You've mentioned 2 of my heroes!!!! Thank you for mentioning my good friend, David Oakes as well.

I recently came across jimmy wyble's name through multiple people at once (Adam Levy, Meg Duffy), which led me to this channel. There is such a wealth of ideas, it's almost overwhelming. Along with Ted Greene's material I think I should be busy for a long time!
Anyway, thank you for your effort and I hope you're doing well.

Hey Ian, are you familiar with The Arcana Series? (Curated by John Zorn) -- notably Bill Frissel has a chapter in Vol 1 on Open string scales/concepts & Julian Lage has a chapter in Vol 8 (Identical to the notes he shares if you're lucky enough to attend a pre-show masterclass) [I'd be happy to send you the chapters]. Thought I'd mention it because you've shared so much and if this is new to you i hope its exciting.
Would love you to look more at the concept of Barry's borrowing idea. Also how you go about practise Thomas Echol's elevator -- the guy is such a master its overwhelming trying to navigate the wealth of knowledge in those videos. Really appreciate your channel man.

Thanks Nimzo! I've been out of touch posting these last few weeks, but will be back on it this week. I haven't heard of the Arcana series, anything you can share would be amazing! I'm happy to help you with any of Thomas' ideas, he's an incredible thinker to say the least. Barry's ideas don't have to be complex by any means, we can use them in the simplest ways and can find ways to connect them to what we already know. I'd love to make some videos on what you're interested in, is there anything in particular I can help with or answer on the next video? Thanks!
