+emeraldxephiniax it's in a galaxy far far away, meaning that the humans there aren't from Earth; as well as that, the reason they're so advanced is because they've obviously been around for longer in that far away Galaxy which lets them advance more.
+Eek the Firetamer just saying, Jar Jar was the plot of the prequels (at least 50% of the messed up shit was caused by him) he even steered Anakin towards the dark side from a young age. Jar Jar is the main character of the prequels.. He is to me anyway. Jar jar is love.. Jar Jar is life.
I miss my Battlefront 2! Never went online, & preferred battle (& capture the flag) to campaigns, but it was a great way to unwind, a great stress reliever, & very, very fun!!
+Joe Mama Yeah writing this concisely was weird. Because we were trying to encompass the entire Battlefront series which takes place over the course of ALL the movies. Would have had to make four different references to be 100% correct. I was thinking the rebels and the republic were more or less interchangeable but I guess not lol.
+Treesicle The Old Republic and the Rebellion are about as interchangeable as Pompey's armies could be considered "Rome" when they were fighting Caesar.
MetaWield I don't know what you're talking about, I actually loved the prequels. What I was pointing out was that Treesicle referred to the Separatists as the Empire, which didn't exist until the Republic fell at the end of the Clone Wars.
just cause it had better reviews on Metascore doesn't mean that it is a better game. Metascore isn't very precise with it's critics, and usually reviews based on opinion and such.
+parker friend they were good movies on their own but they werent what id call "star wars" type of movies. even though it's set before the trilogy, it tried to inject some drama and also adding a subplot regarding the romance between anakin and armadala. it was pretty much a soap opera :(if i wanted to hear some blah blah blah id watch days of our lives :P the original trilogy is awesome in that it had a bit of campy meets serious type of banter between the protagonists and the dire leathal dialogue between vader and his minions, and sidious. It wasnt filled with constant drivel and had great pacing and action. The prequels tried to be like entertaining and while the action bits were great, between all that, some bits of it were boring. but hey, just my opinion.
In my opinion, Battlefront 1 & 2 were great because they were modelled intentionally or unintentionally on the Battlefield style, fundamentally. It's a shame you didn't mention Battlefield at all.
+mrpinkroo What? They were not really modeled off battlefield not even the old ones. Thats like me saying its based off the first call of duty. The games are completely different. Maybe you mean with the classes but still apart from that there really aren't any other similarities.
Frothlord 007 No, it's not like you saying it's based off COD at all - even though this vid references COD a lot. At the time, when battlefront 1 & 2 were released, one of the only popular games that utilised using vehicles, as well as FPS action, and 'tickets' as it's base, was Battlefield 1942 and 2. COD isn't even in the same ball park. My argument is that the makers of this vid failed to reference what a huge impact Battlefield had on this game. If you fail to realise this, you clearly haven't been playing FPS for a long enough time to realise this fact. Or you are a complete idiot who doesn't know his games. Got any comebacks, genius?
mrpinkroo You said a few paragraphs and pointed out nothing. The gameplay is marginally different, and at its core a games game-play and mechanics is what often makes it unique. Having vehicles was a stock standard. I have played the first cod and Battlefield, and they both had vehicles sitting around the map. So I guess if you want you can say this came from battlefield. But the other similarities are non existent. I swear everyone compares it to battlefield because the names sound similar. Also calling someone in idiot when you don't really know anything about them is invalid. People who can't make a point in pretty much 4 paragraphs. Now there is a problem
i like how when you compare Rogue leader sales numbers to Battlefronts, you totally forget to mention that Battlefront was released on xbox, ps2, and pc, whereas rogue leader only on gamecube. because thats not important, right?
+Kataquan It was sort of impractical to mention ALL the reasons Battlefront outsold Rogue Leader. We did mention a couple and acknowledged that other ones existed. The point was that those factors didn't explain the entire discrepancy in sales.
I would like to point out that Battlefront uses the Engine and game modes of the Battlefield series, so when he says "It was the first game to nail this style of matches" he's half right. As battlefield was the first game to nail it, but the Star wars aesthetic made it the first successful Science Fiction Shooter to nail it.
Am I the only one who remembers that certain OTHER BF franchise, that also managed to nail the size and scale of war through the eyes of a regular foot soldier? I'm talking about battlefield... pre BF3 which basically made everybody a special ops specialist with complete control over their choice of class, weapon, and even the things attached to the end of their boom stick.
Even though I love Battlefront more, it was essentially a Star Wars reskin of Battlefront 1942 that came out and I played on PC years before. That was the game that helped popularize the large team formula and that specific playstyle. Battlefront just popularized it because between the Star Wars recognizition and putting it onto consoles as well. I don't remember Battlefield being on consoles yet at that point.
The points in this video were great, but I always thought that Battlefront was always just a Star Wars clone of Battlefield? It just happened to do Battlefield, but with the Star Wars tie in and all of the awesomeness that came with that?
I still think they could improve Battlefront even further by adding more playable races. There are so many races in the Star Wars universe. It has a lot of potential.
There's actually not a bad roster of playable species. Go to the official EA Battlefront page and click 'planets'. It gives you a full and interactive display of everything we're initially getting. To be honest, I'm surprised. Can't wait for the release.
+PixlPlayer Same. People are just being butthurt since it isn't a direct sequel. There, that ought to start one (especially since this is true.....I was on the hate train until I looked into it).
Honestly i wanted this game to be awesome but seeing as it doesnt have modes like galactic conquest and campaign(check angry joe's rant) generally modes that defined BF 1 and 2, the game will most likely be just another military shooter on the market
I love your vids but... FOR FUCK SAKES ITS THE SEPRITESTS (or CIS) NOT THE IMPERIALS!!! its like saying dark Vader instead or DARTH Vader or Yoda being called Yoga jeez.
I'm 15, so I grew up just around when Xbox LIVE died for the original xbox (*sniffle* I was so confused waiting in lobbies in Star Wars: Battlefront, Mech Assaoult, BliNX, etc. but to no avail when I was younger), and I was devastated that I never got to play Star Wars: Battlefront online, so Star Wars: Battlefront for the Xbox One, although I don't own an Xbox One, is really exciting to me, and I can't wait to play it! That's the "secret spice" that enticed me xD
Battlefront 2 was great. I leveled all the way to General with no deaths. It took even longer cause I'd reload every time I died. If only I had focused that time into something else, I wouldn't have been as frustrated or had as much fun.
I'm glad you did a Story We Never Knew about Star Wars: Battlefront :D I actually got Battlefront 1 when I was 13 (Which was 5 Years ago), so I played for a little while. Its the only Shooter I really like (aside from Splatoon, but that's a friendlier Shooter Game)!
+jedr1989 mabey we will get a DLC or something. Perhaps (and I'm probably going way to far here) they will do something like Battlefield did with BF4 and BF Hardline. I hope they find some way. Give us battle droids :)
+SkiddyGaming To include everything or the majority of Clone Wars stuff would need another game, DLC would most likely just mean re-skins and sound packs. For a fundamentally different era, it'd be better to make a Battlefront 2
I do hope the prequel content will be available in the new Battlefront as it did in the previous installments. I for one would love to play as a clone commando or a Droideka.
A big part of the reason why Rogue Sqaudron didn't sell nearly as many copies was because it was a Gamecube game and the Battlefront games were Ps2 games. And Ps2 sold like 130 million more consoles than the Gamecube.

EA: "There will be no content locked behind a paywall at the game's release that could have already been included in the game" EA: (Announces Season Pass for game's launch)
+PixlPlayer Yep. It's called manipulation. They promise us one thing but technically they're not lying when they sell you a season pass for expansions. the season pass is basically the same price as the game itself and they haven't really given us any clue as to what they're going to even do. if they add galactic conquest, I'll be pissed. That was part of the Battlefront experience. you shouldn't have to pay an extra 60$ for that garbage
Expendable until you unlock a hero (Boba Fett, and grevious can be insanely over powered if you know how to use them.) then you can be almost unstoppable.

I still say the Death Star was an inside job, I mean... Darth Vader just so happened to be in a Tie Fighter when the whole thing went down? Gimmi a break!
so you guys should do the story you never knew about Nero from devil may cry like for real his back story is non-existent and I think it be a good challenge for you guys
Funny how people forget that Battlefront was highly inspired by Battlefield 1942. Don't get me wrong, I love Battlefront, but it's not as original as some people think it is. Edit: I don't consider Battlefront to be the best Star Wars game, since it's just a multiplayer game without a real single player campaign. Games like Knights of the Old Republic, the Jedi Knight series or the X-Wing series were much better in my opinion. The secret of Battlefront's success is basically that it's accessible for casual gamers and casual Star Wars fans. That's it.
Its really weird that the droids, at least the B1 units express emotions like fear, anger, pride and happiness when they have no reason to. Emotion could be an effective way to encourage a robot to preserve itself, but the B1s are little more than a gun holder and legs. This can only mean that the trade federation was so bad at creating droids that they made artificial intelligence by accident, and didn't use it at all.

XD
+emeraldxephiniax it's in a galaxy far far away, meaning that the humans there aren't from Earth; as well as that, the reason they're so advanced is because they've obviously been around for longer in that far away Galaxy which lets them advance more.

Despite some mistakes that have been mentioned alot already, it's a great video!
+Tristan Drijver Thanks a lot Tristan! SO YOU FORGIVE US RIGHT???!?
Treesicle YES I DO.
You mean like how you spell a lot like alot... Shameful for a time traveling alien.
John Svendsen I get confused sometimes, alright. It's hard keeping up some times.
it was republic vs sepratists
rebels vs empire
the republic and empire did not exist at the same time.
+Joe Mama Republic=empire
+Joe Mama actually the rebels are the start of the republic comeback basically but there referred to as the rebel alliance instead of the republic
You mean Rebels
+Joe Mama Yeah writing this concisely was weird. Because we were trying to encompass the entire Battlefront series which takes place over the course of ALL the movies. Battlefront 3 should be called "COD: Stars Wars Edition"
Or it should be called:
Star wars
The game kinda based on original trilogy-
The game
BEST VIDEOGAME TITLE EVA!!!
+DoDo Kralj *ever
Republic Commando was one of the best games I have ever played. For a 2005 game it's legendary.
"Empire Droids"
Sorry, what?
Prequel stuff
+Anthony McDonald yeah, but they weren't called the Empire then, they were called the Separatists.
+Anonymous User the separatists were not the empire. The republic BECAME the Empire
+Maximus C. well the republic and separatists were lead by the same guy who then became the empire's leader

yup, its terrible
I like the star wars prequels
Shhh. I've received death threats for stating that same thing.

but hey, just my opinion.
Great video! Well articulated! Must have taken this dude HOURS to edit this all together.
To bad EA screws everything up with lack of content and microtransactions
I'm going to miss the space battles. Those actually where/are my favorite parts of the game.
"Super conservative"
*SHOWS PICTURE OF TED CRUZ*
hahahaha A+
If they make a sequel, I hope they focus on the prequels. Even though a lot of people hate it, you got to admit, the battles were pretty awesome

C-3P0 on crack
the fuck does that look like

I just got here from the stream and DAMN I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU REMEBERED ME!! THANK YOU TREE!!!

aaahh... i love those momments in wich i remember how i f#cking love StarWars!
I respect you for having the Xbox one in the beginning of the video.
so much nostalgia in this video
"It's easy to be engrossed for hours" your right about that SHIT I HAVE TO DO MY HOMEWORK
I heard the song where "Ani" marched on the Jedi temple during order 66 a couple times
FYI at 11:54, I'm pretty sure it was Alpha-17 who said that (A character from the comics)
Literally my only complaint at the new Battlefront is that the battles are only max 40 players. Other than that, I love it!
YES YES YES! NICE VIDEO!
I do hope the prequel content will be available in the new Battlefront as it did in the previous installments. I for one would love to play as a clone commando or a Droideka.
This comment did age well
2:13 "Empire Droids"? Think you need to look that one up again
A big part of the reason why Rogue Sqaudron didn't sell nearly as many copies was because it was a Gamecube game and the Battlefront games were Ps2 games. And Ps2 sold like 130 million more consoles than the Gamecube.
That was Alpha-17 who said "They grow up loyal to the republic or they don't grow up at all"
This felt more like a "Why is Battlefront so succesful?" Game Theory honestly XD
im very very sick the day is dec 3rd 2015 i came out because im nice to watch a story you never knew
Battlefront 2 was my favorite game since i was 5
Well done as always, and thanks for think for me again
Battlefront 2 is one of my favourite games of all time
it is still fun to make it a goal to never die in every battle.
".....with a destiny....."
*Inserts the Hoff's head over Darth Vader's......LOL.
You got yourself a sub!!!...
and someone who is now going to play battlefront
2:59 Why is the clone trooper on the cover of SWBF2 orange instead of blue???
Owen and Peru are aunt and uncle, his parents did not all die, because his father vader was still alive at the time

perfect music choice for this vid
I feel like Force Awakens didn't have that gritty complexity you were talking about, I hope the next 2 do.
Good video man. And i was been a subscriber for years by the way man.
your voice is freaking me out and getting in my head
the 2004 Battlefield was the best. bought it for my self for Christmas along with the original Xbox in 2012 played it till the disk broke then got a PC and play it on there now

"Empire Droids" haha.
awe man!! my sides hurt from laughing and i made a lil bit o pee in my undies! well done!!!
You should do a Commander Shepard story you never knew.
Those family members killed were not luke's mom and dad, that was his aunt Beru and uncle Ben...i think that's their names...
I love this guys voice
This is very well said. Keep it up.
Batllefront II is one of the best games I ever played
8:09 lol Jedi temple march
so you guys should do the story you never knew about Nero from devil may cry like for real his back story is non-existent and I think it be a good challenge for you guys
