The virtual prison concept was developed by Star Trek Deep Space Nine episode "Hard Time"(1996), while the same year the concept was also used by the Outer Limits episode "The Sentence." In the first few minutes of this video I was rolling my eyes thinking they just plagiarized the idea, but this movie brings a fresh take.
If 1 minute = 1 year then with this technology you could live 4,204,800 years in 1 year. Imagine living for millions of years. On the other hand, what if you're tortured for millions of years?
The human mind probably wouldn't be able to handle it. The whole "Flaw" with living a long time is how the mind becomes "Clouded" Basically. It's even mentioned in tons of movies n comics n stuff, Plus you'd probably barely remember anything. IF your brain adapted it'd forget ALOT of stuff just to keep your brain functional.

A virtual prison makes sense, but a virtual prison to shorten convicts sentences in real life makes NO sense. Keeping convicts out of the general populace is the entire purpose of prisons..
the entire purpose of a prison should be to reform, maximum security is to keep people out of the public. prisons are schools for criminals to be better criminals.
