you rock man. thank you so much for the info. you have been the number 1 source of info for my build im doing next week and i just want to thank you for posting these videos. Cheers
I have idea of using makita batteries and charger since I already have them. What do you guys think? I could spend more on other stuff and I can take some on a backpack and swap quickly when I get home. I can pair to make 36v system.
Hey man! Enjoying the videos, very helpful. I have a question tho, I'm planning to use 2 x 6355 motors which is 2450 Watts each. I wanted to use a 12s3p battery But I had some people telling me the max output of such battery is 1000 watts.. so is the battery not strong enough? Thanks in advance! Samuel
Just wanted to let you know your videos are awesome....keep it up. I'm now looking to build vs premade cuz of your videos, modular def the way to go. Can you explain how to make a balance system w so its efficient?
Any toughts on "Acton blink board" or "Lectric Longboard" two very cheap electric long/skateboards, around 500bucks, Worth buying? would love your toughts on them, cheers.
Thank you thank you thank you!! Shopping on your site. I found a single drive kit Mono drive R-Spec pro. Is there not a kit that also includes speed control, battery kit, and wireless hand controller?? Ideal a complete kit minus board??
Hey Jason I think what you do is awesome and I am thinking about building my own board but I was wondering if the hand controller on your website comes with a receiver and if so can you plug it directly into a vesc? Thanks Tristan
Hi thinking about getting my first electric skateboard , im 6'2 and about 16 stone looking at evolve Gt but some are saying bad thing about controller ect, are there any similar alternatives for me ? by the way great vids ans information keep it coming.
Great explanation but try control your speaking and music volume. I need to volume up when you speaking then the ending music too loud. Try make both in balance
I want to but a raptor 2, but is it possible to order a bigger battery or swap one out? I would be using the board to get to and from my town which is a 20 km trek with a few BIG hills. During the trip I'd like to be able to travel about 20 or 30 more km in town and return home on a single charge.
Enertion Skateboards yes I get that the current range is 25 miles, I'm looking for 35-40 mile range due to my trek being 12 m each way and wishing to cruise while in town before returning. So I need something above 25miles as 24 are driven just getting to and from town
Enertion Skateboards that would be great, 432 wh is great in comparison to alot of other boards on the market, but I'm sure that I'm not the only one banging my head on a wall wishing for 6 to 800wh. If it becomes at all possible without compromising the 49km/h speed, I would definitely buy this item
I guess my question is really, would you build a special order board with a 700 to 800 WH battery pack? Is it possible without overloading the board with too much power for the components?
Just discovered electric skateboards.. haha... would love to buy either a raptor2 or a evolve bamboo gtx.. but might have to wait til tax return. Thinking of building a custom diy setup. I want to run 2 or 3 dewalt flexvolt batts.. would these be able to power a esk8? Batt is 18v 9ah. 180watt hrs
Hey I am a 275lbs college student currently riding a long board and I want to motorize it what are the optimal parts from Enertion I should get to do so. My plan was: spacecell, dual drive r-spec uber+ kit, dual vesc(and connecting can-bus wire), and this remote I already have very similar to the fs-gt2. Am I missing anything or should I upgrade anything?
+Caden Matson Even with my weight? I know I am a big guy I just want to make sure im not going to overheat a motor going up a slight incline that I have here.
+Tre Hue dual diagonal with 6372 motors would be best, but as long as you give your board a push to start off, it will be able to carry your weight fine. Just don't expect to go up any significant hills!
If yourve gone enertion rspec dual motors it should get you up hills. Like with anything ut depends on how steep they are and if long inclines. Check out the enertion Raptor Mono uphill test with Jason on it.
+Electric Skateboard Builder I'm looking at the same cheap boards. LectricLongboard / MelonBoard. I have no need to travel hills, maybe a 2-5% for 1 mile within a daily trip. I assume they all have the same components but at advertised with different specs? Would changing from their stock ESC to a VESC be sufficient? oh and I'm a large tall adult at 103-104kg should I just stick with biking?
I had such a hard time watching this video because of your constant cuts! It's almost a cut every word near the end, please just keep the material from the in-between words in the video or learn how to speak smoothly! The cuts give me a massive headache!!

Great Video, please make a part 2 about motors (motor power, inrunner vs. outrunner, Hub vs. Belt)
+E-Boarding And available transmitters.

+Anonymous Germany na überall und sogar im real life ;)
+E-Boarding :)))
Nice summary of everything! Thank you!

can you do a dual diagonal setup with a separate battery per VESC?

what can cause intermittent disconnects that results in power cut offs?
Liked and subscribed. Great information! Most informative. Could you please have close-ups on next video? Thanks so much for your hard work!
So could I potentially upgrade my esc on a standard Chinese clone board?

So, I'm using the app you recommended on your website to calculate the speed. But is the given speed on this app realistic, or is there like a margin?

@Electric Skateboard Builder Have you ever thought about designing electric inline-skates?

+Tre Hue sounds like a solid build! you wouldn't need anything else
+Caden Matson Even with my weight? I know I am a big guy I just want to make sure im not going to overheat a motor going up a slight incline that I have here.

+Caden Matson or use 200 mm trucks for a dual 6372 setup. but for this, there are no kits, and you need to fiddle stuff together on yourselve..
If yourve gone enertion rspec dual motors it should get you up hills. Like with anything ut depends on how steep they are and if long inclines. Check out the enertion Raptor Mono uphill test with Jason on it.
Thank you!
what about the magneto?
Alright. Can you give any recommendations to a board in the same price range that you can get in UK/europe?
