He was such a lovely man. I am not religious but always find this song so uplifting. The Krishna bits refer to when George embraced the Hare Krishna religion, following the period when the Beatles went on a retreat to India and stayed with the Maharishi RIP George 💙✊
@gore1089 To see the most uplifting reaction I have seen, look for a reaction to the same song by Big Beliya, it looks like his spirit is jumping to attention.
The greatest of all Beatles. My 5 year old brother was buried with this 45 in his little casket. He could never get enough of it. I can never make it through a single listen without blubbing.
George Harrison’s music was on a totally different level, The spirituality in his music was absolutely amazing & set him far apart from the other members in the band.
George was a lovely soul....Deeply into spirituality, and tried to truly live the message. You cannot ask more of a human being than that. Some conservative Christians in the US got incensed that he was praising God in the words of other religions on a par with the only “true” way. It’s always been one of the most perfect songs of true faith I’ve ever heard. So many paths to God....Krishna is a representative of the god-head in the Hindu faith. Back in the late sixties, there were many young adherents to Krishna,......they were called Hare Krishnas....because they would chant on street corners and at airports this chant.....Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna, Krishna, Hare, Hare....meaning praise God, praise God etc...
@@jaydeepsen4769 Lots of hindu friends I have living in London, he was the most spiritual member of the band, He learnt a lot from Ravi Shankar when he was learning sitar
@@lynda3860 what I liked is that George found a way to incorporate the essence of Indian classical music with western music and that led to some beautiful compositions. Ravi Shankar is a maestro. His daughter too is a great musician currently.
During the 60s and 70s the Hare Krishna kids would congregate on the corner of Hollywood and Highland Blvd’s in LA, and my parents would warn me with “Those are dangerous people. And Krishna is a cult!” Many years later, my spiritual journey would lead me to Bhagavad Gita; and my childhood example of Krishna consciousness bore no resemblance to the true beauty of the Hindu religion 💖
What Is Life is my favorite solo George Harrison song. The newest video of it with the two dancers is beautiful. George's wife picked out the two dancers for the video.
George embraced the Hare Krishna tradition. Krishna is one of the Hindu main deities, if not the supreme God. George sings in this song “I really want to see you…. But takes so long, my Lord”. It took George 58 years till he met his Lord… According to his wishes, George was cremated and his ashes were scattered in the Ganges and Yamuna rivers. RIP, George.
When they inducted George into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, George had already passed away, but his son Danny, Tom Petty, Prince, Steve Winwood and others--5 guitars on stage--performed While My Guitar Gently Weeps--Unbelievable--Prince goes off on a guitar solo that is incredible--Please check out You Will Love it Enjoy your reactions
It's a great solo. Prince is just showing off in front of some all time greats, and you can see they are as blown away as we were watching, on stage in the moment. Also, trivia, not a lot of people have seen Prince play live the actual guitar that is on all the recordings, his Hohner Madcat, fake Fender Telecaster.
...2 fine young gentlemen, unmistakenly strong of Faith truly inspired by a masterpiece song written by another believer, ispirational to see....choked mr up a bit....
I absolutely Loved the reaction of the dude in the black sweatshirt. The song is about the fact that God is the same, no matter what you call Him. He transcended above putting God in a box. I first heard this song as a child and 45 years later I still think this is the most beautiful song ever written too. Thanks for your genuine reaction. Loved watching you.. ❤
A beautiful sunny day, simply grateful for the chance of this life. There is infinite time behind us, the sudden flash of our 80 years here, then infinite time again. Thank you for all this beauty - and love.
I think Lord is what I call my God, but George is celebrating spirituality and religion from all over the world. Hallelujah (My sweet Lord) Hallelujah (My sweet Lord) Hare Krishna (My sweet Lord) Hare Krishna (My, my, my) Krishna, Krishna (Hey, my sweet Lord) Hare Hare (My sweet Lord) Gurur Brahma (Oh my Lord) Gurur Vishnu (Oh my sweet Lord) Gurur Devo (My sweet Lord) Maheshwara (My sweet Lord) Gurur Sakshaat (My sweet Lord) Parabrahma (Oh my sweet Lord) Tasmayi Shree (My, my sweet Lord) Guruve Namah (My sweet Lord) Hare Rama (My sweet Lord) My sweet Lord
Like me George was a spiritual person. He was only 59 when he died from cancer, 20 years ago in November. "What is life" guys is another banger from this album
George is one of those guitar players that when they play, you know within a note or two exactly who it is. He has a unique sound, and that double tracked slide is so spine tingling.
George actually didn't want to release this song as a single as he thought it would be a bit preachy to people, it was Phil Spector that insisted that he should so he went along with it.
This song came out at a time when nearly everyone was putting out religion-based songs. Ocean had 'Put Your Hand in the Hand', Broadway hit, 'Jesus Christ Superstar', and 'O Happy Day', Coven had a huge hit with 'One Tin Soldier', and in country music Kris Kristopherson had 'Why Me Lord'. It was everywhere.
Bros! What a great song to do! George, with this one song, attempted to bring together Christians and others as well (Hare Krishna) as he himself was deep into Indian religion and meditation. A truly spiritual human being.
His voice melts me too. ❤️ It’s sad that The Beatles broke up but it did give George the chance to showcase his voice and song writing abilities, which Paul has admitted were underutilized when they were together. But, hey, when you’ve got arguably the greatest song writing duo in history with McCartney and Lennon, something has to give.
Thank you, very good job, guys. If I may, I'd like to recommend you to listen to 'Life itself', another George's master piece. Thank you again. May GOD be with you.
Anyone who resonates with this beautiful song like you did gets my sub. It fills my soul and makes me tear up, especially if it’s been a while since I last heard. Spirituality put to music and sung by a gentle, spiritual man.
So underrated at the time of the Beatles may get one song on a album , what a song writer all this songs are beautiful just a wonderful man a spiritual man love this garden , but what a musician . Taken far , far, to early a huge loss still miss today by all his fans but fortunately we still have his music so I have to be thankful for that . I was blessed to around from the start of the Beatles
George needed to grow. He was younger and less musically experienced than the others when they started. He was especially insecure about his very. With time his very good guitar skills grew to world-class and he became an integral part of the Beatles vocal. At the same time, his writing skills blossomed. It just took a little time.
This is the magic of The Beatles. Their music brought smiles, wonder and joy to everyone. George's song of praise rings out today and always as a desire to find true love in spirit.
This song is so beautiful - I've always loved the sound of the acoustic guitar at the beginning. This song was played everywhere, it's so familiar and such a great melody. Gosh, just had a look on Google and see that it came out in 1970 - crikey, over 50 years ago, to me it seems timeless. George Harrison had a lovely voice and is so evocative. I really feel so lucky having all this fantastic music growing up. You don't always appreciate it at the time it was just there, but now it's wonderful. I don't mean that we didn't love it but there was so much we probably took it for granted. Many thanks for reaction, guys.
My Sweet Lord is my favourite George Harrison song
The most gentle soul ever.
All I can after that song..” I MISS HIM SO MUCH “💔💔
God bless his soul, as you have said he is the soul of the Beatles and yes he was, his days in the travelling Wilbur’s also proved that
George had a special felling and a supertalent on the guitar and music composicion he was superb!
RIP George. You are with the Lord now.
He was such a lovely man. I am not religious but always find this song so uplifting. The Krishna bits refer to when George embraced the Hare Krishna religion, following the period when the Beatles went on a retreat to India and stayed with the Maharishi RIP George 💙✊
George was my sweet lord , I loved him from the first moment I heard the Beatles in the sixties
Thank you Lord, thank you Jesus, God bless you all, from America with love.
This song catapults you to the highest frequency!
George was the BEST Beatle.👍👍👍😎
It is said, that our souls sleep inside us, and when it hears this song IT WAKES UP!
It feels like it.

I’m so so sorry about your precious brother. May he rest in everlasting peace in heaven .❤️🙏❤️😢
Oh man,I'm so sorry 😔
Wow, blessings to you. This comment made me cry. He was a beautiful soul 😇
George Harrison’s music was on a totally different level, The spirituality in his music was absolutely amazing & set him far apart from the other members in the band.
your probably right and to think he was in the same band as lennon and mc cartney is absolutely MINDBLOWING
Yea he probably got his inspiration from the fallen angels not from the only true Father God or His Son Jesus Christ
This song gives me PEACE!!!! 😍🏞🌊
This is timeless music that will be heard and loved by future generations 💗🌅
George was my favorite, very sad what happened to him. and next Here Comes The Sun.
Once again you guys make my day with this reaction. George plays this nightly in heaven for the Lord
The highest selling song by an ex Beatle. George also does all the backing vocals
This is Great! George O'Hara Singers is George Harrison! The Dark Horse!!
🙏🏾💜✨ Beautiful song. Fills my heart with so much love for Him.

Hard to believe it’s been that long.
He was only 58, sorry to say.
Man-I remember that day, and exactly where I was when I found out. Such a loss-went way too soon.
Perfect song for a Sunday afternoon.
George and John are my two favorite Beatles, so talented. Rest Easy Angels ❤

I had decided years ago that this will be played at my funeral. Also "Give Me Love".
George Harrison n°1 Great
Best song of all time
It sounds brand-new every time I hear it. Shiny and brilliant.
I remember driving through the forest in the snow hearing this on the radio.
This song is beautiful, what a singer
LOVE GEORGE AND HIS MUSIC, ALWAYS MY FAVORITE BEATLE SINCE I WAS 7 YEARS OLD. WAY BACK IN 1964
"Give Me Love" by Harrison is a must, one of his most beautiful songs.
Great review. The Beatles were an unstoppable force.
So beautiful song❤❤

I had his album called All Things Must Pass, which has many more songs like this. What a musical genius...
Wow! Listening to this takes me right back to the '70's! Have you heard "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"??

This is the magic of The Beatles. Their music brought smiles, wonder and joy to everyone. George's song of praise rings out today and always as a desire to find true love in spirit.
