used a PETG frosted tube and filled with blue water. I sealed the ends and added fittings on each end I then went from the top to the bottom of the case. I used this as a replacement support. I cut the support and did the glass mod that you like to do. It makes the case less ridged when you remove the support. The tube I added in helped solve that and went well with the build. The pipe is not actually connected to the water loop but appears to be functional. It is not in the very corner like the original support, but helps the case feel more solid. Where I have it. I was going to put it in the very corner but it looked to obvious.

Looking forward to this build. Also, will the screws for the back of the case, the slots (PCI, GPU, etcetera) be painted, too?
PS: Maybe I missed it, but, how many coats did you put on?
I’m super excited for it for sure. Definitely nervous but I’m going to just take it day by day step by step. The screws won’t be painted because they’re something that gets messed with more and I feel like the paint would fade quickly. I put 3 coats of paint on it on most parts and 2 coats on some.

Awsome vid love the case mod definitely gonna do it just one thing I noticed if your just cutting out the support beam do you need to drill out the rivets
Yeah you still have to drill them out. There’s a bracket behind that doesn’t need to be there once you cut the beam off

Hello there, how did you manage to get to bare bone of the case ? I'm trying to remove the front panel (the small long one with the on/off button) but it seems really hard screwed

How much would you charge for that exact case I want it pink as well but maybe a little lighter something to match razers quartz color and the bar in front removed I was also hoping to get a grey (mercury) color instead of the pink on the glass parts how soon will I be able to place a order with you

Does the black case have tinted glass that scratches off? Was curious why you usually mod the white case. The black case you did, i noticed you outsourced the glass.
Yeah the black case on the old 011d had tinted glass but the paint and tint are permanent. They don’t come off. The white case (on the new 011d evo) has removable paint and it’s not tinted. It’s also low iron glass which is really nice.

@@willwilliams198 I haven’t tried it but according to other who have tried they told me it doesn’t come off unfortunately. Only way is to use custom glass

I am planning on doing this same exact mod for a white version but the repainting and cutting mod is what’s really stressful

Yeah it's definitely stressful. If you do it, just take your time and plan everything. Don't stress too much and I'm sure it'll be okay.
@@BuildsWithV just a quick question! Rather than removing the glue and paint from all sides could you just take out one side where the metal peace is removed? rather than repaint???? Have you tried that?
@@kemo9507 yeah that’s how I do it. I only do everything when I need to color swap
@@kemo9507 I cut the two small brackets off while it’s on the glass, gotta be extra careful so you don’t hit the glass. I cut half way and then heat and peel. Once it’s peeled I break it off by hand. Then when you’re scraping you carefully scrape and then try to make the line straight. The bottom bezel on the front is slightly larger than the bottom bezel on the side (idk why lian li did it this way) so it’s up to you if you want to scrape to make them equal size.

I can offer it, trying to get into it and might start selling stuff like this on Etsy or eBay. Haven’t worked out all the details yet. Want to make it affordable as well. My biggest issue is that it’s quite expensive typically for shipping. Plus case and I have to make some money too so it comes out to like $300 for the custom case

Yeah, you just have to be extra careful
@@BuildsWithV more than your way of doing it ?
@@pouetor with a color swap you just scrape everything so no need to really be worried about accidentally scraping too much. When you scrape just the corner you will want to be careful around the other bezels so you don’t accidentally scrape that off. I do it that way anytime I mod this case without color swap. Also when you cut the brackets on the front glass you have to be careful not to hit the glass with the cutting tool.
@@BuildsWithV yeah, I got it. Do you have any idea on how to scrap the paint in a straight line ? I'm thinking about using a metal piece as à guide ?
@@pouetor I usually just free hand it and it works out great for the most part. I’ve also used tape as a guide but that didn’t seem to do much. I’ve used a ruler as well which seemed to work best but sometimes it moves which is annoying

@@BuildsWithV instead I noticed that you don't see in the video the moment when you paint the glass pink, as you did in that case? particular spray? how much did you paint in cm width of the glass?
@@Ronals7 I used the same paint as I did for the case so that it will match. I think it’s just over 2cm for the bezel but I’d recommend a bit bigger. I may have to redo mine bigger because some of the brackets are showing

Black case has permanent paint and cannot be removed
