What memory size did you get? I’m thinking to get the 13in MBP 10th gen i7 with 32GB ram but its £2399 so I’m stuck to get that or the 16in MBP base model 9th gen i7 and 16GB ram, what would you suggest as they are both priced at £2399?
Daniel Richardson I got 16gb. Very rarely do people need 32gb unless you do a lot of work with virtual machines. I work in software quality assurance and 16gb is plenty for me.
Daniel Richardson You should consider which form factor you want also. The 16 inch is a very big laptop. If you plan to be on the go with it frequently then the 13 inch may be a better option.

the new macbooks are all great - air, 13 and 16 totally amazing .. loving this gold air i3 no heat issues what so ever!! it runs cooler than my old 2015 air!

Great video, i brought the 13" MBP, I5 cpu, 16mb ram, 512gb ssd, but the first one i had only lasted 4hrs then refused to boot up, Apple exchanged it for a new one (it was less than a day old) and from then on its been just fine, at least i had two unboxing experiences lol i was going with the MB Air but after review about overheating i changed to the 13" i doubt i will ever push it to its limits. I'm waiting for mine right now. I ordered the base MacBook Pro 13 with 4 thunderbolt ports at an apple reseller. Its almost been 2 weeks now and they said that I'll need to wait about 1-2 weeks. What's cool is that I can get it with a small discount :) I'll have it at 1998 € instead of 2058 €.
watching this on a new gold i3 256gb macbook air! i plug this into my 27" LG usb-c monitor its amazing.. tried a windows gaming laptop thought i wanted windows 10 but it sucked - prefer mac hardware and software experience.. Trackpad macbook, speakers, screen, build, portability, keyboard so dope. I can use this new macbook air in bed easy on my back and be productive with my gaming laptop not possible!

It does. I upgraded from a 2016 one (function keys) to the 2020. Also the display bezels seem to be sliiightly smaller on the 2020 one. Which actually means that the 2020 one has slightly lover DPI.

ok...sooooo... I bought the same exact MacBook Pro in the summer of 2020, and after having it over a year, Im already ready to pull the trigger and buy an M1 MacBook Pro, preferably a 14 inch M1 Pro. For the most part the 2020 13inch intel Core i7 is a great Mac, but Im honestley just over the fan noise. I mainly do audio production and sometimes the fan noise is just outright annoying, especially when I feel like Im not pushing it THAT hard. From what Im hearing people with M1 Macs hardly ever hear the fans kick in and Im so ready for that.
You are using the microphone wrongly. It is condenser microphone, speak to the side of it which is where it picks up vocals the best. Not the top of it.
So as a student I should be going with MacBook Air 2020 or MacBook pro13 inch please tell I am a bit confused and I almost forgot one thing to say I always use your wallpaper thank u for giving us such wonder full wallpapers
@TheGoat Not true. The Razer 13" has a GTX 1650 MaxQ and the HP Spectre has a GTX 1050Ti MaxQ. But, again, battery and thermals do suffer. Personally, though, I think I'd rather just use an eGPU when I needed to leverage a high-end GPU for work or gamin'.

@@Emcdub3 Final Cut Pro is generally much smoother when playing video back on the timeline in general. It also exports 4K video much faster than Premiere from what I have seen. If you prefer Premiere though it should work just fine on MacBook, but I would go for the 16-inch in that case with a dedicated GPU.

Thanks for the review. I got the same and I just noticed that the cpu never goes above 3.6ghz even when running one core cinebench r20 test. I happen to have the 2018 model similar cto i7 loaded with exactly the same as the new one and on single core it even runs at 4.4ghz. Full 4 core runs at around 3.15 vs 3.3 of the 2018 model while on 2.5 cores(5 threads) test it runs as 3.25ghz vs 3.6 of the 2018 model. The same I see also in bootcamp w10 2004 version. With same settings and egpu I see an 5% lower performance. What is your experience so far, do you notice something similar or I just got a bad cpu? In addition I noticed that in macOS I was getting better scores when I run the tests in 10.15.4 newly installed. Hoever, when I restored my backup and had to update to 10.15.5 I fell it got slower. Thanks in advance.

So I'm wondering if the Pro is going to give me any better performance for that than the Air. i5 has thermal issues (4 cores). If you buy AIR, take i3. Less power, bur AIR is not for PRO.
Intel rates that CPU at 9W. Not exactly hard to cool it. Only dual core.

The air will handle that just fine, but the pro would only help really if you were doing a lot of photography, programming or video editing.
