Here in Bulgaria the 350z already jumped up in value. There aren't much of them listed for sale but those that are are almost double what they were in the beginning of the year. There was even one particularly good example that was bought and resold several months later with about $8K premium.

Love the video and Jason as usual. That said - has anyone from Hagerty ever looked at prices for manual LP640s?? Those cars are incredibly rare and wildly expensive, way over $500k. Hard to believe that they're "undiscovered" when ultra high end dealers like Curated are listing them alongside Miuras and asking 7 figures for good examples...
Indeed, the '20-30%' premium over e-gear versions is quite outdated. It doesn't help that high-end dealers, and content creators, are essentially market-making since most examples go through them.
Perfect, just bought an R8 V8 manual in mint condition with low mileage a few months ago. Should be good alongside my C6 Z06 Z07 Centennial Edition and Evo IX. Sadly I buy these things, instantly fall in love with them and don't make any money selling them ever :D
@@randypobstofficial Randy, thank you for your comment, much appreciated. I will hold them for sure, especially the Z06 as it is my childhood hero. The Z07 cars are criminally underrated in my opinion. I live in Germany and this is a VERY exotic car over here (1 of 9 EU spec Centennial Editions ever built). The Evo IX with the 4G63 is an analogue gem as well. And the R8, that seeizes production by the end of next year, prices have to go up then, I'm almost certain they will. The question is am I willing to sell it, which seems more unlikely every time I drool over the shape, hear the shifter click through the gates or wind it past 6000 rpm and feel it come alive until its time to click again at 8000 - just beautiful. Very good selection you had in this video, love the content and also love both you and Jason. True enthusiasts!
The level of epic of this video is off the charts!!! Watching this is a joy and makes reading the magazine that much more enjoyable. Man Jason and Hagerty are just crushing it!
No matter how hard anyone tries, the AMC AMX was ahead of its time in the worst way - it brought the "design" of the gasoline-starved 1970s gas crisis into the late '60s. I don't care how it performed, this car is so bad. This video, on the other hand, is SO good. Hagerty is positively outstanding!
Love a lot of these, but the gem is the SLR, for me. I used to worship the Hummer/Humvee as a teen when I first started getting big into cars. A big part of why I chose to join the Marines, and become a diesel mechanic, which in turn was why I went reserves instead of active (only way to absolutely guarantee MOS choice) was to work on Humvees. I placed first in class on graduation from 3521 school, and was in the 3rd class trained on the then-new MTVR 7 ton from Oshkosh (which is a badass medium truck), and that whole "never meet your hero" adage couldn't have been more apt. I now have nothing but contempt for the humvee. It is a heinously inept truck, and is junk through and through. It's because of this experience I am ambivalent about ever experiencing my other teenage dream car, the AMG CLK-GTR. I'd rather hold on to the romanticized idea of that car than deal with the bitter taste of ashes if it too fails to meet the hyped status I have built for it in my mind over the last two and a half decades.
These vehicles sound SO much better than anything these companies are producing today. And I’m embarrassed to say that, I forgot how good that R8 looks. And sounds.
Rented a red R8 V8, with carbon trim and side blades on Turo for 3 nights, then a W205 C63 amg for 2 nights. One of the best birthday weeks i've ever had!
This was awesome. Thanks Hagerty! These 2 together is out of the pahk bub! Love it. And BTW what is that tune at 7:06? That was awesome. Sounds like the screaming trees or The Strokes? Great channel and well produced. Maybe insurance is 2 fiddle now! So good
I so much love that the Saab 900 made this list. I've owned three over the years and have been wanting another. Looks like I'm about to get priced out!
This video was awesome! My only gripe, no S2000? It just was weird to pick the Z when it doesn't seem like they are worth anything atm. I guess the nice ones will be worth something some day but I would take the Honda every time over the Nissan.
I think the Murcielago might just be my favorite super car ever made, I’ve never seen a video where it appears and is out shined by anything, a perfectly imperfect piece of automotive history

Bull market was pretty good, I purchased a first gen mr2 because they said back in 2018 or so they would go up in value and they did. Wish I was smart enough to have kept it until now 😭
Absolutely EPIC!! Glad you enjoyed the Nismo Z. I loved that car, and awesome to see it sliding the track one last time. The new owner is enjoying it just as much!
Oh, gawd, NOW you tell me it was for sale?! lol - but seriously, I that thing sounded brilliant and was a riot. Thank you - and I can't wait to see that thing on the street somewhere!
All the lightweighting effort on the C5 Z06 was worth it in the end as it had one of the fastest Ring times and lap times of any production car at the time. "When the C5 Corvette Z06 clocked its 7:56 time, it was a pretty big deal. GM claimed it was the first production car to break past the eight-minute mark."
@@jgrodz8889 I'm pretty sure an SLR McLaren is unattainable for most of us right now, whether they appreciate well in the future or not, so kind of a moot point don't you think....
It literally does not deserve any 'recognition', as it was a complete dud and a mistake. Even McLaren itself was embarrassed about the thing by the time they started to see what Mercedes' forced compromises are starting to result in, during the development process.
I agree with this list. But some other notable mentions. 88 to 01 SL 500. Gen 1 bmw 8 series. Gen 1 audi allroad. Any Subaru STI manual. Early 2000s toyota 4runners. Gen 1 and Gen 2 Landrover disco. Any manual volvo wagons. Gen 1 viper. Mercedes 190E.
Another great Hagerty video! Keep up the good work! Side note: Late model Jeep Cherokees (XJ). I think XJs in good condition are going up in value while staying a little under the radar.
Merci and Audi gave me chills. Been such a disconnect with the recent car market and direction of the hybrid Ev tec push. I’m game for sustainability but the Bull market is real. These are the cars generations fell in love with. 📈
wow... i don't know how i've never heard of this channel. I watch stuff like this daily but somehow youtube never recomended. Love the 350z and the AMX
I check every day for a new Hagerty video...BUT...if Jason is not in it, I don't watch it. No offense to the other hosts, but Jason is just on a different level. NEVER STOP DRIVING!!!
The Corvette C5Z is the best bang for buck...period. I owned a 2004 Z16 and it was stupid good stock, let alone after some well planned engine and suspension mods.
It bears pointing out that anyone that can afford a gated manual murcielago isn't concerned with a 401k or any other kind of retirement. And anyone that purchased one new and still has it, now that they have appreciated to well over half a million dollars probably isn't beating it on a track, though surely some are. Also, in what world is there an SLR McLaren for sale? Not this one!
oh boy! What a treat!! thank you, guys!! One doesn't need a crystal ball to see that these cars might have already appreciated in value after this glorious production got released :)
This is just car content on another level. Combining finance with cars gets the nerd in me excited. I would so celebrate an episode covering cheaper (perhaps forgotten) cars. I will give you my first (biased) tip: MG ZS180
I grew up with the SAABS and they really are good drivers cars, can easily run 600 miles and not be tired at all. Good luck finding parts though, thats the downside on some of these cars.
Just lovely as usual. What a collection of truly astounding cars (and a motorcycle). I watched this video with the brightness at max and with the most highest resolution my connection could handle and it was beautiful! Amazing video Hagerty, truly a special one.
I'm only like 1 minute in, and already mad that the Suzuki Cappuccino is on the list. Because this means, current owners will see it, and jack prices up even more. And that means it'll be even harder for the people who can/would enjoy them, be able to obtain them. Like myself.
Yeah, apologies on that. We just flat-out ran out of time. (And I was sick beyond belief.) We did all we could do - which wasn't enough on that Toyota!

I love the chemistry between you and Randy. I hope you get to keep making videos together.
Juan cornhole-io?
The level of epic of this video is off the charts!!! Watching this is a joy and makes reading the magazine that much more enjoyable. Man Jason and Hagerty are just crushing it!
As a man in my late 20s I'm glad I discovered my love of old bikes and cars early. I have so much time to drive/ride the cooler older machines.
The quality and presentation of Jason's videos is truly next level. I enjoy and watch every single one and forward them to every car guy I know.
One of the reasons I bought a 911 a few months ago. Loving the joy of driving it, and they hold there value damn well.
Gotta love the blue smoke coming out of the 350z's exhaust on those close-ups.
That is the most beautiful Murcielago ive ever seen. That spec is perfect.
And sounds.
The C8 Z06 sounds amazing frm the factory....
@@Forever.Remain.Nameless ditto.
Rented a red R8 V8, with carbon trim and side blades on Turo for 3 nights, then a W205 C63 amg for 2 nights. One of the best birthday weeks i've ever had!
I love it when Jason and Randy get together, you know it's going to be good!!!
So good
Goosebumps, high class material, like good old TopGear with Clarkson. Chapeau bas.
The Lambo, the R8 and the SLR gave me Need for Speed flashbacks. It was Most Wanted times all over again, those noises
These videos are so well put together
I think the Murcielago might just be my favorite super car ever made, I’ve never seen a video where it appears and is out shined by anything, a perfectly imperfect piece of automotive history
I will never forget seeing the first Audi R8 when they came out. Beautiful.
such a beautiful video! exceptional production and such a good collection of cars (and a motorcycle). it's hard to believe that we get to watch videos of such quality for free. hagerty hiring jason and randy is one of the best things to have happened to car youtube!
That Nismo Z was so cool to me when I had my base model. Emulated the look of the Super GT car they raced back then
Bull market was pretty good, I purchased a first gen mr2 because they said back in 2018 or so they would go up in value and they did.
Finally, the SLR gets the recognition it deserves. Man I’ve waited for this moment forever
Do you own one? Probably not. Do you realize it “getting the recognition it deserves” means it will be harder for you to purchase one?
Great list and I would drive or ride any of these cars. The Jason and Randy combination is great.
Cammisa RULES AGAIN!
Ingenious guy that always can put a smile in your face! Well done!
P.S. make it series!
18:00 ++ Respect for Randy. It's takes skill, a scientific mind and a bit of luck to stay that athletic at his age.
Another great Hagerty video! Keep up the good work!
Side note: Late model Jeep Cherokees (XJ). I think XJs in good condition are going up in value while staying a little under the radar.
XJ's will go up as the herd thins out. That's how it went with SJ's.
Yes! I have a 2000 XJ 4.0 Orvis here in Scotland - might sell it early next year to fund something else, but would probably kick myself later.
One of the best videos ever seen! You're legends. Anyone who knows the song at min. 17? AMC car presentation?
As always, a great video..
The SLR is seriously underrated!
Oh my GAWD that R8 and Murci scenes were incredible. I had black R8 V10 I miss so much now... hope to pick up another gen 1 R8 in the future
Merci and Audi gave me chills. Been such a disconnect with the recent car market and direction of the hybrid Ev tec push. I’m game for sustainability but the Bull market is real. These are the cars generations fell in love with. 📈
omg! so happy you invluded Saab there, im a huge fan of then and my dad just bought one!!
I love this type of content, and the Lambo, and R8 are beautiful cars. So timeless in their silhouettes.
wow... i don't know how i've never heard of this channel. I watch stuff like this daily but somehow youtube never recomended. Love the 350z and the AMX
Never...heard...?!? Gasp. Okay, then you have a LOT of catching up to do!
@@JasonCammisa believe me, i’m as surprised as you are my friend. Glad it popped up in my rec’s today! Cheers
There’s something oddly fitting about Randy driving that AMX. 🤣
Yeah, I was alive when they came out, haha. I’d own one in a minute. Two-seater American muscle car!
What! He's no more goofy than the rest of the AMC world. Good to see so many AMC products (2, including the Hummer) on the list.😎👍
I check every day for a new Hagerty video...BUT...if Jason is not in it, I don't watch it. No offense to the other hosts, but Jason is just on a different level.
NEVER STOP DRIVING!!!
KEEP UP THE CAMMISA VIDEOS… THATS WHY WE KEEP COMING BACK
KEEP SCREAMING IN THE COMMENTS, that's why *I* COME BACK! WOOO!
The Corvette C5Z is the best bang for buck...period. I owned a 2004 Z16 and it was stupid good stock, let alone after some well planned engine and suspension mods.
You two guys are so great together.
Excellent job fellas. More please!!
Don't squirrel your pennies away folks. Live a little. Buy a car. By a car like these, or a motorcycle. The only guarantee in life is today.
oh boy! What a treat!! thank you, guys!!
One doesn't need a crystal ball to see that these cars might have already appreciated in value after this glorious production got released :)
Jason Cammisa & Randy Pobst duo is goated.
This is just car content on another level. Combining finance with cars gets the nerd in me excited.
I would so celebrate an episode covering cheaper (perhaps forgotten) cars. I will give you my first (biased) tip: MG ZS180
Jason and randy ,a perfect combo for fun packed car videos.
Dear Hagerty, I will watch ANYTHING that Jason puts out! Please keep him happy.
-A customer that pays for your collectors' car insurance
I grew up with the SAABS and they really are good drivers cars, can easily run 600 miles and not be tired at all. Good luck finding parts though, thats the downside on some of these cars.
Just lovely as usual. What a collection of truly astounding cars (and a motorcycle). I watched this video with the brightness at max and with the most highest resolution my connection could handle and it was beautiful! Amazing video Hagerty, truly a special one.
Omg Jason and Randy made this so amazing!!! Keep up the amazing work Hagerty. These videos are amazing 🔥
I'm only like 1 minute in, and already mad that the Suzuki Cappuccino is on the list. Because this means, current owners will see it, and jack prices up even more. And that means it'll be even harder for the people who can/would enjoy them, be able to obtain them. Like myself.
We need more time with the Toyota pickup!
Disappointed it got such a short time slot without even driving it!
Yeah, apologies on that. We just flat-out ran out of time. (And I was sick beyond belief.) We did all we could do - which wasn't enough on that Toyota!
Thanks for making me smile after a long, hard year. You guys rock. Wishing you the best over Christmas and NY
