Orrrrr the animator wanted to keep the symmetry of the shot. If you look at Cleves' verse you'll see there are only 4 wives saying the Ja's. Parr is once again absent but this time she has no reason to be. And also in the actual West end and soundtrack versions of the song the performer for Parr does in fact say Rude with the others wives. It was a nice theory but it's either wrong or the animator is sloppy

I swear every time K Howard sings “lock up your husbands lock up your sons” I ALWAYS think she’s about to say “lock up your husbands lock up your *WIVES* “ and i get disappointed every time
More fun lil facts with a History major: Catherine Parr married Jane Seymour’s brother Thomas (the man she is singing about in ‘I Dont Need Your Love’). This man reportedly groomed and tried to woo the teenaged Princess Elizabeth when she lived with Parr for years following her father’s death. Catherine Parr’s godmother was none other than Catherine of Aragon, she was named after her. And the woman who ‘helped’ Katherine Howard arrange her affair (Lady Jane Rochford, who was executed along with Katherine) was the wife of Anne Boleyn’s brother, George; executed in 1536 for treason and incest with Anne.
Thank GOD someone brought up what a shitbag human being Thomas Seymour was. As if being a groomer wasn't enough, he also tried to kidnap the young Edward VI (his own nephew!) He broke into the King's apartments and, when a dog barked, he shot it. The noise alerted one of the guards who alerted Edward VI. The fact that he groomed his wife's teenage stepdaughter (because really, that's what Princess Elizabeth was to Catherine Parr) behind her back while she was pregnant with his child (Catherine Parr died either in childbirth/shortly postpartum) is absolutely sickening.
I love how Cathrine of Aragon has a big tiara because she’s the “true” queen of England, while Anna of Cleves has a smaller, irregular tiara because she was still princess of Wales before marrying Henry. Edit: I apologize, Cathrine of Aragon was Princess of Wales before becoming Queen of England. However, after the marriage Anna was still seen as a very powerful and rich woman due to the divorce settlement. So the crown still fits.
I also find it interesting that Jane Seymour has a small crown that’s actually much closer to resembling a traditional one. Probably because she had the son, but she wasn’t really the “true” queen.
Catherine of Aragon: Love lost to Politics Anne Boleyn: The ruined happily ever after Jane Seymour: Only remembered for her son Anne of Cleves: Only one who got a happy outcome Katherine Howard: Never had a chance to mature Catherine Parr: To stay alive she gave up her love to care for an old, brain damaged man
It’s crazy how these women are the reason Henry’s so famous, yet they are almost never given attention or stories outside of the fact that henry mistreated them.
Dicorced Wives: Have spikes on their head, a spike through marriage. Beheaded Wives: Have chokers cause they got their head chopped off. Died/Survived: Hoops because they still have the ring. Edit: WOAH THANKS FOR THE LIKES WHAT- edit: bruhh im talking abt the musical not the animatics
Well, they all git spikes on their head. I thinking divorced ones have so visible spikes, becouse they've been princesses befoure they met Henry, and spikes kinda represeents crowns.
@@A_Strawberry if I'm correct, Boleyn actually had the B on her choker, but it was lost when Henery had all of her things destroyed after her beheading.

@@maydayjanette226 not really a fan of musicles, or Hamilton, but I can confidently say that Hamilton is far better than six. In general American musicals are a lot better than British ones Don't get me wrong, I enjoy certain bits of the soundtrack of both, but as someone who can't stand sitting through musicals, I can tolerate Hamilton vs only enjoying 2 songs from six and not being able to sit through anything else without annoyance and boredom.
Of course it's gonna be inaccurate, it's more of an adaptation than an accurate textbook. That's like saying the movies suck because the directors didn't do what some books say beat for beat. They're both adaptations, so you can choose to edit it for whatever reason. Like in Perks of Being a Wallflower (movie) Patrick was called nothing because of the first scene in shop class when he stood up to him. In the book "Nothing" was a stuck around nickname from older times since other kids called him Patty. In Hamilton, Philip Hamilton was shot at pace 7 and then dies by the end of stay alive reprise for story structure. In history, Philip was shot way later and stays alive for at least about 3 hours which was remarkable for the time. Again they're adaptations rather than beat for beat tellings from what they are

T-Troublemaker Actually not true she fell in love with Thomas Seymour and was forced to give it up to marry Henry, but after Henry died she then went and married Thomas. They were only planning to get married before she married Henry.
Catherine of A: Divorced Anne B: Beheaded Jane: Died Anne of C: Divorced Catherine H: Beheaded Catherine P: Survived Henry: I’m Henry VIII I had Six Sorry Wives, Some might say I Ruined Their Lives
Its crazy how Catherine of Aragon and Anne of cleeves are divorced and they died because of cancer, Anne boleyn and Katherine howard are cousins and are beheaded because of the accusation of cheating and the last two are Jane seymour and Catherine parr died the same because of giving birth to a child!
Also: Catherine Parr married Jane’s brother Thomas who (possibly) molested the teenaged Princess Elizabeth when she lived with Parr for 7 years following her father death. Catherine Parr’s godmother was none other than Catherine of Aragon, she was named after her. And the woman who ‘helped’ Katherine Howard arrange her affair (Lady Jane Rochford, who was executed minutes before Katherine) was the wife of Anne Boleyn’s brother, George; executed in 1536 for treason and incest with Anne.
All: We hate Henry! Someone: Reasons? Aragon/Cleves: We got divorced with him! Boleyn/K Howards: We got beheaded! Parr: I left my love because of him Seymour: Umm.... Dunno. I just died naturally.
Henry threatened to kill Jane (reminded her of what happened to Anne Boleyn) when she spoke up and was very emotionally abusive:( but once she bore him a son, they were ok again until ded. So yes, she has reasons to hate him!
Fun Fact: Actually, the only one Henry actually married for love was Aragon and not Seymour Some time after being promised to her (who was his brother's widow btw) he truly fell in love, much because of her intelligence While he actually just married Seymour because he wanted a male heir and he only had 2 daughters from Aragon and Boleyn He started really loving Seymour after she gave him a male heir, but didn't last long cause she died days later, than he quickly married another
Yeah in fact Aragon was literally dirt poor when she married Henry. He literally saw himself as his knight in shining armor rescuing the damsel in distress. I believe he truly loved her until Anne came into the picture. And the rest? Jane Seymour he only loved after her death and only because she gave her a son. Anna of Cleves was like a sister to him and much better as a platonic friend than a lover, Katherine Howard he groomed, and Catherine Parr was just a nursemaid(who was also his first wife’s goddaughter 🤮). He actually tried to get her executed once actually lol. He was truly a disgusting, dishonorable man, undeserving of the royalty that was bestowed unto him.
“JANE SEYMOUR he only one he truly loved (Rude) When my son was newly born, I died But I'm not what I SEYMOUR am I? Stick around and you'll suddenly SEYMOUR!”
I just realized that at 1:04 - 1:05 they say ‘history is about to overthrown ‘ it can also be said as HIS STORY is about to be overthrown The word play in this musical is amazing
SlipperyCats the wikipedia page for anne of cleves spells it “anne” even if it is pronounced “anna.” and the lyric pages for the songs all spell it “anne” you can spell it however you want, but i’m just trying to say that it’s actually spelled the same as anne b’s.
In case you're curious Aragon: Her outfit represents her legacy as queen for 24 years Boleyn: A dress that would represent her immaturity Seymour: A funeral/wedding outfit (either or) since Henry loved her the most and she died after her son was born Cleaves: An expensive looking outfit to show the riches that Henry gave her Howard: An outfit for her promiscuity Parr: Her jumpsuit represents power and such for surviving Henry
Agree with all, but Anne. She wasn't immature at all. She made the king create a whole church for her! She also didn't jump in his bed hoping she would become the queen like mamy before her, but she played it cool and won. I think it is not about the shape of that dress, but the color-there is a song called Green Sleeves and it is believed to be written by Henry for Anne.
@@nataliacu5693 I mean green sleeves, "Henry wrote me a poem all about my green sleeves, I changed a couple words put it on a sick beat" kinda explains a lot.
Their outfits are actually based on modern day popstars/artists, aswell as their songs. Aragon's outfit is a silhouette reminiscent of Beyoncé's. Possibly to reference her Queen Bee status. Boleyn's is (possibly) based off of the artist Lily Allen, although for sure her song is based off of her discography. They both share an eccentric, colorful and sometimes vulgar nature in their songs. Cleves' outfit was based off of Nicki Minaj, while her song is a nod to Nicki and Rihanna. This really buys into her braggadocio nature in the song and confidence. Seymour's song and dress are heavily based off of Adele and her discography. Adele's songs usually consist of depressing and "moving on" themes, so yea. Howard's outfit is obviously heavily based on Ariana Grande's outfit silhouette while her song is heavily inspired by Britney Spears. Although, her outfit being the most revealing out of the Six does symbolize how sexualized she was and her "promiscuous" image in history, so yea. Parr is based off of Alicia Keys in terms of outfit and maybe song. Possibly representing her confidence due to the bold nature of Alicia's image. I hope I don't sound like a smart ass, but this is just what I found.

More fun lil facts with a History major:
Catherine Parr married Jane Seymour’s brother Thomas (the man she is singing about in ‘I Dont Need Your Love’).
"Stick around and you'll suddenly see more"

I love how Cathrine of Aragon has a big tiara because she’s the “true” queen of England, while Anna of Cleves has a smaller, irregular tiara because she was still princess of Wales before marrying Henry.
Edit: I apologize, Cathrine of Aragon was Princess of Wales before becoming Queen of England. However, after the marriage Anna was still seen as a very powerful and rich woman due to the divorce settlement. So the crown still fits.
They were also both divorced
I also find it interesting that Jane Seymour has a small crown that’s actually much closer to resembling a traditional one. Probably because she had the son, but she wasn’t really the “true” queen.

@@maydayjanette226 not really a fan of musicles, or Hamilton, but I can confidently say that Hamilton is far better than six. In general American musicals are a lot better than British ones
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy certain bits of the soundtrack of both, but as someone who can't stand sitting through musicals, I can tolerate Hamilton vs only enjoying 2 songs from six and not being able to sit through anything else without annoyance and boredom.

@Curly-n-Girly I think that because back then women weren’t allowed to wear pants it still shows power in a sort of way
