Disney Cars 3 Next-Gen Rev-N-Go (Piston Cup Racer #73) Custom

- Mattel has significantly slowed in releasing new Next-Generation Piston Cup racers in 2019 and 2020, only delivering five new racers to collectors: Cam Spinner, Richie Gunzit, George New-Win, Noah Gocek and Jonas Carvers. Due to this delay, I commissioned artist Henry Kho of Wakho Arts to make a custom of the Next-Gen Rev-N-Go #73. Despite having little context to build off of, he was able to successfully craft a beautiful, candescent die-cast. Since this racer has not been officially released, he does not have a name yet. He appears in the Florida 500 Piston Cup race in 'Cars 3.'

Custom looks really amazing, just like real one. It's too hard to choose the best Rev-N-Go racer, but I think that my favorite is Misti Motorkrass, because she has the classic Rev-N-Go paint job that looks amazing.

Fantastic video!! I absolutely loved that intro and review! You are correct, the next gen has no number on his roof in the movie. My favorite Rev N Go racer is Misti Motorkrass because she's the only one with a name right now lol. Also, you forgot to show the custom Rev N Go hauler.

This custom Next Gen Rev N Go racer looks fantastic! WakhoArts did an amazing job on this car! I love the deep metallic greenish turquoise color, it looks amazing! I'd imagine he'll shine brightly in the sunlight because of how shiny his paint job is! The dark greenish turquoise color doesn't quite match the turquoise color that's on the tractor and the turquoise color he has in his appearance in the movie, but the color but itself looks pretty close although it's darker. I can't wait to see what the Next Gen Rev N Go racer will look like when he's officially released by Mattel! :D

Great review of the next gen Rev-N-Go, Disney Docket. I've decided to call him Downturner Chamberlain. I've decided to name the Cars 3 stock car Rev-N-Go racer, Ricky Axler. I think that next gen Rev-N-Go was made using a Thailand Michael Rotor. I would love to see a metallic version of Mater, Luigi & Guido and Jackson Storm. I've put Lightning McQueen, Mater, Sally, Luigi & Guido in an upcoming movie titled Thomas & Friends: The Secret of the Cave Treasure.

Great review on the custom Next Gen Rev N Go Disney Docket, the green paint and yellow rims goes together so perfectly, I think I’d prefer this one over the next Gen Spare Mint custom, but that’s just my opinion, hopefully Mattel will release him soon with an official name!

I do think that "Dexter" is a quite a bit darker than what he is in the movie. His rims also seem a bit bright. The tractor is still too bright imo. I do think the evolution of the brand is interesting. I love the custom, but I also like that Misti is a female racer. It's a shame she doesn't have the eyelashes. The pittie and the toolbox look amazing as well. Great review as always!
I totally agree about the colors being a bit off, but it's hard to match the color perfectly. Misti is a classic for sure, and she should be more accurate though. Thank you! :)

This custom reminds me of the Next Gen Vinyl Toupee racer that's from JimScavenger because of how dark the color is and same thing goes with this custom right here. Both the Next Gen Rev N Go racer and Next Gen Vinyl Toupee racer will look awesome next to each other with their deep dark colors! :)

Great video and custom! Spear mint actually appeared before the Florida 500, but I think he was only in one shot or in the back, which is why he didn't have the rookie stripes, but Rev N go should though.

Also, I noticed that Mattel is more towards introducing 2017 Florida 500 rookies because they like to stick rookie stripes on to the next gens, but Jonas Carvers is getting a tractor release, and he will be inaccurate if he has rookie stripes, because he wasn't a rookie at Florida. The next gen Spare Mint also wasn't a rookie at Florida, which was where most of his high amount screen time came. He did have rookie stripes but he only had them in 2016 and he didn't have a lot of screen time at that time.
In the background, is that Jim Reverick from Tomica or is it from a customizer that made it into a 1:55 scale die-cast? I can't see the background that well because it's blurred out.

Dexter Sparks sounds like a pretty cool name for the Next Gen Rev N Go racer although some other people have their own unique names for this racer. I'm not perfect when it comes to naming racers that are unnamed, but Dexter Sparks definitely works! :)

When I first saw the Next Gen Rev N Go racer, I wasn't really a fan of his design because of how drastically different he is compared with the other 2 Rev N Go racers. But after a while, he's starting to grow on me a bit. His color combination is interesting with the turquoise and yellow and many people liked him since I don't think there's a turquoise Next Gen racer. I'm also interested in the ghosted Rev N Go logos on the side, it made me think that the design was trying something new to fit the Next Gen modern era because Next Gen designs tend to be simple. I also like the arrow pattern design in the yellow part of the paint scheme. Overall, the Next Gen Rev N Go racer has an interesting design to it. I can't wait to see what the Mattel version will look like! :D
I totally agree with you! The turquoise has grown a lot on me recently. Mattel will also add the ghost prism-esque design that is subtly visible in the movie. :)

I believe WakhoArts used Eric Braker to make this custom. The dark green color looks kinda similar to the one Eric Braker has although it's brighter than this. The Next Gen Rev N Go racer has the same spoiler as Eric Braker and Ed Truncan where the spoiler is like a zigzag shape. Noah Gocek and Dan Carcia has the same exact spoiler too although they're both the Tim Treadless models while other 3 I mentioned are the Danny Swervez models. It's nice to see WakhoArts trying to get the right spoiler to go with the Next Gen Rev N Go racer since these Next Gen racers have different spoilers. Also, the thing that made me think that WakhoArts used Eric Braker to make this custom is that underneath the base it has an “M38A” production code. I remember I saw a 2 pack of Eric Braker and Barry DePedal at a Walmart store and when I opened it up, Eric Braker had an “M38A” production code on the bottom. So this means WakhoArts must've used Eric Braker that was from the 2 pack with Barry DePedal. Those were my thoughts when I first saw this custom just thinking about what he used to make this.

Is it finally time for an upcoming video that shows the comparison of Disney Pixar Cars Three veteran stock cars, and next-generation stock cars?
Pretty sure he's next in line for release. Feel like the side decals for Rev N Go way too visible. It's faint, and also his number is centered on the roof, but that's kinda hard to tell. Also there's faint arrows in his paint, kinda like Eric Braker with the hexagons. And he probably used Eric Braker as the model, because they share a spoiler.

Amazing review!!! From all the rev-n-go team members you have, I only have the cars 3 Rev-n-go racer, and you might think, how did you get it if there aren't any targets in spain?, I got it just when it came out in 2017 in the desert race 11 pack, from target.com, I don't know if they still ship internationally, but I am happy to have it, mine hasn't got the Lightyear logos on the sides, and in december, when I found wheeldell lee and thailand darren, I was late to get the tractor, but after when the quarentine ends, I'll try to be the first in the stores to find the new stuff!!!! And this saturday, the spanish president said that kids from 3 to 14 years old can go outside with an adult, I am almost 14, and that means that I can go outside, but I woun't, it's still being dangerous to go outside, and people like me, my family, people who are staying at home to make sure that the virus gets terminated, and after a month and a half, our president says that, and now people is going outside like if nothing ever happened, and that makes me angry, not only becouse I am staying at home and they don't respect the quarentine, it's becouse people is going outside with kids, and they don't even care about infecting the other people, and now, there are hundreds of persones going outside at the same time, and after all we have done to end this pandemic, all that unresponsable people is going to throw all of that trough the window, and make us stay at home for two months again!!!

Out of all the 3 Rev N Go racers you've shown in this video, I'll probably go with the Cars 3 Rev N Go stock car because I love the bright blue mixed with the dark blue along with the orange to break up the color scheme! It's ashamed that he remains unnamed at the moment, but hopefully Mattel will reveal his real name soon once they get the message from Disney and Pixar about what his real name is. Some people have been calling the Cars 3 Rev N Go stock car “Ricky Axel” and I thought to myself that this name looks pretty good! :)
