The sound is horrible. At some parts it sounds like they can't sing, and most of the time it sounds like they are missing their notes.

People who compare new casts to the original casts always make me annoyed, NO this is NOT THE SAME, that does not give you a free pass to diss them, compare and enjoy their different nuances that they bring to the character, but just don’t try to bring them down to lift up the other cast. This is pretty much a very nasty issue with the whole theatre community overall, appreciate the different interpretations from different actors because that’s what makes theatre special
Yes! This! I saw a Q&A with this cast and the women were picked for their roles for a reason. The creative team is more looking for a portrayal of the stories, not for the ladies to be the queens exactly. They want their personalities to show and add to the story telling!

@@jeremymittwer6028 that's one perception of her, but this is also a fictionalised character! She can be interpreted however the actress chooses, and in no way am I knocking any other interpretation of Boleyn when I talk about my excitement for this one.

this is just an opinion, but i feel like they really should do the accents. actors in west end do american accents for shows like waitress and i feel like they should do british accents for a british show

Melissa a lot of the queens didn’t come from england anyway, boleyn was from france, aragon was from spain, cleves was german i think, i feel like if they aren’t doing the historical accuracy, the accents don’t really matter
When she sang get down, I immediately opened the news to find that they found a wig on the face of neptune. Sweet 👌🏼

Cause they are singing broadway/live version of it. The soundtrack only uses "5 more minutes" but if you have seen the show (yes even with the original west end cast), they sing "3 more minutes" on the last chorus

But seriously, Howard is so CUTE and Parr's voice gives me chills and Cleves is so powerful and Aragon is so good at engaging the audience and Boleyn pours so much energy into the role and Seymour just keeps going after "rude!" And tbh, I love them just as much as Jaye'J, Millie, Natalie, Lexi, Aimie and Maiya

Just a little PSA: if they were gonna do accents Aragon to would have to have a Spanish one, Cleves would have a German one, and Boleyn would have a French one. And they don't to accents so it doesn't mess up their singing (but Andrea Macasaet (Boleyn) does do a French accent in some parts of Don't Lose Your Head)
psa: it still sounds bad. an english accent (for which the score was written for) would improve everything overall. they all slip in and out of the accent, so it's obvious it works best that

Boleyn would not have a fucking French accent. She wasn't fucking French. Her parents moved their kids there for their late childhood to early teenage years because the father wanted to move upward socially and he figured French-educated girls would be easier to marry off to rich men. Instead he got two mistresses to the English king.

Maybe i don't notice something but isn't it just loops on their costumes to hold mics?
They mean that the microphones have pieces of tape on it that correspond to the queens. Eg. Boleyn has a green piece, Howard a pink piece, and so on.

Unpopular Opinion: I honestly am beginning to like this Cleves version a little bit better than on the West End. I don’t know, in comparing how she adapted the song verse the original, I was just generally more entertained. Like 8:02 and 9:07 had me entirely too shook!

Is it just me or does it always feel a bit like the music is just a little too fast for how they're singing?? Feel like it's probably cause of the way the accents drag out different syllables. Still love seeing six spreading round the world like thism it's a phenomenal show and getting to see so many different interpretations of the queen's has become integral to it ❤️
*Note: feel like only one this doesn't apply to is cleeves. This is actually my favourite interpretation since Genesis Lynea

Anna Von kleve I honestly love both Aimee and Sam equally, but I respect ur opinion. I agree with Andrea, though to be fair I’ve never been a big Millie fan. Probably just got tired of the constant praise of anything she did.
I tend to prefer whoever I heard first in a role (I do not do well with change, what can I say), but it's been about 10 seconds and I'm in love with Cleaves. The woman has PRESENCE and I'm loving what she's bringing to Cleaves. More Queens to love!
Apart from the accents throwing me off, this was pretty good. Parr and Cleeves have my entire heart.
At 9:09 you can see Jane smile when Cleves does that growley part. I’ve seen her do that for different queens when they do super cool things vocally and it warms my heart
It does make sense cause after SIX she spent some time vocal coaching and personally as a tutor seeing people younger then me succeed in something there passionate about whether there my student or not warms my heart and gives me a similar smile but I’m not sure what she did before that

This cast just hits different, their energy is EVERYTHING, can't imagine Six any other way.
In the song "Ex-wives/Six", I feel as if they were holding back. I don't know if it was them or the sound engineer, but their vocal mix was not the best. It sounded like someone was screaming.
On another note, Cleves killed it!

Well they’re probably new to each other, unlike the west end cast.

All of you that “feel like they need accents” NO THEY DO NOT! They sound perfect in their own way. You need to shut up and listen for a second because the CREATORS (Toby and Lucy) BOTH SAID ACCENTS DON’T MATTER! So like stop! This cast is amazing in their own was. This musical is so amazing. I mean, the writers are giving a bunch of information about the past while being extremely entertaining, and "Get Down" really made me interested in learning more about her past.
