But what if you have a large dog that is extremely afraid of being touched? He is a shelter dog and a rescue, and we have tried three different vets, and no one can come near him. We can't even do it we've tried. I have the equivalent of Andre. The giant helping me to hold him still and even that won't work. I don't know the alternative except to maybe beg some clinic to put him under and then clean his ears that way, but that seems insane. Weve tried food, gentleness,muzzles everything! His ear is so bad that he can undoubtedly not hear out of his left ear. What do you do for a dog? That is not as docile as the one that you just showed thank you
If it is that severe for him not sitting still, I'm surprised the vets haven't mentioned sedation, or some form of medicine for the dog to take to calm them down, and then return to the vet.

My dogs ears are so bad idk what to do. The gunk that comes out of my dogs ears is mucus colored gunk, plus the ear wax is a brown color and it smells really really bad

@2life2fullest54 no offense but that's the 1st thing that I did. And honestly the vetetarians are just ridiculously expensive. I mean $60.00 for the simple reason of us needing to go in there!!! Plus another $120 on antibiotics that might work and majority of the time the expensive antibiotic has a generic version that is a fraction of the price. $50 for a "deep clean" just a expensive way of saying a thorough bath, that anyone can do at there own home for free. It's just a rip off, there's no real veterinarians out there anymore who are the actually care about the animals, it's all about how much are u willing to pay. Dam shame

A way to make your dog to shake it's head so the remaining gunk is dislodged is to blow into your Dog's ear.
All the vets I know discourage the use of cotton swabs in dogs' ears. It's the only part of this that made me cringe.
