  • John's outbursts of anger are legendary. Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to include all scenes in this video. In 2003, McEnroe even landed a small film role in Anger Management, starring Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson.
    John McEnroe, Sport, Tennis, Athlete, ATP Tour, Tennis Player, Wiesbaden, Germany, United States, Experte, Reporter, Eurosport, John Patrick McEnroe Jr, Patrick McEnroe, Angry, The Anger Test, Associated Press, Mr. Deeds, Tatum O’Neal, Patty Smyth, Anger Management, Adam Sandler, Jack Nicholson, Angry Moments,

      It's not RUclips's fault, if the rights holders don't want it it gets marked. However one wonders if a compilation of McEnroe's famous meltdowns would not be valid as fair use?

    Tennis wasn't the most popular of sports until McEnroe came along and stirred things up, I remember how much enthusiasm for the sport grew because people wanted to watch Johnny go off on refs and opponents, (and the audience sometimes) it was colorful and entertaining, tennis was seen as a pretty dull, uneventful sport especially on television.

      That’s why I hate that players like Kyrgios or Rublev get scrutinized for showing emotion. Makes it much more entertaining for fans such as myself. I don’t need theatre, but it’s enjoyable

    • @mediapeikko5900
      @mediapeikko5900 Месяц назад

      @@dannytran1587 I don't think such a drama theatre is enjoyable in sports. Players like McEnroe and Kyrgios are examples of losers or little bitches who cannot control their emotions. Watch badminton, there are no that kind of assholeness at the court. Probably the reason is that sports like tennis has too much money rolling around it and players are after it without loving the sport itself enough. Another reason could be that not so many asians play tennis. In their culture arrogance and bad behavior is a bit more forbidden than in western culture. To behave stupidly means one loses his face and respect.
