As i'm an all console gamer except Wii. PS4 have improves a lot things. i'm glad the XMB still there and the new interface are really cool. There're those people who hate the XMB and those who disappointed that the traditional Playstation XMB is not on the PS4. Now we all know there's a win-win for everyone. There's a new interface and a still has XMB on top.
Microsoft had no previous controller design to build upon when coming up with the original Xbox, so the company had to look elsewhere for inspiration. It looked to the Dreamcast, where it got the A, B, X & Y buttons, their colours (though their placement was swapped), two true analog triggers and even expansion slots. What's cool about this is that because the Xbox 360's pad is so similar to the Xbox's S controller, the Dreamcast inspiration lives on to this day in Microsoft's machine...
10:00 He is not using the Touchpad, he is using the Dualshock 4 controller as a 'Wand' to move the circle cursor across the letters on the keyboard. The playstation camera tacks the Colour bar in the room and that is how it is done.
Look at that eye candy of an UI. Good job Sony. Same with the Xbox One. Both are very beautiful systems that are very awesome in their own ways. People need to realize that both consoles are capable of very awesome things. Can't wait to pick this up on my birthday! Nov.15th
I partially agree. I've been an Xbox 360 gemer for years now, but that's where I think a lot of the dislikes come from; people who stuck with Microsoft and end up feeling utterly betrayed. As one of those people, I'll never feel any guilt in disliking an Xbox One video.

All you have to do on the xbox 360s dashboard is press the left or right bumper buttons. The more money that goes towards xbox live, and their exclusives the better content we get.

I have already pre ordered my Xbox one but I think this will be the first generation where I will have to get both consoles. They both have so much going for them but honestly I feel the play station has more upside at this point and a lot of that is because they have made all the right moves from the start. JEALOUS!
You're right. but from what we know right now the X1 will be a far better system for online games. Dedicated servers and cloud computing is something the PS4 lacks. For most people the obvious choice would be the X1 since most people play multi-platform games.
I love the XMB and am super glad it stayed. It's quick, efficient, clean and simple; a tonne better than the lousy Xbox dashboard with those stupid boxes and windows.

How did they fuck up? They brought AAA titles to E3 and now mostly indie titles to Gamescom. What did you expect, more AAA titles? And then when would they announce the indie games? At the VGAs? Seriously? At TGS? Hell no. They did the right thing.
PS3 interface was easy to navigate through. No extra windows to pull up and you had to back pedal to get back there. PS4 interface looks like PS3 and XBox interfaced smashed together. Looks good though. You can expect updates on this throughout it's lifetime.

Just so you know when you say triggers I am talking about triggers that simulate the trigger of a weapon. PS3 had convex triggers and the Xbox had concave triggers. Two completely different feels and not a copy of xbox at all since one is rounded in while the other is rounded out incase you don't know what concave or convex means since you seem to be slow. The new PS4 will now have concave triggers.
they had a problem with the live stream... the guy that was supposed to change the camera position had trouble with it... two guys cleared that out at the end
If you can't judge game before they come out, then you can't judge consoles before they come out either. "Which system had to make the most changes to compete with the other,which one is cheaper, and has better perks?" You can do the same with games. Game have different prices, perks, and changes just like consoles. "The games have more that comes with it like graphics, gameplay, storyline, and etc" And you find those things out with trailers and interviews, just like you do with consoles.
You obviously didn't understand what I said. With voice commands on the kinect we can just say xbox start this or that or search for this or that. so ads don't really matter. Not to mention ads have never gotten in the way of the xbox's dashboard. Doubt they'll change that with the X1.

Yes the specs are nearly identical but where there is difference it is in favor of the PS4. All the difference's add up to about 25% better performance on the PS4

Looks really revolutionary...... errr no actually looks pretty much the same as the last interface give or take new features I doubt ill ever use. Still getting a PS4 but personally I prefer the xbox interface. The music section needs a massive revamp hope thats been worked on!!

Pretty much, I own a Surface Tablet and Microsoft basically uses apps on metro like film, tv, music, games etc to be all about advertising itself. There is no real dedicated apps for your own content, it's basically integrated like a sidebar to the advertising store of Microsoft's music, video, games etc Microsoft have an ingrained mentality that their products should aggressively advertise which really isn't good and comes off as annoying bloatware that you have to use.

Those where very early builds, the xbox one wasn't even there, it wasn't ready yet and had to be replaced with high end PCs. Try the Xbox One at a test drive (on the road Xbox One tour of America) or just wait.
The camera pulling back the entire conference was a joke. I hope someone was fired over that. Was almost as if it was on a random timer because there was no rhyme or reason to why it was pulled back half the time it was. I was yelling at my computer screen. LOL Regardless, I'm stoked

Like I said the ads typically are out of the way. You notice them but if you actually were someone who played the xbox regularly you would just ignore them. Like I sad though pushing the bumpers on the xbox make it fast to get to the tab you need to get to without having to press and the d-pad or analog sticks a lot.
Sega helped Microsoft. Look at the Dreamcast controller and compare it with 360's controller. I read that people who worked at Sega left and worked/helped Microsoft Research.

Your making a big deal out of ads that don't get in the way and aren't forcing you to click on them or waste your time looking at them. And every peer to peer game has issues with multiplayer connections.
The XMB is one of the best UI's ever made. It's so simple and beautiful. This looks even better.

The way you said it implies that the PS3 came out in 2004. The PS3 came out November 2006, approx 1 year AFTER the XBOX-360
