Each time Robin’s beautiful plaintive voice comes in after Barry’s main melody, my heart just swells up and I literally begin to weep a little. So much sweet emotion. One of the best pop songs ever written.
Robin is singing most of the main parts to this. I feel- from being a fan since I was a kid due to the fact my mother turned me on to them and she was born in 1942. Anyway Sir Barry has always been out front and center probably one reason is his striking good looks but what I’m trying to say is watch Robin and listen to him in this. I cry uncontrollably and have goosebumps all over my body when I hear Robin sing..
Robin’s vocals in this - wow! The harmonies, the vocals, the arrangement, the instrumentals, etc. Really enjoyed your reactions and comments! This group’s singing lifts my spirits!
The Bee Gees can do no wrong in my opinion. Truly a brilliant band and every song they do is awesome. They will never be forgotten. Their song writing is amazing. The best harmonies I have ever heard. Great reaction guys
My thoughts entirely, Phoebe. The brothers were geniuses, truly great songwriters & inspired artists. This song was a hit in their fourth decade of writing hits because genius is consistent!
If there ever was a family that came in this world to entertain. It was the Bee Gees. They knew from the time they were kids what they wanted to do and that was sing and write songs. They did exactly that. To a job well done. Their music will live on forever.
Besides their amazing talent, they were real people, they were humble and precious and it all comes through their music. I am Barry’s age and only really discovered them during the pandemic and now regret so much I didn’t try to go to one of their concerts in the 70’s or 80’s. I agree, they are magical. It warms my heart to see you younger hearts discover the music of my youth! ❤❤
This song is so bittersweet to me because Barry is singing he doesn't want to be alone, while all these memories are being shown of his years with his brothers and he is in fact, alone and the "last one standing " as Barry puts it. 😔 The Bee Gees are magnificent in every way!
Wow ! Bee Gees again, they're the Best of the Best. I love them ,greatest, fabulous,Harmonie's Kings Unforgettable ! Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina 🙋🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷❤️
You seemed to like Robin's voice in the chorus. Check out Bee Gees singing "For Whom The Bell Tolls", where Barry wrote the whole chorus for Robin. It's also recorded live by New York Harbor and you can see the twin towers standing in the background. Thanks guys!
With The Bee Gees every song you just listened to is your favorite! Bee Gees are unique, they’re on another level. There will never be any group anywhere near the genius of The Bee Gees! Please react to Heartbreaker, thank you.
You dear souls really “get” what and who The Bee Gees are all about. I, myself only truly discovered them during the pandemic at age 76 and I could kick myself for not appreciating them in the 60’s and 70’s and onward. I would have attended every concert possible. But better late than never and now I blast them on my headphones at home and in the car. One is never too old to fall in love!❤❤
The Bee Gees were very special. This song is no exception. And yes, whenever you listen to or see the film clips of the brothers performing, whilst it is always phenomenal, it is also very hard to believe that there is only Barry still with us. It just doesn't seem real and it just breaks your heart. God bless them all!
Another great song from the Bee Gees - their singing, the harmony, just so beautiful and I love the video too. Their music spans so many decades, for example, going back to the 1960s, songs such as Massachusetts, I Gotta Get A Message to You, To Love Somebody, New York Mining Disaster 1941 and Words. I'm sure you'd love these songs, guys. Thanks so much for your reaction, always really enjoyable. Take care now, keep safe and all the best. 😊😊
Man, this song brings tears to my eyes because it's the last hit the Bee Gees ever had. I think they knew it would be because the video has scenes from their past, like a remembrance. They only did one more album after this. I absolutely love this song. They are one of the greatest groups in music history for their singing and songwriting, providing huge hits to many other artists over decades. They wrote and composed the soundtrack for "Saturday Night Fever" in a weekend and it had 5 #1 hits on it! You should watch the documentary w Barry Gibb called "Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart", it's absolutely fantastic!
This was not the original video from the song, Barry put this one together after Robin died and they did have another album after Still Waters called This is where I came in.
Wonderful reaction! So much love in the harmonies and between the brothers - perfect balance. "Nights on Broadway" live on the Midnight Special tv show is a cool performance that's on youtube. Thanks guys!!
Barry and Robin's equally beautiful but so differently unique tones and Maurice's gorgeous and flawless harmonies. The vocal perfection that was the Bee Gees.
Robin sings a lot in this song- his voice makes me cry everytime I hear it. Sir Barry Gibb is of course amazing but his twin brother’s are also touched by angles and also Andy Gibb the baby brother . Thank you guys!!
I'm excited to see our younger generation listening and enjoying the Bee Gee's music. I listened to them as a teenager and adult and still do daily at least 3 to 5 songs daily. Only brother's can make a melody like theirs. Robin's voice is so mournful and sorrowful it embraces my heart and soul love it. Barry's voice I could listen to all day and have. Watch some of the Bee Gee's documentaries it explains how.and when Barry started singing falsetto. One word MAGIC. Maurice's voice is amazing watch Man in the Middle he was fantastic. I too would have loved to see them in concert. Thank you for sharing and enjoying Alone.
Their songs are very important to them. They defend them at all costs. After the late 70s and disco began to fade their songs were made fun of from that era. But they in every interview staunchly defended their music. Just as you said you definitely feel something when you listen to their songs. That is exactly what they wanted. Also the instrumentation is outstanding. Barry said in an interview once that when they were not singing, they wanted the music to still say something. That is why the music is so beautiful.
My first concert was the Bee Gees in Hong Kong - 1970. They were the most popular band in Asia then. Bigger than the Beatles. Their legacy is an incredible gift to Humanity!
Very nice reaction! I have always loved the Bee Gees (Brothers Gibb) They had tons and tons of amazing songs. They harmonized soooo beautifully!!! An amazing song and video that I would dare anyone to watch without getting tears in their eyes is their tribute to their younger brother Andy who had died. "Our love (don't throw it all away) (Live in Las Vegas 1997 One Night Only) It's so touching. Thank you for another great reaction! 🙂❤
Beautifully said. It's said that the Bee Gees don't write lyrics, they write emotions. Love them so much. One is a great song. Also I could not love you more. Thousand or more songs.
We have had some great groups and singers from the UK but the Bee Gees are one of the best. Their harmonies are fabulous and they have loads of great songs across different genres and decades.
These songs are timeless and so beautiful. Barry Gibb is the only brother left and has said he's seen his brothers show up in his home from the afterlife. I believe it because I've seen many things myself. I'm so happy that you both love these bros.! Such a fantastic reaction! I wish Barry Gibb knew about you guys and how much you love their music! It could happen! It happened to another reaction channel and he and his wife were invited to go backstage to the concert. I can't for the life of me remember who it was, but how cool would that be?!
I can tell u! Saw them live in 1991 in Berlin! They were amazing! Every Kind of Generation in the Audience! It Was magical. Nobody knows it was the last big Tour of them at that Moment! I am very lucky that I saw them live and in Person! Best Musicians of All time for me!
Love this. I have no idea where they got those voices but they certainly made some terrific songs with their harmonies. Another good one is "To Love Somebody". Thanks guys!
If you like this, you guys will LOVE their music from the 60's. So many great songs to choose from. And you haven't played their best song from the disco era, "Fanny Be Tender With My Love". The vocals in that song with blow you away. :)
These brothers have been in my top 3 bands for 45 years. I was lucky enough to have graduated from high school in 1979, so disco was the theme of my youth. There is none better than the BeeGees. Next reaction you do should be to The Only Love or Wedding Day. You will love both of these.
Thisis one of my fav Bee Gee songs and this clip is great. Shows them as boys in Australia. Robin's voice is incredible. I feel like Barry kind of over shadowed the twins a bit with his amazing vocals but in this song Robin gets a good go .
Great reaction to a fantastic song! You nailed it when you said they bring up your mood listening to their music. I started listening to them when I was 14 in 1968. I am now 68 and still listen to them every single day. My favorite singers ever.
Thank you for saying everything this song makes me feel ! Every time I listen to it … my brain says “ this is my new favorite “ lol Thank you and thank you bee gees ❤️❤️❤️
The part you love so much is Robin and his amazing voice 🤩 the Bee Gees will never be replaced they have extraordinary voices 🤩 four boys and 1 girl and all of them had fabulous voices 👍🏻🤩🏴
Great Reaction to a wonderfully talented Group . This was their last hit and a fantastic accompanying video, which the Brother on the Right seemed to miss, as he had the knack of turning away just as old images of them, onstage, at 8 years old were shown.
This is my favorite song. I think you really need to listen to She keeps coming, Fanny be tender with my love and closer than Close. There are so many wonderful songs that you need to look into
Excellent reaction, spoken very well with just the right words, you've found! Check'em out with a song called 'Blue Island', live and unplugged on MTV Most Wanted, 1993, to find on YT. It's showcasing their incredible, uncomparable harmonies.
The irony of it all is that Barry did end up alone....he being the oldest is the only man standing losing his brothers in reverse order Andy in 1988 , Maurice in 2003 , and Robin in 2012......if all of them were still alive they'd still be churning out hits I have no doubt....
Each time Robin’s beautiful plaintive voice comes in after Barry’s main melody, my heart just swells up and I literally begin to weep a little. So much sweet emotion. One of the best pop songs ever written.
One of the best bands in History,
Have you done “For Whom the Bell Tolls” ? The Bee Gees. Robin’s voice will blow you away. Do yourselves a favour.
Robin’s vocals though…❤❤❤
Listening to the Bee Gees is like being invited into their family. I've been a fan for 50 years and I feel so connected. It's the magic of the Gibbs
Robin’s vocals in this - wow! The harmonies, the vocals, the arrangement, the instrumentals, etc. Really enjoyed your reactions and comments! This group’s singing lifts my spirits!
I think you might like the Bee Gees performance of "One". Very smooth, with their classic harmony. Powerful lyrics.
Loved your reaction and your adoration of the Bee Gees. They are worth it!!
Thank you for the reaction!!! Robin is an angel !!!
I always get emotional when Robin comes in.
My Favorites ❤
These brothers never made a bad song. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
The Bee Gees can do no wrong in my opinion. Truly a brilliant band and every song they do is awesome. They will never be forgotten. Their song writing is amazing. The best harmonies I have ever heard. Great reaction guys
So true
I concur. Love love them!
Well said
My thoughts entirely, Phoebe. The brothers were geniuses, truly great songwriters & inspired artists. This song was a hit in their fourth decade of writing hits because genius is consistent!
They wrote 3 songs in one afternoon, two for themselves and one for their brother Andy and all three became number one hits at the same time!
Sure did.
Too Much Heaven and Tragedy in the afternoon and Shadow Dancing later that day. They're amazing.
Epic!
The sad part is Barry has lost 3 brothers and truly is left alone to carry on.
Alone? With 5 children, 8 grandchildren, 4 nephews and 3 nieces, two sisters in law, a wife and a living sister with 8 children?
If there ever was a family that came in this world to entertain. It was the Bee Gees. They knew from
the time they were kids what they wanted to do and that was sing and write songs. They did
exactly that. To a job well done. Their music will live on forever.
Bro's, you'll love their "To Love Somebody", "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" and "Nights On Broadway"!!
Besides their amazing talent, they were real people, they were humble and precious and it all comes through their music. I am Barry’s age and only really discovered them during the pandemic and now regret so much I didn’t try to go to one of their concerts in the 70’s or 80’s. I agree, they are magical. Love 90s Bee Gees, 'Alone' is one of my faves along with 'For Whom The Bell Tolls' ❤️
My two favourite songs of theirs. Robin's voice is out of this world.
The Bee Gees are so great, and no one is like them. The Harmony is out of this world and their songwriting is brilliant.
I agree
One of the best groups of all time. 💞💞💞
This song is so bittersweet to me because Barry is singing he doesn't want to be alone, while all these memories are being shown of his years with his brothers and he is in fact, alone and the "last one standing " as Barry puts it. 😔 The Bee Gees are magnificent in every way!

Unforgettable !
Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina 🙋🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷❤️
I listen to the Bee Gees everyday ❤❤❤ You're right. They will 100% raise your mood. LONG LIVE THE BEE GEES !!!
You seemed to like Robin's voice in the chorus.
Check out Bee Gees singing
"For Whom The Bell Tolls", where Barry wrote the whole chorus for Robin. It's also recorded live by New York Harbor and you can see the twin towers standing in the background. Thanks guys!
Robin's voice gives me goosebumps.
Same!!!!
It really doesn’t matter which song you listen to by the Bee Gees because they are all fantastic. Great reaction and thank you
With The Bee Gees every song you just listened to is your favorite! Bee Gees are unique, they’re on another level. There will never be any group anywhere near the genius of The Bee Gees! Please react to Heartbreaker, thank you.
Excellent choice!

Bee Gees, one of Gods gifts to mankind!!
This could easily be the theme song of my life. Such a player then. So alone now.
The Bee Gees were very special. This song is no exception. And yes, whenever you listen to or see the film clips of the brothers performing, whilst it is always phenomenal, it is also very hard to believe that there is only Barry still with us. As always the harmony, right?❤ so happy to see you do another Bee Gees reaction! Keep them coming!

May I suggest the next Bee Gees song: "For Whom The Bell Tolls". I like the video where they perform outdoors, in NYC, along the water.
The bees are the best will be the best and always the best😊

We have had some great groups and singers from the UK but the Bee Gees are one of the best. Their harmonies are fabulous and they have loads of great songs across different genres and decades.
I love everything they did, and this one always gives me chills!
Love you guys and the Brothers Gibb. Their voices are a gift from God.
All of them can sing ... Berry , Robin and Maurice!!!❤❤❤

I think the Bee Gees figured out how to tap into the happy soundwaves. No other group has done this nor so frequently
OMG these guys never fail 💙

Wow my favorite bee gees ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

So nostalgic seeing them as kids growing up. So sad that now Barry is alone 💔
Great Reaction to a wonderfully talented Group . This was their last hit and a fantastic accompanying video, which the Brother on the Right seemed to miss, as he had the knack of turning away just as old images of them, onstage, at 8 years old were shown.
I love this song, brings back lot's of good memories. Good reaction to a Great song.
There will never be another voice like Robin's
Bee Gees maravilhosos!❤❤👍👋👋👋👋💪💪🇧🇷🇧🇷

Hi George and Patrick, Iam back again for BeeGees Alone love you two 5/3/23
Love you guys💗
Please play one of their greatest songs, Fanny Be Tender With My Love. it’s live. You will be blown away.
The irony of it all is that Barry did end up alone....he being the oldest is the only man standing losing his brothers in reverse order Andy in 1988 , Maurice in 2003 , and Robin in 2012......if all of them were still alive they'd still be churning out hits I have no doubt....
