question . Actually I'm currently using Samsung galaxy s21fe . I wanna know what difference you find in s23. Bcz im looking to buy it
@@shivnshots Yeah of course! I was quite happy with the 21fe overall but I didn't like the battery (I got about 5+ hours of Sot with it) and how there always were some stutters, especially while using the camera etc. The s23 is way faster, takes better quality photos (especially the zoom and the selfie camera) better speakers, better fingerprint, got better battery life (I get about 7-9 hours Sot at home with wifi and about 6-7 hours with LTE and moderate use, it also got less standby drain and that is without using the new light mode!). On top of that it feels way nicer and I actually prefer the smaller size after I got used to it, I don't need huge screens as I got a tablet and a laptop for watching movies etc). So in conclusion it just feels like it's a better phone in every way. The 21fe is no bad phone but it definitely does not feel like a flagship compared to the s23! Hope this helps and greetings from Germany :)
@-DiSTriCT- omg hallo wie gehts, ich komme aus Indien und spreche deutsch ein bisschen. Anyway You wrote exactly what my point of view is with s21 Fe in detail. @akshaysharma7743 I mean light performance is amazing you don't notice the loss in performance only when playing intensive games in that case just turn it of when playing games but out of performance mode you save like 15% batter life
I have some heating problems with my S23. You had problems alike mine. It overheats while charging wirelessly and felt hot after charging it. It becomes hot after using it for almost anything. I think I should just return it and get my money back and buy some mid range.
@@85catwoman I found out it's not a problem at all. Unlike the last model, S22 (and probably the series, but S22+ and Ultra might be better in terms of overheating), S23 doesn't overheat much, expect in the first days, week or 2. After that it runs smoothly. Heating is normal if you run a lot on the phone, but nothing heated over the normal parameter.
I read from different sources and youtubers that the 128gb version occupies a huge space for the operating system, and its not a good idea to buy one with 128 gb storage. It differs from country to country. Can anyone from UK help me to to decide if its ok to go for the 128 version? Please
In reality the storage is always less than advertised (operating system etc). 128 GB is decent, but if you store a lot of photos you might consider th 256GB version. It also depends on what you are used to. It is as far as storage is concerned easier to go up then to go down
I sold my s23 just to get the s23 plus just for the battery life. But the s23 is great to hold because how compact it is in the hand . If you can tolerate a little less battery then the s23 is a great buy.

If you do, which one do you suggers? I phone 14 pro or S23? Price is a concerning factor though. Or should i just go for a crop sensor mirrorless camera?
Update: As you all suggested, I went with s23. Great phone. Camera performance is unbelievable. Gives great results in the night as well when taking portrait photos. Tried 8k video recording. Cristal clear like never seen before. You get extra room to crop in and to use stabilisation. The cream colour gives a better in hand feel and premiumness over other colors. Battery life is impressive too especially when compared to my old A51 which I had to charge 3 to 4 times a day.
@@Obsidian-Nebula because you don't really need that much PPI in a phone form factor. Only the Plus and Ultra support 45W charging. The thing with Qualcomm QuickCharge is that the phone will be warm during fast charging. Compared to proprietary charging tech like supervooc in Oppo/OnePlus, the phone doesn't get warm even when charging at 65W-80W.
should I buy s23 or iPhone 14? No preference to iOS or Android, as both are almost same today. Both are available at approx. same price now after 9 months in 2023. iPhone's have more resale value whereas Samsung has more features. pl. advise.
@@koustabborah4959 green line issue has been in many brands including Samsung and not just one plus and it came up in mainly 2019-2020 produced phones. Bad software? I have been using one plus 11 since it's launch and there has been no issues, and I also have s22 which is also clean. Camera as I said is always a place where OnePlus doesn't do good. And the reason I say OnePlus is better is because of its speed. It is faster in usage and it's way faster in charging. So leaving camera OP11 gives a better value for money product.
I just ordered the S 23 and frankly the Camera and Loading speed don´t really interest me since everywhere you go nowadays is a loading port and I don´t really make a lot of pictures to begin with and design is the least important since I´ll be using a case to begin with so I probably won´t see the back of my phone for years to come. Perfomance seems to be on par with even the ultra or at least not noticably worse. The one thing that worries me is the size. I am currently using the s20fe with 6.5 inch display and i hope that the smaller display won´t feel too cramped and that the size difference of just 0,4 inch is basically unnoticable since i do a lot of gaming on my device.
How do you get 7-8 hours battery life? Mine is half of what you have and it's on 60Hz, notifications are of, screenlight is very low. I don't know what to do😢
I haven't personally compared, but a lot of people say that 45w will only charge 5 mins faster than 25w. I have a 25w s23 and my wife 45w on the 23+, so i need to compare
Well when it comes to Samsung and apple there are many features that differ both software and hardware, apple is more of a business phone with a powerful security because it uses 3d face I'd whereas Samsung is more of an exploring phone as it is feature packed ,easily customisable, and many more at times its realy hard to choose the permanent device to use but I can sure say apple is a good bargain because its resale value is quite higher than that of Samsung plus I love the boxy edges of the iPhone lineup because it provides more protection compared to the galaxy s 23 ultra which has a curved screen ,so if I was asked to pic either the galaxy s 23 or the iPhone 14 I'd choose the iPhone for the edges ,security, camera, software ,hardware and magsafe
Samsung Galaxy A and S series comes with Knox security. It is as secure as iPhone if not better. Afaik, Pegasus didn't affect Samsung Galaxy phones with hardware based Knox security.

No iPhone has ever received more than 6 iOS updates, and in general, the last 2 updates received by an iPhone are cut off from real important new features.
Cope harder, its universally known that iphones retain performance and smoothness way longer than androids. You just have to compare the samsung vs the iphone flagship from 5 years ago to see the difference in lag
Which screen protector are you using on your s23?
Mine got a scratch even though i took utmost care.
Me, having been waiting for a good looking, good size and top performing Samsung phone to come out since S10, just to find out they can only be used with wireless headphones now 🙈🙈🤦♀️🤦♀️
This S23 was on sale for a week as a “back to school” special at $300.00 off regular price. (Canada) .. US $587.00
You guys steal from us europeans. We have to buy the thing for 850€ while you buy it for 750$(700€) and I have no clue why that is
I have S23 since 6 February and I can't praise it enough..
How's your battery life on s23 5G I hot 128gb model
@@Saras_Photobox2015 Impressive.. I was use to 4 hours of sot with my old OP7T but now I have double. I average about 4 hours of sot daily usage and now I have around 40-50% left at the end of a day.
@amdboy5873 Thats really good would you say S23 5G is good for heavy usage I'm a social media and camera person. I do use RUclips on WiFi and music via my old s10 plus is still solid working 💪
@@Saras_Photobox2015 Yes, definitely. If you don't play demanding games than the idle and casual usage drain is really small. Which is amazing considering I have 2 sims active (only one internet acces through 4G, I don't use 5G), gps on, smart watch connected through bluetooth and AOD on. Using Camera is obviously a bit more demanding for the battery but as long as you don't shoot 8k video all day long it should be fine. Next month I'm going to Greece so I look forward (apart from holiday) to put my S23 to some proper camera usage so I'll see.
@amdboy5873 so if I use camera all day I'm not a gamer as much.
Is the camera demanding on battery for both s23 5g and s23 plus?
So from last night 11:30pm off charge. Today 11:22am uk time 80% using Instagram, WhatsApp,Internet.
How are more people not talking about this? The S23 is incredible but I feel like its release is muted. It deserves more attention, plenty of phone at the price.
That's normal for smaller phones because their features aren't as flashy (e.g. smaller battery because of size), but for everyday use most people prefer it over a big one. The big ones are the marketing machines, they are important for the image of the overall company, while the S23 is more useful to most consumers
I finally upgraded to this today from a Galaxy S8+ and wow, I really missed out on alot 😂
What a big upgrade that is
i have an iphone 8 and comparing the iphone 14 and noticing that it has the same 60hertz while the s23 has 120 hertz makes it seem like apple could do a lot of improvements, but choose not to
iphone 15 still has it. Imagine buying a 950€ phone in 2024 with 60Hz display 🤣
Its been a month since I found and subscribed to ur channel and all I can say is, Im impressed with every video that u make. Good luck and wish u all the best Dion!
Thank you Angelo, appreciated!
Best compact phone on the market now period! I got the S23 256GB in green and i'm more than satisfied with it it's a very snappy phone with this new powerful chipset!
One thing I learned when buying Samsung flagship phones is that to never buy them upon release since the price drop is quite huge each month passes.
Hi Andy, thanks for sharing this info
Yeah, that's what I'm saying, I will buy it in 2027 also!
If you use the phone that made before 2022 right now, you won't go wrong for S23.
And why is that
Picked up the s23 a week ago and i love it, your videos definitely helped me pick it and it was a great choice coming from a s21fe
Anyway
You wrote exactly what my point of view is with s21 Fe in detail. It's not a bad phone, but it's not that good, especially when it comes to battery and stand-by time.
I'll really look into any exchange offers with it . Plus soon I'll come to Germany so I want to know how the service of samsung is there. Should I buy the phone there or here? What if I exchange the same model I have in germany ? Please find out and let me know ..
If possible I can able to meet you there if you can.
@@shivnshots I can't really tell you much about Samsung in Germany as I bought in online on ebay and sold my 21fe on my own as well. All in all I had to spend about 400€ for the 23 after selling the 21fe and that price difference is definitely worth it! Greetings!
HI, sorry, I have no experience with the s21fe
S23 ❤❤❤ watching on s23 and its SOT 8 TO 9 HOURS EVERYDAY HEAVY AND LIGHT USAGE ON 60 H. BATTERY SAVING MODE AND LIGHT PERFORMANCE AND BALANCED BRIGHTNESS. I USE RUclips FOR 3 TO 4 HOURS VIDEO SONGS FOR 2 HOURS, GAME ASPHALT 9, AND OTHER THINGS.❤❤❤❤❤ AND WITHOUT VIBRATION HEPTICS.
Why even bother buying a flagship if you are going to turn off everything?
@akshaysharma7743 I mean light performance is amazing you don't notice the loss in performance only when playing intensive games in that case just turn it of when playing games but out of performance mode you save like 15% batter life
I have some heating problems with my S23. You had problems alike mine. It overheats while charging wirelessly and felt hot after charging it. It becomes hot after using it for almost anything. I think I should just return it and get my money back and buy some mid range.
Did you find the source of the problem?
@@85catwoman I found out it's not a problem at all. Unlike the last model, S22 (and probably the series, but S22+ and Ultra might be better in terms of overheating), S23 doesn't overheat much, expect in the first days, week or 2. After that it runs smoothly. Heating is normal if you run a lot on the phone, but nothing heated over the normal parameter.
@@thecoolpanther3103 bro ur heating issue solved or not?
@@NLGYTWorld Just said, it was no issue, the heating was happening because the phone was setting itself up. The S23 series has no heating problems.
I've chosen the S23 Ultra coming from S22 base model just for the camera. But I honestly would be more comfortable to use the smallest S23
The video on the Ultra’s easily the best I’ve seen on a mobile because of the new stabilization
I've sold my S23 Ultra because it was to big and heavy for me. Sure it's an amazing piece of tech but carrying it around in my pocket was a pain.
@@MyCocoTVWhich phone you brought then ?
prolly the s23 or s23 plus@@iamajustababa2000s
What do you think should i buy a used S22 Ultra or a new out the box S23
am i alone there with focus problems on main lens?
No I have the same issue, overall I am not so pleased about the camera
So which phone is the best between these two Dion? Any preference?
I really love my S23! Daily Driving it since Late-February (Pre-ordered it) and have no issues with it! ❤
It is as far as storage is concerned easier to go up then to go down
Really great breakdown. Was looking to understand the battery life on the s23 since it has a smaller battery.
Glad to help!
I sold my s23 just to get the s23 plus just for the battery life. But the s23 is great to hold because how compact it is in the hand . If you can tolerate a little less battery then the s23 is a great buy.
How much more battery do you get out of the plus? I got the normal s23 and i love it, but I'm just curious
@@droetkaar about 2 more hours at least. The s23 is not bad but the s23 plus just give me added comfort that my battery will last a day and a half . .
@@droetkaar I also have the S23+ it's definitely worth it over the regular S23. If size is your concern don't fret, I'm someone that always prefer smaller phones but battery life has become more important in 2023. So I chose the S23+, it doesn't feel big at all, feels comfortable in my hands & pocket and the battery life is noticeably better.
Is just the battery worth for the extra money? I am planning to buy samsing s23 series but not sure about s23 or s23plus
@@jennetrose566 maybe... Maybe not. If battery life is not your top priority then no. If you can get a great deal with the plus, then go for it.
Since the battery life is now an upgrade comparing it to S22 then this for me is can win the best compact phone of the year
Didnt they fix the overheating issue yet? 🤔.. Im tired of dealing with the overheating issue since i know samsung very well since ive been using is for the past 5 years.. All the new features are undeniably amazing tho..
what about the resolution?
I have an S21 Ultra with 550ppi and the S23 only has 393ppi. Can you notice a difference? How would you rate the display?
Doesn't the resolution bother you?
Have they fixed the shutter lag yet?
This is as compact as s23 can gets, i do miss the old samsung mini series and it seems apple is killing its mini line too
Which colour is the best
9 months here. Heating randomly, heating even in light game. I turned on flight mode because my primary suspect is the slow signals but nope, it didn't help. My phone is updated to latest ver.
Aside from that no other issues.
How is the battery life?
S23 ?
Just upgraded my Moto stylus G6 with this. Only downgrade is 6.6 screen to 6.1 and 5000mh battery to 3900 mh. But aside from that, its mostly an upgrade.
@DionMedia If you had to choose between the Samsung Galaxy S23 or the Samsung Galaxy S23 plus which would you choose?
Both phones are great, but if you can afford it the S23 plus has the most value per dollar, especially for content use
Your English is great! I normally easily spot a Dutch accent, but here it took me 3 whole minutes :)
For the cellular watches, is there any benefit when traveling abroad? I assume it data roams just like a phone
Yes, but only if you put on international roaming
Never mind the 48W fast charging which weakens the battery life after 1.5-2 years later!😮.
Boring shape:NO.
Always have case on it.I'm only interested in what the phone can do!!!Period😊.
I just got my S23 refurbished from Amazon to replace my S21 that was overheating, the scree was cracked and the battery life was depleted. I really like it after 3 days.
Is this phone too small for watching videos and reading?
7-8 sot is great, how do you get those results? I have the plus variant and am getting 5-7 max.
put all apps into deep sleep mode then turn off background data on all of your apps
I love this phone so much! I do not miss anything for this price:) At least nothing important. Of coruse they can pump some stuff like battery charging speed and so on but so far so good.
Have you tried to take a photo of a text page? Are you able to take a sharp, readable photo due to the so called lens curvature "feature"?
I currently use a samsung galaxy A51. I'm pretty satisfied with it's display and build quality. Do you think it's a wise idea to upgrade to a flagship phone for recording videos for Instagram? If you do, which one do you suggers? I phone 14 pro or S23? Price is a concerning factor though. Or should i just go for a crop sensor mirrorless camera?
I'd get an S23. It's better value for your money and offers a good amount for its $800 price tag.
The choose is easy if price is concerning, the S23...
Id suggest go cor s23+ better battery
Update: As you all suggested, I went with s23. Great phone. Camera performance is unbelievable. Gives great results in the night as well when taking portrait photos. Tried 8k video recording. Cristal clear like never seen before. You get extra room to crop in and to use stabilisation. The cream colour gives a better in hand feel and premiumness over other colors. Battery life is impressive too especially when compared to my old A51 which I had to charge 3 to 4 times a day.
man i love this phone because of its size i dont use it for gaming but its honestly not a purchase i regret in 2024
Spot on 100% I've had mine since day 1 and not 1 single complaint.
What about blurry photos issue ?
@@RK1FX no burry photos for me. I use the 12 mp instead of the 50 mp sensor. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.
I remember that S8 or S9 has had like 560 ppi. A bit weird actually that it went down
S8 had 570 ppi
@@milospjanovic9646 Well.. what happened then ? Why do the recent ones got less ?
@@Obsidian-Nebula because you don't really need that much PPI in a phone form factor. The high resolution displays were one of the main selling points of phones back then, but it obviously affected the battery life and performance of those phones. So basically, the high resolution displays back then were just for the marketing and it didn't really help at all.
I bought an s23 and i can find the finger print sensor visible under light when the screen in locked, is this common in every s23
Your recommendation? limit battery charging to 85% or 100%?
In general 85% is a bit better
Does anyone any issues with the camera when specifically using Instagram? The zoom turns blurry / brightens and softens the image you're zooming in.
I have had the s23 for a week now and I love it. As a musician and social media influencer, it meets my needs and then some.
social media influencer smh oh god
@DeadPiixxel Yeah. I'm a radiant positive light to a bunch of people, and I think the new phone makes it a bit easier and enjoyable. Like the editing and behind the scenes stuff. Hit a milstone on my country's birthday, actually, and my first single comes out today.. which I am playing live tonight. I get to chase my dreams and respond to comments like this. Life is blissful.
Bro this reply was personal and peak fire, link your Spotify plz
I appreciate your videos! I just got the S23 and bought a 45W charger with cord. Will that not work with the S23?
Yes it will
it will just not use all the 45W
Only the Plus and Ultra support 45W charging. The thing with Qualcomm QuickCharge is that the phone will be warm during fast charging. Compared to proprietary charging tech like supervooc in Oppo/OnePlus, the phone doesn't get warm even when charging at 65W-80W.
should I buy s23 or iPhone 14? No preference to iOS or Android, as both are almost same today. Both are available at approx. same price now after 9 months in 2023. iPhone's have more resale value whereas Samsung has more features. pl. advise.
If it cost the same then I would go for the iPhone.
But I actually bought the S23 because I managed to get it at half the price of the iPhone.
Camera wise I prefer the S22.
I'm so happy with my s23 I have 0 complaints it just dose it job well
Good to hear
Except Camera, i would say OnePlus 11 is a better package at a cheaper price.
Still a very clean design and great compactness.
💯
Other than the cameras, OP 11 is only IP64 and doesn't have wireless charging, but I agree that it is a better value for the price
Bad software, green line issues, not ip68 rating, bad cameras. OnePlus is a highly inconsistent brand.
not comparable devices. Like comparing the Xiaomi 13 Pro to it
@@koustabborah4959 green line issue has been in many brands including Samsung and not just one plus and it came up in mainly 2019-2020 produced phones.
So leaving camera OP11 gives a better value for money product.
mine will arrive today, im so excited because im moving from s10e to s23
Enjoy, great phone

@@kolocp i have yet to do a comparison between S10e and S23, but initially i like the S23 more
I just ordered the S 23 and frankly the Camera and Loading speed don´t really interest me since everywhere you go nowadays is a loading port and I don´t really make a lot of pictures to begin with and design is the least important since I´ll be using a case to begin with so I probably won´t see the back of my phone for years to come.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts
Which one to choose iPhone 11 or s23? I’m asking because in my country the prices are the same
S23
s23 for sure
S23 definitely because the iPhone 11 is the competitor to the s20.
design wise i still prefer the s22 especially the forest green color briant tho s23 had much better processor.
How do you get 7-8 hours battery life? Mine is half of what you have and it's on 60Hz, notifications are of, screenlight is very low. I don't know what to do😢
That is a bit much, have a look at my s23 first 10 things to do video including some battery tips.ruclips.net/video/kscnYUyWwLM/видео.html
What's the difference lf HK/TW/ and global version? HK/TW is more cheaper .
I haven't personally compared, but a lot of people say that 45w will only charge 5 mins faster than 25w. I have a 25w s23 and my wife 45w on the 23+, so i need to compare
It's true. About 3-5 min faster, not a big deal.
False it charges way faster its just the battery's in the s23 plus are bigger than the s23
14's camera is far worse than S23, that also hold true with Hardware. You can add magsafe to any phone by buying a magnet case for 20$
@@mehshutup3041 cant say that about the video quality
Just a fanboy😅
iPhones are no more secure than Galaxys.
Samsung Galaxy A and S series comes with Knox security. It is as secure as iPhone if not better. Afaik, Pegasus didn't affect Samsung Galaxy phones with hardware based Knox security.
Watch out for the Galaxy S23, S23+ have a factory camera defect with a blur effect
Switched from iphone 13 pro max. No regrets.
Switched and have some regrets. The overall performance of iPhone is better to me. I really wanted an Android for sideloading mainly but I think I’ll switch back…
