As an early childhood specialist who has worked with and helped countless children, with Jack's tantrums what you want to do is wait for him to calm down before addressing him. Ignore the tantrums and whining, or say in a simple, calm voice "we can talk when you're calm". That will reinforce positive communication which is really essential to his development. Now is the age for him to learn it! Another idea: having a cozy calm-down area with pillows, books, and fidgets is helpful, so he has a place to go to settle down if he gets upset. We have one in every classroom I've worked in and they are just great at helping kids settle themselves and regulate. Also, validating his emotions (saying: I can see you are frustrated. Go and calm down, then we can talk) will work wonders. It seems like he is thriving on the attention he gets when he throws a tantrum or whines right now. It's very typical behavior at his age, but it needs to be corrected when it happens or it becomes much less cute when they are 5 years old and are still throwing themselves on the floor if they don't get what they want. Once they are taught how you expect them to behave, they will rise to the expectations. I hope this helps, I noticed all the meltdowns and wanted to offer some tips.
Children this Young should have help to calm Down i believe. I see what you mean and Think there are a lot from it you Can use. But at a Young age they should not be left alone or made a Big deal out of it just be available and help Them calm Down maybe ask if they need a little time alone when they g’et calmer. I would never leave a child alone a tantum is not being naughty its dealing with emotions and i remember it was often not the emotions that seemed to trigger it but something deeper. Offer Them presense and support and comford . When they are calmer talk ask what is going on or do you need a little break alone. Then initiale play or cosy time or ask if they Will join you in what you do. Dont be upset but stay calm if possible at all . As they g’et older and have more skills handling emotions it Can be beneficial to give Then a break alone but still talk to Them deprnding of the reason and reaction. Thats just my oppinion and experience after being a parent and working in a kindergarden ect and Reading tons og books. Its the scandinavian Way i guess. Im danish. We have been called the happiest people in the world
When my kids were school age and started whining, I told them I don’t speak, “Whinese”. They needed to gather themselves, and calmly and respectfully, voice their concerns.
When I lived on Oahu all the radio stations participated in 'The Posse'. You just called in and let them know the details of when and where your car was stolen and they announced it so all the listeners kept a eye out for the car. Helped the police recover the cars extremely fast before the thief had a chance to strip the car or do much damage. Often the thief would hear himself being tailed by several someones on the radio and just abandon the car and take off before the police could get there. What happened to The Posse ?
It’s normal at this age for kids to act up when a new baby arrives. They feel confused, insecure, needy, etc. You both are doing such a great job. It will help other young parents.
They're doing a fantastic job. There was 4 years between my brother and I so I was mummy and daddies little princess for 4 years and isn't quite grasp that he wasn't going back to where he came from and when I realised he was staying I was not a happy bunny I went from a well behaved little girl to a very naughty little girl. My mum started to bottle feed my brother and got me involved in his care which helped but I was older than little Jack.
I adore this couple. It's so amazing to see how supportive they are towards each other. I keep coming back for more content to remind myself that this is the kind of partnership I want and deserve and I shouldn't settle for anything less.
Becare full what you say on camera! Someone is always up to no good, it's the world we live in. One of the reasons I watch your family is because it's so wholesome and a breath of fresh air. Good luck to you all!
Please be careful, guys, especially with two young kids. Maybe your strong presence in social media makes you more vulnerable to sketchy people. There are many mean people, no matter where you are, yes, even in paradise island some can only dream of living/visiting. Stay safe. Best ❤
Oh man!! You lost some expensive stuff!! It was a reminder to not ever leave your kids in the car while you go get something real fast. They will take kids and all. So sorry for your troubles!! Jack is so cute, and going through the tough 2's & more. He has been the only child with all the attention, so he is very sensitive!! Your both such WONDERFUL PARENTS WITH LOTS OF LOVE & PATIENCE!! BRAVO YOU TWO!!! ❤️💜❤️💜❤️💜❤️💜❤️
As a parent who once had a highly sensitive and spirited toddler (they're 26 now), I can assure you that Jack's intensity and sensitivity, coupled with your connected and positive parenting style, will manifest itself into exceptional talent, ability and creativity. You two are doing a great job with him.
@@superdave7205 my adult child is non-binary who uses they/them pronouns. I have no idea about the toddler in the video, I assume they'll figure out their identity as they mature. I was simply referring to their highly-spirited nature.
@@RSUDE from a very early age they were highly, emotionally sensitive. They cried a lot. They walked early, they talked really early. Instead of talking as a preschooler, they often sang instead. There was evidence of early musical and theatrical talents. Early signs of perfectionism in school and art... Just to name a few. There's a lot that I've learned now that they're an adult and we can talk about it and have hindsight.
watching new parents dealing with toddler meltdown is fricking hilarious... reminds me of the difference between how I reacted to my toddler meltdowns when I was 20 versus my last toddler (surprise baby) meltdown when I was 42. you guys are doing great
I had my first baby at 21 and second baby at 26. Then…surprise! Pregnant at 41!!!! Our little guy is 6 months old, so he isn’t yet having tantrums, but my husband and I have such a different perspective now vs when we were new parents in our 20s. I think it’s important to remember that kids go through so many phases and stages and to try to be patient and keep a level head. They are only little for such a short time. Like all things “this too shall pass.”
I am glad the parents stay so patient. I am sure they are looking into how gradually to start to 'deal' with this. The brain develops until a person is about 25 years so there's a long way to go. There are little things parents can start already doing to start build up a child's patience, reactions and a tiny bit of emotion regulation. Not too much as it is just a tiny little kid still. Lovely loving family!
@vintage lover6 omg thats exactly what I did. This year I will have a 35 yr old a 32 yr old and a 20 yr old. Kept me young. Now I have two grandchildren aged 5 and 14
Helpful tip for keeping your apartment clean with kids: buy about 8 laundry baskets! Use one for all the socks in your family. Use the rest for gathering up toys, putting clean laundry in them, and pretty much everything. You can pile them on top of each other for quick cleanups and not feel so overwhelmed. Cheap solution for your sanity. BTW, laundry baskets are perfect for days out. You can toss everything you need for the kids for the day from extra clothes to toys. They hose off and are a lot easier to get to things. It gets easier!
You are both very patient, kind parents. Two is very sweet and fun, but get used to meltdowns. They pretty much don’t end until age five. Always keep in mind that your children aren’t giving you a hard time-they are having a hard time. Bless.
I’m only 7 minutes in, and don’t know all the details but, I had to pause the video to thank Derrick for being such a great husband. Encouraging you to go out with your friends, and being gentle and understanding. I wish I had that kind of support.
Oh y'all r the sweetest fam I've ever saw! And the best hubby too I wish I could send my hubby to let yours train him how to be so sweet you got the best hubby and y'all r just adorable!! We have 7 kiddos and yes the meltdowns Can get crazy with my 2 year old right now sooo bad loL and about the messy house don't feel bad it just means your doing great with your babies I know the days I'm tending to my littles the most are the days the house gets let go and mine is way worse than yalls prayers for y'all to stay safe that's so scary be careful I know I'll never leave my kids out in car to run in anymore either after watching this you just never know!!!
@@cbhjsrmommy Sounds like we’re living similar lives. I have 2 kids though. A 2 year old, and a 14.5 year old. Both tough ages. I feel like a maid, a cook, a counselor, and a taxi most days. It’s easy to get lost and frazzled in all of that. You’re very strong to be tending to 7 at one time! Bless you and your family. I wish both our spouses would learn a thing, or two from Derrick. 😊
@K E I’ve commented before on what a great wife and mother she is. I specifically stated Derrick in this because Sarah just gave birth, and a lot of men don’t understand what a toll that takes on a woman physically, mentally, or emotionally. Mine included. Derrick clearly understands and supports her in every way. For his gentle kindness and understanding he certainly deserves to be praised. I’m not understanding why that’s a problem for you.
One thing I've learned is when these seemingly senseless things happen there's usually a lesson to learn. You guys nailed it. Sometimes people don't even think twice leaving a kid in the car to dash back in the house in 'just a minute', but now, you guys won't ever do that. A car stolen to save you from having a kid stolen is a cheap lesson learned. No guilt and no shame in cheap lessons learned.
Yes! My husband is from the country. Where they leave things in their car and don’t lock the doors. They even heat up the car with no one in it because they’re so far away from people no one would bother casing their house or car. We live in the city now and I keep being like dude! Don’t leave your valuables in the car people will steal them!!! He won’t listen and when someone breaks his windows to get his fancy video game system maybe he’ll learn. 😅 Glad everyone in the family is safe and sound. Be careful out there guys.
I very much appreciate that you guys at least mention when Jack has a meltdown, otherwise people could have the impression they’re doing something wrong because Jack is always calm, nice and excited when something happens.
No accountability? What about the individuals that are crossing our border. We have 30,000 a month. Do you realize what's happening to our country? The uptick of individuals getting kidnapped. Children. People men and women. There is a story, young lady in Texas. Hanging out with her boyfriend and friends. She was talking with a group of girls had her back to the street. Thank goodness her boyfriend's friend followed her over there. Watching her. And her boyfriend just oblivious to her. Men drove up close and tried to grab her through the window. If it wasn't for her boyfriend's friend. She would have been robbed. No joke she broke up with her boyfriend and she's actually dating that fella I was like awesome. Smart girl.. There's a fella that had his truck stolen but it was stolen by being parted out. It was stripped of everything. Behind a gate. He got a new truck. They did it again.. Oh we have crime going on left and right. And these individuals are put right back on the streets. As a matter of fact, an officer died chasing a carjacker fell off a bridge. And these individuals were felons. many of the people that are doing crime such as drunk driving wild stealing cars it's been up to King so hugely. In New York I watch some guy almost get carjacked but he drove him into another vehicle smart man. No accountability. This is huge. We're talking the workings within our whole system and our government. Yeah no accountability. This is huge
@@MzClementine well this is in Hawaii and there are no borders there… it’s also the most isolated place on earth. And yes in America different states do operate differently and what one does when it comes to crime and punishment can be pretty dang different from another one
I had my van stolen one time! My husband at the time went to start it to warm it up for the kids and we came out it was gone! We finally got it back after a couple of days but they threw out all 4 car seats and I literally had to clean the van throughly because they found all kinds of drugs in it. So I am very sorry that happened to you all!
Did you know Texas passed a law like 30 years ago that your car is not considered stolen if it had it keys in it. Because cops were sick of it and insurance did not want if the their had been handed the keys?
Please make it your first priority to change them locks....and be careful whoever is stealing from you guys are probably watching all the time to see what they can grab next. Prayers sent for your safety. ❤️
Yes plz change the locks and make sure your windows are locked always. And it’s so easy to think oh I’ll just run in for a second when the kids are buckled in but don’t do it. If someone is watching that’s the very second they’ll make their move. Your babies are so beautiful. If it means taking them back out of the car then take them back out. I guess if they’re strapped in and the doors are locked and you have the keys in hand, might be ok but gosh you never know. Don’t want to live in fear by any means but being cautious is a good practice. Stuff can be replaced and it’s of no eternal value but our loved ones can’t be replaced. ❤
I am so proud of you for seeing that Sara needs time alone with friends.. having 2 kids while they are so small. It will get easier...as sunny gets bigger ...
As someone who has had a car stolen, I know how scary and violating it feels. I’m so sorry you guys have been having to deal with this on top of everything. I hope things get better for you guys❤️
I'm so sorry for what all you two have been going through, especially while trying to deal with a two year old and a new baby. I am however so thankful that neither of you were hurt or the kids. Please, don't fight someone over property. You never know what weapons they may have on them or how desperate they may be to steal it. Your health and safety is much more important. Jack and Sunny need their mom and dad, not things. ❤️
Have you tried any sensory play stations ? The non messy ones of course, I can tell Jack is super bright, he probably just needs more things to "discover" and "investigate" he's a super learner, I love watching you guys navigate his stages, because I feel your tenderness with him, it's awesome
I want to thank you for showing your home how it is and not fake. Living with children is not a life and cleaning up is so extreme difficult, never knew myself that it is normal that a messy house is not a priority, much love!
sunny is growing so fast. She is soo cute! I wish you all to be safe ! Go and change thoses locks on your doors, your children safety is priceless. I hope you'll feel less targeted as time goes by. Scary adventures. Hold on, you are doing great. Sarah, the most important is that it is just material, no one was harmed. It's okay. You will all get through this ! Sending good vibes ! 🙏
Aw so sorry for your misfortune. You both are awesome parents who love your kids, as it would be. If I could offer a suggestion (which I would guess you get plenty of!) cute lil Jack looks about the right age to learn to pick up toys and put them away. As children get older you could maybe start them on another chore. Ie make their beds, sweep floors. Then start them on a allowance. Nothing big, but then you can teach them to save money. Responsibility, learning to help others, respect , and saving!❤️
First off Sunny! Her hair color and skin combination is like a porcelain doll! SO beautiful and that coral is her color!!! 🤩 Second your winter outfits are adorable! That sweater looks so nice on you! Lastly praying God will dispatch angels to watch over and protect you! 🙏🏼 Hope you find your car and the thief that stole it! 🙏🏼
I first have to say how sorry I am about all the thefts. Thats so scary. Ill be keeping you in my prayers. Get those locks changed. Secondly I am empathetic to Jacks age and the tantrums. My daughter was prone to them. I remember the doctor said to walk away and dont pay attention to her when she was in melftdown. I would walk off and do dishes and she would get up in mid meltdown and drop herself at my feet and continue lol. Not the best advise ever. Thankfully they outgrow them. :)
Man, the day that goes by and your home is no longer a mess, you're gonna be sat missing all the good times 🙂 it's best to live your life now and don't sweat the small stuff. As long as it's only clutter and clothes, who cares lol. So sorry about your run of bad circumstances tho. Don't let them eat at you, change the locks, be more aware of you surroundings ALL the time, and look out for each other like you always do! 😘 luv you guys!
I love that you guys show your house messy! My mom was a neat freak and I have always felt like a failure because I could never live up to it. Seeing your house this way helps me know it is normal!
Agreed with previous reply. Please be careful! I second that. There are sickos in this world that want what you two have. They don’t get that you work for it, it doesn’t just happen. I think you’re both lovely inside and out🥰 hope you’re insured? Good luck. You guys are so loved❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m so sorry that happened. I just moved back home to Hawaii (Oahu) a year and a half ago and I can’t believe all the crazy stuff that’s been happening and I’m not sure why people think it’s ok to steal. That’s not the Hawaii I left when I was younger. I pray all things work out for you guys and that the car is found.
My friend lives there. Not sure which Island but he always posts the stolen stuff. There is an actual fb page dedicated to it..very sad. It's everywhere.
My cousin and his wife were career Navy and had been stationed in Hawaii. They were transferred out but, after they both retired, they decided it was where they wanted to live. He did say there was a lot of theft there -- more than anywhere they were stationed -- and was the "only drawback of living there" but another time he said there was a lot of drugs too. Stay safe, guys!
One of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever been given for cleaning is combine it with other tasks that’s are habits! Ex.) while you’re brushing your teeth clean off the bathroom counter, while you’re waiting for the shower to heat up pick some laundry up off the floor. Just super simple things like that, it doesn’t take any extra time and helps to keep things a bit tidy especially when you’re so busy with everything else! I believe in you guys!!
You are both so incredibly chill about the car theft plus the other things stolen. I feel so bad for you and I hope they find the person who did this. Stay safe guys!
I don't think they are chill about it. They mentioned lots of tears and I'm sure a bit of anger there too, but they're calm when discussing it some days or weeks later when they filmed this.
@Banyo yes, you're right. I wasn't thinking about the time lapse. I meant no disrespect whatsoever. What I meant, is that they don't get on social media and rant. These folks deal with life's ups and downs with a great deal of maturity
@Laurie oh, I didnt think you did, just mentioning what they said. You're right though too. We all deal with terrible things but sometimes it's how we handle the situations which can make all the difference in how we move on from them.
We put air tags on all valuables, not that that makes you feel better right now . There are some horrible people out there to take a car with baby seats in it is sickening. Love you guys ❤
You are such a wonderful couple. When my day goes crazy…as it usually does, just to sit and watch the “perfect family” show such amazing love and support for one another…and doing such an amazing job parenting ends my day perfectly. I am so sorry to hear about that knucklehead stealing your car. You didn’t deserve that and it is definitely not your fault. Thanks for sharing your beautiful perfect family with the rest of the world. You deserve happiness, joy, love, and prosperity. God bless.
I hear you guys mention in more than one video and social media post how Sunny "isn't your child" because of her dark hair. A few minutes later in this video Sara says "don't say that, Jack will hear this someday"... Well: So will Sunny. I'm sure you're jokingly saying it, but you're saying it quite a lot, I feel. And I've just started following you weeks before Sunny's birth....
Sarah! I leave my keys in my car everyday! It can literally happen to anybody! This is so common! And as for Jack's constant meltdowns, try ur hardest not to feed into them! It's just cuz hes not the only child anymore and as long as he knows his fits wont be catered to he will stop, i promise.
I love that you show us when Jack has a meltdown, you are so real about it. Lots of people try to hide and pretend they are perfect. You're doing a great job! I'm so sorry to hear about your car, I hope it all works out and please be safe.
You guys are awesome parents! My 3 kids, were 2 years apart. My first one was spoiled rotten… being the first one ya know?! We had melt downs… my second was the perfect baby; she never cried or had temper tantrums. Super easy. Third was spoiled by his 2 sisters; being the only boy. Interestingly enough; the middle ‘easy baby’ is the one who gave me the most problems as a teenager lol. The first girl gave me a run for my money too but it was more normal teen stuff. The boy was the most rambunctious and was a climber and into EVERYTHING! He turned out to be the perfect teen, meeting his wife when he was 13 and married her at 22 and they are 31 now. So, hang in there guys! It will be one heck of a ride for sure…but loads of fun! ❤
I think everyone will agree... we love you and love the fact that you share your life. Most people hide their lifestyle. Sarah and Derrick, I really hope you all are safe. All my positive energy is being sent your way.
My son also had many meltdowns at that age. I don't think you can do much about it other that trying to take it easy and know that he will grow out of it. You seem very empathetic and loving, and you're there for him - that's what's important 💕
There is evil everywhere in the world, unfortunately. My house was ransacked as we all were at my dad’s wake, which was 8 hours. He was very active in the community and they posted an article of his achievements and wake hours. I can understand what you are going through. It’s a feeling of being vulnerable and out of control. I’m so sorry you are dealing with this.
Something similar happened to a friend of mine in highschool whose dad died. We were 18 and he had a 3 younger brothers. 17,15 and 3. We live in the Midwest but they buried him in Texas. When they got home the house had been torn apart and a bunch of stuff stolen. The fact that people can be such scum never fails to astound me! I felt so bad for his mom. Here she was a widow at 40 something with 4 children and comes home from burying her husband only to find she's been robbed. 💔 I'm so sorry this happened to you!!
With 2 small children you guys are doing the best that you can. You and Derick are doing an amazing job with a newborn and a toddler.., ummmm...... That's not easy. We all have struggles and I love the fact that you guys keep it so real and show that your kids are having bad days and that parenting is hard. As much as you try and clean your house it will get messy in 1 minute. That's why we love 💕💕 you!!! I love you guys so much!!!😍😍 It is such a comfort to me that you guys named your daughter sonny!! My niece sonny died at the sweet age of 20 from leukemia. She was so beautiful. My sister's only child. She had dark hair just like your beautiful daughter but I think Sara is right Your daughter's hair is going to turn much lighter. Honestly I was expecting for her to be born with blonde hair. Also Sarah your body looks so AWESOME!! Especially after having 2 kids so close together!! YOU LOOK AMAZING! Looks like you never had 1 child let alone 2. So sorry about your car. People can be such asshole douche bags. Remember to stay you, stay true, and stay beautiful.... Quote from Justine armistead. 🥰🥰
I'm so sorry for all the losses yall have had. Please please GET YOU LOCKS CHANGED ASAP! I hope everything is recovered intact, down to the car seats bc those are not cheap. Jack & Sunny are precious. Sunny favors Jack so much, both just adorable. ❤️ Yall are doing a great job as parents. God bless.
So so sorry to hear of all the stuff you’ve lost to thieves! It’s just so sad how much it’s happening these days. I get depressed just reading the posts on my Nextdoor app, cuz so much bad is going on! On a side note, my husband and I had our car stolen off our driveway about 6:a.m. one morning while our neighbor across the street watched them drive away. The idiot even waved to our neighbor and our neighbor waved back thinking we loaned our car to a friend! So much sin in the world! 😢. Sarah, what are the things you put under your eyes so eye makeup doesn’t get on your cheeks? I need those! The kids are adorable….you ALL are! Love watching!
Toddlers HATE their choices being made for them. Don't take the toy away. Ask for it. It will take a while for them to relinquish it, but this can be taught. Jack is at an age where he knows he is a separate being from you and wants to decide for himself. (Of course, with parental guidance) Firmness, patience in love is key here. No giving in. FYI
Oh my gosh, I couldn't even imagine how stressful that might be! I hope everything with the move and stuff goes well and I'll be praying for safety!! And oh my goodness, Sunny looks like Jack!! They are both so adorable and don't worry, the meltdown stage will get better!!! Love you guys! ❤️
Don't ever put your kids in the car and then run up to grab something. Whatever it is you have to grab is not more important than your kid. Never ever ever ever ever leave them in the car even for what you think is just a second. It's in the news too often how somebody was carjacked or their car was stolen and their baby was in the car. Don't think you're safe just because you're on an island.
I am so sorry to hear about your car and the car seats. More importantly, you are all safe. Thank the lord the kids weren't in the car. On a different note, Can Sarah do a make-up tutorial? Her makeup is always on point. I know it's a little different than the normal content but I would love to learn from her!
You guys are so super adorable. I’m so sorry about your car. I just can’t believe it!! It’s so hard to understand why people would do stuff like that to others. My prayers for you and your family. God bless.
I'm sorry you have lost your car. How scary too because what parent hasn't ran back inside for something with their kids in their car seat. About Jack's tantrums and whining. I worked as a daycare provider for 17 years and worked as a nanny for about 10 years. So I have been with at least 100 tots, plus my own kids too, so I have had to learn. I can tell you that some kids have tantrums and some don't. My daughter did but my son didn't. My daughter was my 2nd child. I learned over the years the best ways to handle tantrums. First of all, I think your patience is great and you offering something else and taking care of and solving whatever he is having a whiny moment over is great too. In doing that you are teaching him that he matters and that he can trust you to be there for him and do it calmly and not scream at him or get angry at him. That builds trust. Your child knows what to expect from you. However, what you do not want him to learn from this is that his needs are the "only" needs that matter, and nobody else's needs matter when he is upset. That will create a narcissist as he grows. So not always making his wants the most important thing is also important. Keeping a healthy balance regarding the messages that your behavior relays back to him will help him grow well rounded emotionally. Some kids have tantrums for 6 or 7 years. Thankfully that is rare. My brother did and I hated it as his big sister. He did that because my mother just ignored his tantrums and let him have them as long as he wanted to have them. She did nothing but ignore him during the tantrum. And it did not work to solve anything. It only made life for the rest of us very stressful. My suggestion is not always putting his tantrum first. Have talks with Jack about these tantrums and the whining when he is in a good mood. Explain to him that he needs to practice patience and self control and explain to him how he can do that. First come up with a plan. I think making a space for him to go to to do calm down and do activities in that is a safe spot, with pillows and soft toys is a good idea. And tell him during the talk that if you are busy when he is having a tantrum or being real fussy, that he needs to go to that spot till he is feeling better and is feeling he has self control again. When talking to him about this plan let him know that when he is done being fussy and is calm and playing calmly that when you are done doing what you were doing that he will get a special treat for being able to calm down and have self control even though he was upset. Teach him self calming breathing and words he can say to himself. For a reward, you could also make a treat bag that he can stick his hand in to get a treat from when it is all over. Put small treats in there. This way he will work on it and have something to look forward to. It could include cards with something fun to do together written on it. Be creative but keep it a real small treats and activites that are quick to do. Even if he has good reason to be fussy, like being hangry, it does not hurt to reinforce better behavior by using these methods at least some of the time, like when you are busy. This will put a positive spin on you not always being able to put his wants first, while teaching him that everything needs to have balance and everyone's needs matter. One other thing that will really help if his behavior is due to baby sister being in the family now is to say things to Jack, as if the baby us talking to Jack. For example, Sunny thinks you're the best big brother and she loves you. Or Sunny missed you and want you to come sit beside her and talk to her for a minute because she loves you and missed you. She wants to hear your voice. Make sure baby sister is bragging on Jack and building him up and that Jack knows she loves him. This way he won't feel like she is as much a threat to him.
My husband grew up in Oahu and there's a chance you may have been targeted/taken less seriously with the police because you're from the main land. I hope you are able to get your truck back, I'm sorry that happened to you!
So sorry to hear this happened to you guys! It’s something we all do. I live in the UK and during our cold spells, I literally leave my car running in our drive to deice it. Things like this definitely make you think twice. ☹️
You can have a remote starter put on your car. When our daughter went to college up north we had it put on her car for about $400. She was able to remotely start her car from her apartment say 20 minutes early and the car remained locked. By the time she came downstairs the car and engine were warm and even if the windshield was not completely defrosted, it was very simple to finish scraping vs the windshield being coated with ice.
So sorry to hear about your troubles, the pair of you work so hard to be good parents and treat each other with kindness and understanding. I had my car stolen, had picked my husband up from work in my car, he left his keys for work with the a key to my car in the open console in the car, didn't notice because it was dark. Well, the next morning went to go to work but the only thing in the driveway was some broken car window glass. Got the car back, the transmission was trashed, and the insurance company wouldn't fix a thing because my husbands keys were left in the car, didn't matter a window was broken to get in...hopefully your insurance will pay. Stay strong!
Sorry that happened to you. I respect you Sara for taking responsibility as you did leave the keys in the car as well left the doors open. Thank God the babies weren't in their car seats. Lesson learned for us all and now on to better days. God Bless.
I am so thankful neither one of the kids were in the car!!! I think Sunny’s hair will get lighter with time, it definitely has a blonde undertone to it. Other than her hair colour though, she honestly looks just like her big brother!
Car theft happens way too frequently nowadays 😡. I almost got mine stolen and I live in a pretty safe area. My car was locked in front of our house. We have a security camera and the guy literally broke into the car so quickly as if he had the key. Sat in my car for nearly 1min and left. Luckily nothing was stolen but I had to get the door lock repaired 😒. My friend’s car got stolen 3 times. It was a leased car so he told the dealer he no longer wants the car after the 3rd theft. It’s insane 😡
You have thee MOST BEAUTIFUL babies EVER OMGGGGG!!!!Sunny has the fullest head of hair I've ever seen on an infant!!!Great Job mom and dad B,they are such good kiddos!!!
I told y’all her hair was getting lighter! I seen it. 😂 lol Can we all just take a moment to soak up Sunny with her hand on her face? Too stinking cute.
So sorry guys, I hope everybody is doing okay 🫶🏽! I wrecked and totaled my car about the same time now I must come out of pocket for a new one because I didn't have full coverage 🤦🏽♀️!! Ugh! I'm okay TUJ! Y'all are okay TUJ!! LOVE YOU GUYS!!
When people are truly parenting, it's hard. As a seasoned mama, I promise it will get easier, you're in the thick of it right now. Take a break when you need it. You're so blessed to have each other.
My parents own their own business and we had a similar situation happen. Quite a few years ago my mom left her purse on the side mirror of my dad's truck to run inside and grab something she forgot. She wasn't gone very long (we were all getting ready to go somewhere) and someone pulled up next to the truck (we thought they were getting business hours) but the lady in the passenger seat jumped out and took my mom's purse. They sped away as we were on our way out. We called the police but she was never caught. Luckily my mom doesn't keep much in her purse but it was still devastating to say the least. I'm so sorry you guys are going through all of this. Stay positive and strong. You guys are amazing and good things are sure to come your way. God bless you and your beautiful family!
Ohhh I'm sorry you guys have to go through this, hope you guys are ok!? When you guys mentioned the person who stole your car also had the house keys I'm really scared, but you're gonna change the locks so I'm relieved. Stay Safe you guys:))
Sunny looks like Jack with dark hair. She's really filling out (cutie). Sorry about your misfortunes, things will get better - you're good people. Minor setbacks, stay positive 👍
Our niece Savanna had black hair when she was born also and then it started going blonde it was so cool she still had black tips at 4yrs old! So crazy!
Wow you guys have really been through it! I hope you get those locks changed fast. I worked for the sheriff's department and I know first hand that they normally come back to see what else they can take. And with child trafficking so rampant now it's so imperative you NEVER open your door to anyone. I'm not trying to scare you , I just wanted you to be aware of this. Hang in there guys better days ahead of you! 💗🤞🙏🏻💗🤞🙏🏻💗💗
Your superpower is resilience, which is amazing. Things happen and you are able to roll with it, to move on. You don't get stuck or spiral down into hate or negativity. It shows up constantly in your parenting, and is such great modeling for your kids. You could teach a course.
Terrible twos - poor Baby, he’s having a hard day! The next couple years will be meltdown central but then he will suddenly become super happy & helpful and probably the best kid ever - hang in there mom & dad!! ❤
I think Derik worded that well in saying jack may be the more challenging child! I don't think if Jack seen it he would be like oh my dad didn't like me 🤣🤣 he'd watch 3 meltdowns in a min and be like wow how did you deal with me 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely love how you're both so honest, you let your fans see that your human, you have 2 gorgeous kids and there's no way anyone true can keep up with all the cleaning etc and be happy, you show your living mess and you show your true selves, love to you both & Jack and Sunny always ❤️ 🌞
@@Ptls68 Libby didn’t say anything about leaving them alone.
Perfect advice Libby!
@Libby Kline. Excellent advice and tips. As a teacher of 25 years l highly, highly recommend people follow your advice. Thank you and God bless 🙏
That is such a great idea

Stay safe. Best ❤
Please yes be careful

So, you think this child is 'two-spirited' then? "they're"
@@superdave7205 my adult child is non-binary who uses they/them pronouns. I have no idea about the toddler in the video, I assume they'll figure out their identity as they mature. I was simply referring to their highly-spirited nature.
@@iknowlinda Kool Beans!!
@@RSUDE from a very early age they were highly, emotionally sensitive. They cried a lot. They walked early, they talked really early. Instead of talking as a preschooler, they often sang instead. There's a lot that I've learned now that they're an adult and we can talk about it and have hindsight.
@@iknowlinda Good grief, when will it end 🙄
watching new parents dealing with toddler meltdown is fricking hilarious... reminds me of the difference between how I reacted to my toddler meltdowns when I was 20 versus my last toddler (surprise baby) meltdown when I was 42. you guys are doing great
I had my first baby at 21 and second baby at 26.
Not normal. This young child needs his parents full attention and not a camera in his face 24/7.
I had my 15 year old at age 21 I just had my 6th baby a year and a half ago at age 36, it really is a HUGE difference in everything lol

@@karlabateman234 That’s wonderful. That’s the way it should be.
Aww, I can't believe how much hair Sunny has! And she looks so much like Jack! So adorable!
True
Glad everyone in the family is safe and sound. Be careful out there guys.
I very much appreciate that you guys at least mention when Jack has a meltdown, otherwise people could have the impression they’re doing something wrong because Jack is always calm, nice and excited when something happens.
No accountability is definitely contributing to the increases in crime. Stay safe!

So I am very sorry that happened to you all!
You deserved it for destroying the climate by having your car warm up before using it!
Did you know Texas passed a law like 30 years ago that your car is not considered stolen if it had it keys in it. Because cops were sick of it and insurance did not want if the their had been handed the keys?
@@truneilson whoa, that's interesting. Thanks, I'm gonna have to look into that. Not from Texas myself but neat to know
Please make it your first priority to change them locks....and be careful whoever is stealing from you guys are probably watching all the time to see what they can grab next.

I lately discovered quiet bins. I wonder if he’d like something like that
I want to thank you for showing your home how it is and not fake. Living with children is not a life and cleaning up is so extreme difficult, never knew myself that it is normal that a messy house is not a priority, much love!

Reminding you Derik, you hair is hardly blonde!!!
Please be safe and get ur locks changed ASAP! I really hope everything gets better for ya'll!

Sorry this is happening to you guys! I will say however, I've never had more things stolen than when I lived in Hawaii. 😔
I had no clue that it was such a big problem in Hawaii but it truly does sound like a nightmare!
We had our corvette stolen twice in the 1970’s! Even then it was bad. We had a carport not an enclosed garage, which a lot of homes have.

I hope your troubles pick up for you. Couldn’t help but notice Sunny's face - she is sooooooooo like Jack. You guys make pretty kids.
Sarah! I leave my keys in my car everyday! It can literally happen to anybody! This is so common! And as for Jack's constant meltdowns, try ur hardest not to feed into them! It's just cuz hes not the only child anymore and as long as he knows his fits wont be catered to he will stop, i promise.
I keep holding my breath anticipating the chance of mom or Jack getting their hair wrapped up in the handheld mixer😮

Hey guys when filing the theft to your insurance you can also claim the car seats .
God bless.
Never leave your keys in your vehicle. Never. Ever.

So sorry! I’m seeing more people putting AirTags in all their items just in case! ❤
Yes that's a great idea to put one of those in your car, a purse, backpack etc.
Yes! My thot exactly
great idea!
Except you can scan for them using an app. It's still better than nothing though.
What are Air Tags?
Sarah’s eyes are so magically beautiful. 😍
I am so sorry to hear about your car and the car seats. More importantly, you are all safe. Thank the lord the kids weren't in the car. On a different note, Can Sarah do a make-up tutorial? Her makeup is always on point. I know it's a little different than the normal content but I would love to learn from her!
Kids grow up so fast. As they say the days are long but the years are short. A dirty house can wait when your making memories.
Don't let him play with that!!!if it gets caught in his hair it really hurts!xxx
My husband grew up in Oahu and there's a chance you may have been targeted/taken less seriously with the police because you're from the main land. I hope you are able to get your truck back, I'm sorry that happened to you!
Keep voting Democrat.. soft on crime is always good
So sorry to hear this happened to you guys! It’s something we all do. I live in the UK and during our cold spells, I literally leave my car running in our drive to deice it. Things like this definitely make you think twice. ☹️
If you have 2 sets of keys you can leave your car running with it locked up. Then use second set to get back in. That's what I've done.
Change the locks asap!!! That would totally scare me.
I do the same thing
Heck no I never leave my car running or unlocked or with the keys in it without me. Not even to get gas, I take the keys and my phone.
So sorry guy's...hope you're all doing fine 🙏🙏
I hope you've changed the locks guys that's so scary!! I'll keep you in my prayers x
I seen it. 😂 lol
Can we all just take a moment to soak up Sunny with her hand on her face? Too stinking cute.
Saw it
So sorry guys, I hope everybody is doing okay 🫶🏽! I wrecked and totaled my car about the same time now I must come out of pocket for a new one because I didn't have full coverage 🤦🏽♀️!! Ugh! I'm okay TUJ! Y'all are okay TUJ!!
LOVE YOU GUYS!!
i’m sorry this keeps happening to you guys 😢 sending love ❤❤
I am sorry very much. My love for you, dear family. From The Canary Islands in Spain, kisses for you all, Alicia.
When people are truly parenting, it's hard. As a seasoned mama, I promise it will get easier, you're in the thick of it right now. Take a break when you need it. You're so blessed to have each other.
You all are so loved. Please be safe!!
So sorry to hear about your car getting stolen but I'm glad you all are safe!
Be safe please.
Sunny ☀️☀️☀️ looks so much like Jack. They are both so gorgeous... 🥰
Awww I see Ozzy features in little Sunny. Such beautiful babies, all 4 of them ♥️🥰
My parents own their own business and we had a similar situation happen.
I’m so sorry😢 hope you can get it all figured out and don’t forget all the people that you can trust that can help you get through this❤
Ohhh I'm sorry you guys have to go through this, hope you guys are ok!?
When you guys mentioned the person who stole your car also had the house keys I'm really scared, but you're gonna change the locks so I'm relieved. Stay Safe you guys:))
They shouldn’t have said that bc the person that stole their cake could watch their videos so that wasn’t a smart nice on them
@@JustHaveFaith23 they'll find a solution, no matter what:))
Sending prayers 🙏🏾
You have such a supportive husband and one of my family members cars got stolen but we found it the next day
I think Derik worded that well in saying jack may be the more challenging child!
☝️☝️☝️💯❤
