When thinking of Barbie and Ken I always think of The Three Stigmatas of Palmer Eldritch by Philip K. Dick. In the novel, people on mars enjoy their free time through a small "perfect" layout world which they basically enter through a drug to distract themselves from the bleak reality. The barbie type main character in the layout world is called Perkie Pat.
Sometimes, it feels good to channel your inner Barbie...I was waiting for the JPG Classique/Le Male combo. I love that Moschino and I don't wear it as often as I should either. Great list, great idea!!!
Love so many of the choices, especially the LPRN and Songes & Eau d'Hadrien! I miss their classic bottle designs they were so charming! Eau d'Hadrien is so good at cutting through hot humid weather and lasts all day on me! I would also include La Chasse aux papillons & Pink Sugar for Barbie!

I love the creativity of this video. The concept of Barbie choosing Ken’s fragrance fits with the first half of the film by the end Ken would probably pick his own scent and unfortunately something he thinks is Uber masculine like Aventus or Sauvage. He probably would also like Parfum de Marley since he loves horses maybe Layton. The first choice of Chanel was spot on as Barbie wears Chanel clothing in the film. Margot Robbie is a brand rep for Chanel. Beach and Tropical theme but not marine definitely also works for Barbie and Ken. Great video!
I never had a Barbie doll, but I had all the She-Ra dolls and Jem & The Holograms. I would love to scent those characters. Was also a huge fan of The Thundercats, which could be interesting.... this could send me down an animalic rabbit hole. LPRN Couture has much more oakmoss than the other flankers. This is the most chypre-like, it's actually too traditional for my tastes. I'd love to hear what you think about the third stage of its development.

I'm going to go see Barbie. Greta Gerwig is the director. I very much enjoyed her in Frances ha. Chanel Boy is a good pick. Annick's Eau d Hadrien is a good one too. I'm going old-school mall style baby. 2014 La Nuit or 2014 YSL's Sport. Something like that. I was actually more of a river rat/cellar rat than a mall rat. I went to the music shops and the movie theaters. That's pretty much where I was when the malls were huge in the latter 80s and 90s. Please do a movie review of Barbie is you go Persolaise.
In response to your comment about walking into any store and closing you eyes to make the choice... so this is "classy Barbie and Ken" versus "trashy Barbie and Ken".
For me barbie didn't put feminism back. I had a mother that told me all I'd ever be was a wife and mother and I just needed to find man. Barbie taught me I could be anything. I could still be me and girlie and have a job doing anything. Love this idea
